“I recently checked out Van Leeuwen and it was such a delightful experience! Their homemade ice creams are incredibly creamy, with fun flavors. I got honeycomb and brown sugar cookie dough and it was very yummy. The staff are super friendly and the interior is great for taking pictures, with bright colors and decor. Highly recommended.“

“Always drive by but never stopped. This weekend we finally stopped and it’s was really good! Prices were reasonable and the girls at the window were very friendly! We got 3 soft serves and one cyclone (slush and ice cream) Pistachio soft serve was a fam fav! We will be back next time we’re in the mood for a cold treat!“

“Since they opened in the early 1980s (could any ice cream be better than Steve's I wondered back then?), they have been hands downs serving the creamiest and tastiest ice cream in the Boston area. My go-to flavors are any of the ones with hazelnut (nocciola & gianduja -- which either they are now calling nutella or they have added yet another hazelnut flavor -- and all of their chocolates, especially Belgian chocolate, the occasional orange-chocolate, and Mexican chocolate). There's nothing like that to be had like these in most of the rest of the local ice cream shops. If only I could get there more often I would branch out more 'cause there are still plenty of enticing flavors I haven't tried yet. It's a pricey treat, especially since I can recall 1980s ice cream prices! But if I want to treat myself, this is the spot. I gave them one star off for service because the folks behind the counter just aren't as cheerful and friendly as a generation ago. A sign or our times perhaps.“

“This is hands down the best pistachio and strawberry ice cream I’ve ever tasted! The flavors are so rich and authentic, with a perfect balance of sweetness that truly brings out the taste of fresh pistachios and ripe strawberries. The cone was incredible – crisp, buttery, and freshly made, making it the ideal complement to the creamy ice cream. Every bite was a delight, and I honestly can’t praise it enough. Without a doubt, this is my favorite ice cream spot in Boston, and I can’t wait to come back!“

“i got richie,s slush for the first time this year, I was so excited!, but then i noticed i think richie's slush changed their recipe for their slush. it just dont taste the same. I dont know if it was do to covid? But I do know it dont taste the same. It tastes more like a sherbet or sorbet. but its definitely not slush. so dispointed! #richie'slush“

“Thank you! I tried your dairy free Black Raspberry Oreo, and it’s a game changer! Finally a dairy free ice cream that has the right consistency and tastes like actual ice cream. I was so excited that I could taste the black raspberry without any hint of almonds/sunbutter/coconut as is always the case at other places. Cal’s Creamery is the best! “I would definitely recommend a visit here. I tried creamy yummy sugar free ice cream that was not icy or taste like chemicals. I also had a great normal sugar but super sweet blackberry ice cream. I wish I has a little more blackberry flavor. I also had a scoop of ginger ice cream which was unfortunately a little icy and the ginger flavor was a touch muted, but still tasty. Staff let me sample each flavor and I got a cute little bowl so I could walk and eat it on the nice hot July4th day. The atmosphere- it is a place you grab and go and it is small, a narrow shop you might miss if driving a bit too fast. They have pints for take out and are willing to make you one in house if they don't have the flavor in the freezer. For about $8 a nice place to stop in. Definitely worth it.“

The person working was Ta-Neja and she recommended the most delicious ice cream flavors, I immediately changed my original choice to whatever she said! Come here!!!! “I went to Michele's to buy too ice creams totaling 16 dollars and something cents plus a 3 dollar tip ..I have my little shitzoo with me my sandy was thirsty because it's hot and muggy out side so I asked the girl if I could have a small cup of ice water for my dog and she tells the price of the water was 2.50 I said for tap water and she saids yes we're low on ice so I said just give me a small cup of tap water without ice for my dog and I will pay for the cup ..the manager turns around and saids no we can't do that... so I ask him why your not dog friendly or you don't like dogs he then tells me he has no tap water ..what a joke...then he said his brother is the manager and he needs to follow the rules so I said to him your going to lose a customer and get a bad review on yelp over a small cup of tap water and he said yes so here we are ....he just lost a customer over tap water I am a dog lover my dog goes everywhere with me and I never had a problem going to any other place for tap water for my dog so this brings me to one conclusion that they don't care for animals and any place that don't like animals I don't want anything to do with so all you animal lovers don't go to Michele's ice cream because there are so many icecream places around the surrounding areas that are pet friendly...shame on you guys ..“

“This place is great!! The staff is awesome and always soooo kind. Never had a bad experience here and never will. This place is reasonably priced, moves the line quick, and most importantly has THE best Richardson’s ice cream. My favorite is the peanut butter oreo! Not just dog friendly but dog lovers! The girl who took my order loved my dog and even told me that they can have soft serve vanilla! Now me and my dog can get a tasty treat from this amazing shop!“

“Came in for my first time despite living in the area for so long! Alex and Carlos were very inviting and took care of my family and I! They really made it fun and engaging for my kids letting them try flavors and left a smile on all of our faces. I will defitnely be back if Carlos and Alex is working again!
4 star review because they were out of space cake would’ve been 5“
