“Had an amazing dinner there recently. Went on a weeknight and seated right away. Our server (forgive me if not correct) I believe was Stephanie. Very knowledgeable, kind, attentive. Knew every detail about the menu. Drinks and appetizers came quickly. Had chowder, which was excellent as well as a caprese. Also excellent. 4 dinners came out and every single one was a perfect size, cooked great and tasted delicious. Cannot recommend highly enough“

“This is a really nice place in terms of environment, really warm atmosphere, you can feel like you are at your grandma’s house during the winter, that is how I was feeling.
The service is amazing, people working there is so nice, gentle and sweet. The drinks….. the drinks….. wine and beer are 100% local, home made, and those were just amazing. Different wines like red, white and sweet, all great. My concern, the menu. The have a very notable difference between the lunch menu and the dinner menu. Lunch is basically sandwiches, no too many options. Make sure to check the menu before visiting and make sure to go at a time according what you would like to eat.“

“Absolutely the best N. Y. Sirloin I have ever tasted. It was thick, tender and favorable, served with a chicken-of-the-woods reduction that was perfectly paired with the steak. Reservations are recommended and the place was full within the first hour of operation. It can be a little noisy, but that's to be expected for an restaurant that is as popular as Romaine's. Service was adequate and attentive for the Saturday night crowd“

“ok, so I'm not sure what happened tonight, but a far different experience from a few weeks ago. Then Iwas impressed with service, food, cocktails. the whole experience was just wonderful last time. after that girls night out, I raved to hubby "we got go there!" I work in Leominster, but live 45 mins away, so we usually dine out more local to home. Tonight started with an espresso martini...well, they've decided to top it with a cold foam type of topping. so the whole top have inch of the glass is foam, not beverage. martinis are expensive, a martini should be brim full, disappointed and felt cheated for the price. I ordered their boneless "jumbo chicken wings". turned out to be 6 little chunks of chicken, not much bigger than mcnuggets, and they were way over cooked to the point they were rock hard. I had to discreetly remove some from my mouth because they were beyond rock-hard. a dining companion in the group had the same experience with hers.the sauces I chose to accompany were tasty, but they didn't do much to help the chicken. the female bartender was great, attentive, and happy. wish I could rave, but not this time sadly.will try again because I don't think this was normal“

We sat at their bar set up overlooking the grill. The gentle man next to us had these massive plates of food. I decided to order what they had. My dish came with steak and an additional option of protein. I asked for a recommendation and they suggested the shrimp. I'm not a huge shrimp fan but let me tell you these were fantastic! Perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The steak was well seasoned and grilled Perfectly. It came with a very generous portion of sauted vegetables. Delicious rice, homefries and eggs sandwiched between 2 corn tortillas. Homemade gauc and some black beans on the side. I was given the option to try their homemade hot sauce! “We live near by and friends have been telling us to go here for pizza. We finally stopped in for dinner and we were glad we did. The waitress was so friendly. Her reccomendations were spot on. My husband's martini was perfect. Really enjoyed the patty melt and the pizza was the best we have had in a long time. We will definetly be back!“

But for anyone unfamiliar, think of it as a Chili’s with a bit more dining space beyond the bar or an Outback without the grilled steaks.

I was curious about what sets 99 apart from similar chains like Applebee’s, and the answer I got was simple: “They think they’re better and charge more.” While neither is glaringly obvious, the menu does offer a few standout dishes, like the Shepherd’s Pie - a refreshing option compared to the usual burgers and fried food lineup.

The quahogs are amazing, lobster rolls are fantastic and so are the desserts! Atmosphere is very casual. Exactly what you would expect from a diner style experience; and the staff is just so nice. It's cash only though. There is an ATM inside but if you want to avoid the $2 ATM fee, bring cash.“
