“Nothing but great things to say about this place as a wedding venue. The barn is beautiful. The food is fantastic. The staff is amazing. I can’t tell you how many people told me this was the best wedding they had ever been to. You can’t beat the convenience of having a hotel right at the venue, it made everything seamless. Krystel the event producer, Toufik the food and beverage manager, and Andrew the inn keeper are rockstars at what they do. My wife and I could not have had a more perfect wedding. Worth every penny.“
“Ordered dinner tonight for 5 South Main. First the woman who took my order was so pleasant! We ordered the bolognese and the meatloaf. It was outstanding. Just like a home cooked meal. The meatloaf had a fig glaze on it. I thought it might be too sweet but it wasn't. The mashed potatoes and green beans were cooked perfectly! The bolognese had a flavorful sauce not acidic and plenty of meat in the sauce. Would definitely order this again. Absolutely delicious!“
“I wish I lived closer. If I was even 40 minutes from Bia I would be here weekly if not daily. The food is impeccable, the service is the same and the atmosphere is everything you would want in a dining or bar experience. It's a must visit.“
“I have been on a date to the Blue Oar with my girlfriend, the staff was lovely, they arranged a quite cozy table in a corner and offered us coffee, food and cocktails were delicious (brussels sprouts, tuna and burgers). It has a very friendly atmosphere, I saw also people coming with their families or with friends, for a beer or dinner. Recommend wholeheartedly! Cheers from Paris, France!“
“got the omelette special, omelette, cornbread, homefries, and got coffee. waitress was super nice and kept the coffee coming, very welcoming establishment. i understand why they have a line! place is very cute and homely, they even have real coca cola barstools! barstools arent for the faint of heart but it was nice to sit and read and enjoy some coffee“
“Best blueberry pancakes in the area. My companion had the western omelet enjoyed it greatly, said it was better than any he has had previously. We try breakfast restaurants in the Bridgewaters, Hanson, Kingston, Weymouth, Whitman, and Abington-Martins is a cut above the others.“
“We were absolutely blown away by this establishment. The ambience, the service, the caliber of the food, we're all top-notch. We will absolutely be back. We live in Hingham but we didn't realize this place existed. It is honestly incredible. The food is very inventive and Versatile. White table cloths / fine dining, beautiful cathedral ceilings, great music. Friendly staff. Perfect lighting. Great for date night or family outing, can be casual or elevated. Whatever you prefer. We had the pork bun, the meatballs, and the swordfish and South and chicken. All were perfectly executed.“
“Food and service excellent as always Patrick the manager is awesome and does a great job We always ask for Andrea or Cheryl for our server Our go to restaurant always consistent, never had a bad meal Have been going there for over twenty years-five years“
“We used to come here nearly weekly, the we mived. Not far, but far enough not to go anymore. When we left, the restaurant had just changed hands and was trying hard to maintain the homey feeling the joint already had .We visited for the first time in two years on a weekday and I'm happy to say the have settled in nicely. We were even recognized by our waitress - which really was a great feeling. The food was really terrific, even though the kitchen was a bit backed up. Everything was hot, plentiful and delicious. And our waitress was delightful. Thanks, Anita Marie's!“
“Undoubtedly the best breakfast place if you are in a staycation at Nantasket beach resort! The cashier brook is really kind and sweet. There is no option to pay tip via card so be generous to bring some cash. An old gentleman prepares the food and another lady garnish and serve it to customers.I was surprised to find some tasty bakery item apart from usual lunch and brunch sandwich option.I’m pretty sure this is probably one of the favorite breakfast place for the locals. You can see people living in beautiful houses in front of the sea.We had avocado toast and Greek toast. They had special house blend coffee and I tried sweet pudding from the bakery section.I found almost everyone from Nantasket resort had their breakfast at this place. The food portion was more than enough and they had seating space tables and a couch. Please clean up after you are done. Don’t leave anything for these three hard working human.Enjoy the food and vibe! Let those three people help you.“
“My fiancé and I moved to Weymouth a few months ago and one of the first places we went to eat was Johnny Kono's. At first, we were thrown off by how few tables there were, but once we settled in and the food started coming, it has become one of our favorite places to eat. The El Chapo wings are some of the best we've ever had, great spice and flavor with a some acidity to tie it all together. The burgers are incredible, even the Louis lunch burger, which although very simple, always is delicious. They really live up to their claim of being a "Five Star Dive Bar." We're excited to keep coming back and trying more menu items.“
“Wow...very surprised to go to Square Cafe in Hanover and find out it may be even better than Square Care in Hingham. Food was delicious, service was excellent and ambiance was cozy. The place was packed on a weeknight and it's easy to see why. This will be a "go to" place for us in the future.“
“Went for the first time last night. Really reminded me of the Pubs I frequented while in Ireland. (Served a proper pour of Guinness, not usual for most bars in the area. ). Service was friendly and fast. Food is good, well cooked, and very reasonably priced. We were there on a Wednesday for Open Mic Night and very much enjoyed the music. Live music of one kind or another every evening but Monday & Tuesday. Good crowd made it feel like the perfect neighborhood hangout. We'll be back soon!“
“Probably the best Prime Rib I’ve had in awhile. GIANT slab of meat, maybe an inch and a half thick, super tender, very flavorful, melted in my mouth ?On the specials menu only $31.99 after 6pmGuess it sells out quick and I can see why. (We sat down at 5:55) The table next to us was asking for it as soon as they sat down. Our waitress Patty was amazing, she hooked it up with a container of their delicious Au jus to take home since we couldn’t finish everything at the restaurant.. I took two more bites when I got home because it was that good.9.79/10#primerib #hullmassachusetts #schoonerrestaurant“
“We held a Celebration of Life luncheon for my sister-in-law at the Barker House, and it was wonderful, classy and flawless. I live in Georgia, so never even saw the venue or met Andrew or Camryn in person until I showed up two hours before the event. It was perfect and they were so very compassionate. Highly recommend this venue and event planning team!“
“So, I discovered that I am not as in love with a traditional boiled dinner as I used to be. It was mostly flavorless until I added vinegar. I still rated them highly as I think it is my tastes that have changed. Still, $27 was a lot to pay for what I got. We will certainly still go back.“
“I wasn’t expecting the food to be this good. We had the fish and chips and the burger. Tip: Change the regular fries for truffle fries.Shout out to Caeleigh G for doing a great job taking care of us.Request to the restaurant: Give us more than two pieces of bread for two people. The bread is delicious!Parking: We got there at 5:30 PM on a Saturday. We didn’t have issues finding parking.“
“Stopped in for the first time around 9:30 a.m. and ordered breakfast; eggs Florentine (shown). The portions were huge; the service was friendly and the atmosphere was cozy. It was surprisingly busy. Although prices seem to be high at first, they are comparable to other breakfast places. I enjoyed my breakfast there and will likely go back. Next time I will order a healthier option like multigrain pancakes with banana.“
“We had dinner last night and Christina was an excellent waitress, she is very pleasant and a hard worker. We would love to have her be our waitress again. And our dinner was excellent had the burger and the haddock as usual which is out standing. Thank you Christina for making our night.Dietary restrictions: you can let the waitress know if you have any restrictions“
“We finally returned to The Snug since before COVID restrictions. We loved the Irish music and oldies bands. We arrived before the music this evening and were lucky to be seated immediately. It is usually crowded and noisy. Our server was personable and got our drinks and food quickly. The Snug is, as the name suggests, a snug Irish pub filled with Irish memorabilia. The Smithwicks had a plump foamy head and is lighter than Guinness. My SO's sangria had a hint of peach schnapps flavor. The Greek salad was more than enough for two. The fried haddock sandwich was so big I thought it was the fish dinner. The fish was flaky with a crunchy exterior and the roll was soft and delicious. I had it served with vegetables; the carrots and green beans were tasty but the broccoli was cold. The appetizing chicken salad sandwich was a bit different; shredded chicken and craisins were on a hot dog bun and the mayo was on the side. We will return to The Snug soon to enjoy the music, food and drinks.“
“I have heard people at my workplace talk about how this place is political and they don't feel welcome with the Blue Lives Matter flag, but I have never seen any of the staff be nasty here and for me I don't judge by what others say I judge it by my own experience with the food, service, and the atmosphere. And I would say I have never had a bad experience here. There was one time some guy let his kids take our scratch tickets but it didn't have to do with the restaurant just a couple bad apples in town. They'll get their karma The food here is consistently great, and the pizza is the best in town. The bartenders and waitresses here are also great and make us feel welcome. A great restaurant overall!“
“Does Joe's really need an introduction? It's been the same small coffee/breakfast joint for like 60 years, there must be a reason. The owners are basically your grandparents, except they can cook better than them. (Even if you don't want to admit it.) They are super friendly and won't hesitate to tell you their story. The hash and eggs were phenomenal, my friend said, "it was the best french toast I have ever eaten." Also the home fries are all hand cut. It's a tight place with a couple tables and some bar stools to overlook where the magic happens. Check it out, don't just drive by ✌️“
“Went there for a private event, but besides that, the food was delicious, staff was very attentive and make you feel right at home. And the views are beautiful. I would normally not give 5 stars as I think there is always something to improve but this place and the people here made me forget that.“
“WOW!!We ABSOLUTELY had an amazing time hosting the Rehearsal Dinner for my sons wedding at Scarlet Oak Tavern last Friday night!!The team. . .was just. . .AMAZING!!!w/a special shout-out the team who helped make it special: Cam / Dennis / Eileen / Julia HThe food was SPECTACULAR; the service was 1ST CLASS. . and everyone truly enjoyed themselves!!“
“I was excited to see they've changed their menu as I was tired of the same old offerings year after year. The two salads we ordered were fresh and delicious. The Caesar was huge, chopped and very garlicky and came with a Parmesan crisp. The second salad was endive, blue cheese, candied walnuts and was large. Dressing on this salad was just ok but salad was nice and fresh. The salmon entree was perfectly cooked and had delicious green beans and sticky rice as sides. The pesto and ricotta baked pasta was absolutely terrible. The pesto wasn't basil pesto but I think was tasteless spinach pesto (I asked the waiter and he had no idea what type of pesto it was). There was barely any ricotta in it and it was dry as a bone. The meatballs that came on the side were good but an odd choice as an accompaniment to the baked pasta (they were in red sauce and pasta was green). They need to get this pasta dish swapped out with another type of pasta entree that isn't over cooked and dry and flavorless. Cocktails are interesting and unusual. Ambiance and service both top notch. We'll be back, I just will order better next time and skip the pasta.“
“Went for the 1st. Time to royal pizza today my daughter and I both got a chicken cutlet and chicken Parm. Ooo and there backlava I have to say it was the best food I've ever had everything was fresh and real chicken not frozen. I will definitely take the 48 minute ride back there again that's how great the food was. Thank “
“I loved it here! My first time, food was great, service was great, and it's very clean in here. Our waitress was so nice and sweet too :) The french toast was BOMB definitely recommen. Food was nice and fresh, definitely will be coming back !!“
“went there for an early Easter dinner. did not have a reservation but they accommodated us very nicely. i had the cafe bolognese and the only complaint i have was no room for dessert. the food was superb! and the staff was excellent!highly recommend trying out if your in the area.“
“I went there with my friends Saturday afternoon. When I realized it was Irish food I got nervouse. But I got the chicken Dianne and it was the best I ever had. Nevermind the fact the staff was amazing. My waitress was absolutely stunning and so polite. I'll definitely be going back many times a month.hopefully get the same staff. I left a large tip. You have to go.trust me.“
“Server was friendly and efficient.Great food and prices!Baked scallops, baked haddock and rib eye with potato and veg, each for about $23, unheard of!Portion size was plentiful and the food was fresh and hot with one exception.Vegetables weren’t hot but still tasty.Worth a return visit!“
“Excellent EVERYTHING! Fortunately, no affiliation with Gerards in Plymouth, Manomet. Really nice selection of food here. A+++. Definitely coming back. I would have been here sooner had I known they were not affiliated with the Gerards in Plymouth.“
“Great little breakfast place near where my niece lives in Weymouth. Great food, great service. Plenty of options on the menu. My niece said the eggs Benedict with corned beef hash was delicious. I had eggs, hash browns, sausage and french toast. All very good. Not 5 stars excellent food. But very good breakfast. Average prices. Plenty of seating. Lovely, clean bathrooms! Decent parking in lot. Definitely recommend. ?“
“Food-I had breakfast - the best home fries I ever had in my life. Instead of rye bread , I had their corn bread- it was absolutely delicious, ( mine you I hate corn bread) The coffee was delicious, my eggs over easy made to perfection , challah French toast - again the best I ever eaten. Bacon nice and crispy. ( I hate bacon that isn't cook all the way through). This is by far the Best Breakfast Place I ever been too, bar none. The service : our waitress was absolutely wonderful. Morgan is a very professional, pleasant, and very knowledgeable about the cuisine. She recommended peppermint, hot chocolate drink that was amazing . Ambiance - a wonder place to visit with friend and family. It was like being at home. A safe place for children and old age like . Great family atmosphere. Parking was available in front of the restaurant. I highly recommend the Stars On Hingham Harbor. A must stop if you are ever in Hull Massachusetts. First time here and I promise it won't be my last . . I understand now why it is call the Star on Hingham Harbor. The food , the service , ambiance are stellar. Sincerely, Carlos M. Huertas Retired Fire Chief and Emergency Management Director“
“We went to dinner here on a Tuesday night and they were packed which was a great first sign (they must be good if they are that busy on a Tuesday). They still sat us right away. Our waitress was so sweet and attentive to us the whole time we were there. All of the food just blew us away! It was absolutely amazing and so full of flavor. I can not wait to get back over there again“
“They made it through the covid alright. They managed through alright! Saw James Montgomery Sunday afternoon. 4 hours of music. GREAT!!! I haven't seen him perform in decades LOL Usually on Sunday afternoon, they have open mike . If you want to practice in front of a live audience? Let it rip!!!U can get food to go, But I like the atmosphereGood staff & plenty of staff. Clean bathrooms. They have a sign out front with the week's special guests. Bands around the area and they have some that are not. Go to the website? Or drive bye. Better yet, go grab a bite to eat,by the way, the cook is good & quick. My wife went to a crochet class last Wednesday night. I wasIn the bar and table area to play pool and KenoSo stop reading this and Go, AlreadyMom's and Dad, Tell Ur Significant Other to get baby sitter and get out of the house. If you're not boggled down with kids ,go have fun. If you're looking for someone to have fun with,go to players. There's a lot of singles there on weekends. I don't get paid for this, I'm not a robot. I just know a good place when I see one“
“I recently had the pleasure of dining at Rivershed in Killington, VT, and it was a fantastic experience. The food was exceptional, offering a creative and diverse menu that catered to a range of tastes. From the fresh seafood to the mouthwatering steaks, every dish was prepared with precision and care, showcasing the chef's culinary expertise. The service at Rivershed was top-notch, with the staff providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, offering excellent recommendations and ensuring that our dining experience was memorable. One of the highlights of the evening was the impressive beer menu. Rivershed boasts an extensive selection of craft beers, including local brews and international favorites. The variety of flavors and styles was truly impressive, and the staff was more than happy to provide guidance for those seeking the perfect beer to complement their meal.Overall, Rivershed is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates delicious food, exceptional service, and a stellar beer selection. I can't wait to return to indulge in more of their culinary delights and explore their ever-evolving beer offerings.“
“I really enjoy Middle Ground. The bartender that served us couldn’t be stumped by our drink requests. Friendly and accommodating. The food is very good. Been here 3 times so far and haven’t had a bad meal. The atmosphere is comfortable. Definitely going back. And soon..“
“Went to JST on 3/30/24 with large party. Server, Antoinette, who we learned has been there 20+ years, greeted us with a smile that lasted through her entire attentive service to our experience. With a new owner, the newly done decor would make TLC’s “Restaurant Impossible“ proud. The bar was full, but separated from the dining area, so that ambiance was alive but not overwhelming.Everyone at our table complimented the food presentation, flavor, and amount on their plates (Yes, doggy bags were requested at meals’ end.),The 2 plates of Calamari were golden in color and cooked just right. The accompanying tomato sauce was thick and hearty (“Just like Momma makes.”). We did sample each other’s plates (From their presentations, how could we not?). The meatballs were flavorful with the right hint of sausage. Spaghetti cooked to our discerning Italian Uncle’s complete approval. Salmon was generous and baked just right showing visual succulence, steaks tips were many and juicy. And the sausage cacciatore was so flavorfu, consumption only ended when the doggy bags arrived. We sampled and really enjoyed almost all of the decadent desserts including Crème Brûlée, Tiramisu, and Chocolate Lava Cake.Anthony, the manager, checked in with us more than once. He was affable without the overbearing of Artie from The Sopranos. We’ll definitely be back next week. The pricing was more than fair, and we can’t wait to try their breakfasts.Definitely recommend you go. You’ll be more than satisfied and happy and probably leave wondering “Why can’t they be open on Mondays?”“

“Nice neighborhood place along 53 in Hanover. Visited on a busy Saturday night. Stuck mostly to drinks and appetizers. Calamari and chicken tenders were better than expected. Buffalo chicken flatbread good as well. Definitely worth checking out.“
“Very cool spot. Especially if you can get a seat outside! Or if you are using the driving range. I've been here many times over the years for both private functions and regular dining. Every time I've had a great time and the food has been consistently decent... On my most recent visit, I came here for dinner with friends. We started with the nachos, which were much better than expected! The chips were smothered in an ample amount of delicious toppings and a cheese sauce (not just plain shredded cheese) but were somehow not soggy at all. Everyone at the table raved about how good they were! For my entree, I ordered the baked haddock and let me tell you, this is one of the BEST baked haddocks on the South Shore (and I've had a lot of them!). The fish tastes fresh (not frozen) and the buttered breadcrumb topping is delightful. The broccoli that came with it was also delicious and cooked perfectly, however the rice was surprisingly bad - I thought it had a terrible flavor! Even still, I would order this dish again for the haddock alone, I thought it was that good! Would definitely recommend checking this place out, especially outside in the warm weather :)“
“There for a wedding rehearsal after party. They had an assortment of finger food placed at each table, so if you were 15 minutes late, the plated appetizer food was cold. They brought out another round of food later but would of preferred waves of the food to enjoy it warm.Wheelchair accessibility: Brand new access.“
“When I went there, it was my 2nd day in the US ever. This place did not disappoint. Very authentic, very American, I loved it. All the screens showing different sports, the pale ale beer is extremely tasty, and the food was also very good. The staff was also friendly and attentive.“
“I absolutely love coming here, the food is amazing the atmosphere is absolutely perfect for any occasion. But the real reason i keep coming back is my bartender Kate and the excellent service i always get Kate is so kind and attentive anything I need she is always there.“
“The food and service is pretty good, but the atmosphere is similar to that of a bar, so it might be something that you don’t want. It’s pretty quiet though, so it’s not rowdy.Vegetarian options: It’s OK, but not the greatest. Maybe go somewhere else if you’re vegetarian or veganDietary restrictions: They’ll tell you what’s in a dishParking: It’s wrapped around the building and it’s pretty good.Kid-friendliness: Eh, not the greatest. It’s mildly less child friendly than the 99.Wheelchair accessibility: I remember it being ok, but there’s 2 sets of doors. There may or may not be stairs, I can’t remember.“
“My wife & I had dinner tonight, she had baked haddock, and I had the baked scallops. Both were exceptional! Best scallop dinner ever! I have a culinary background and I am not sure what they add to make their scallops & breadcrumbs so succulent, but I recommend this dish! Great service and prices!“
“Just had a fabulous meal yet again at the Mad a Hatter. We went specifically for the beef Wellington as my husband loves that. Everything was delicious! The cocktails are always perfect. I love this place, I do not understand why more people aren’t running to this place on a Thursday for dinner. Top notch food and service! Excellent prices and a great atmosphere!“
“Love this restaurant. The wings are excellent and the Hippy Dippy salad is a go to for a delicious fresh salad! The bar serves fabulous, creative drinks. The couches in front of the fire make the perfect spot to catch up with friends and enjoy a drink. The owners are lovely and the service, fantastic.“
