He's always pleasant, respectful and after all theses years loves what he does. Food is fresh and yummy, in my tummy. Although I like to try other food restaurants. “I’ve been eating at Vaughn since I was a little girl. I am 37 years old and still crave some vaughn. Food always fresh & fried hard to my liking. The girl that lied stating their fish is dry and they didn’t give you no tar tar sauce but it’s in the picture you took, YOU ARE GOOFY!!! Stay away trying to bring their ratings down. “The first time as a European tourist in Boston, of course, was also on my wish list to try a "lobster roll" for the first time in my life.\n\nOn a walk to the harbour, I came across JAMES HOOK & Co, where I was simply approached by the charming house, the decoration, the planting and the information that it was founded in 1925. \n\nMy credo is always "If a business has been on the market for such a long time...they know what they are doing, do it with passion and just have to be good + if someone values the external design, they also give value to their food and will prepare it well and create an appropriate ambience for them to shine and taste".\n\nUnfortunately, I had to realize that I was there three minutes before closing time, the employees were in the middle of cleaning up and cleaning. So I took a heart and asked one of the employees if I could still order a Lobster Roll quickly as it would be my last day in Boston and I would like to try a Lobster Roll once in my life. So he asked a colleague, who in turn went into the house and asked someone there. \n\nHe invited me to come in and I quickly ordered the original ...which I received within a minute and ate outside.\n\nSometimes simple compilations can be so good...even if you as a European can't imagine that at first and initially feel pity for the lobster that landed its triggered meat in simple mayo on a warm light simple bun...but honestly: \n\nIt was really delicious...and the composition was coherent. \nThe lobster meat was of very good quality...you could just taste it. It was nicely mixed with the delicious majo and pulled through, plus the warm bun....simple but damn delicious and authentic. \n\nI can wholeheartedly recommend it...and obviously many others. Because as I only read later, when I looked around on their website, JAMES HOOK & Co even received several awards.\n\nBesides, it is an owner-managed family business in the third generation..and such businesses that are an original and bring a lot of work and passion to their actions, I think it is important to support!“

“I went there for a late lunch today. The stuffed clam dinner came with a large portion of fries, a tasting of coleslaw, cocktail sauce and a roll. To be honest, 1 stuffed clam and a few fries was MORE than filling! I took the rest home for dinner - it was delicious! It was relatively quiet when I was there, and it was hard to find waitstaff when I needed something she forgot (they were all congregated by the “seat yourself / cash only” sign). I would definitely go again and get the side order of stuffed clams next time.“

“Had my first visit to Bootleg Special last night and it did not disappoint. Every aspect of the meal, from the creative drinks to the delicious appetizers to the fantastic main course was outstanding. Our server, Alex, was attentive and very pleasant. And last, but certainly not least, the beignets after dinner were spectacular. Looking forward to my next visit!“

“500 Ocean is a beautiful property with some amazing amenities. It is in a great location, surrounded by ocean views, restaurants and very accessible to the T, literally right below the building. My husband and I had a great experience living here and had rarely any issues. The main issue we had at move-in was addressed and we were even offered a small gift for the inconvenience. I love the maintenance staff and they are always so pleasant and helpful. One of my favorite parts of living here was having an in-house fitness coach/ personal trainer- Cienna Jade! She is so amazing to work with and has really helped me along my fitness journey. It was so convenient having her come to the 500 Ocean gym, which is one of the best gyms I've seen in an apartment home. She conducts 1 on 1 sessions and will literally work with you on scheduling a time that's convenient for you as well as offering group or couple sessions! Overall, very pleasant experience!“

“My favorite hand roll place. Overall great food and speedy service. The handrolls are super fresh and come out quickly so everything stays fresh and flavorful. We ordered salmon mango, foe grais, miso butter cod and spicy scallops and all of them are really good. Highly recommend the spicy scallops. Our server Stelle are friendly, efficient, and keep things moving without rushing you. Easy spot for a really satisfying meal.“

“I’d been wanting something spicy and carb-heavy for a long time, and this place absolutely hit the spot. Great for sharing, with spice levels to suit everyone. We tried the snow crab legs, shrimp po’ boy, and lobster rolls — the lobster rolls were the crowd favourite!
It is on the pricier side, but totally worth it for the quality and flavour. Highly recommend, and I’ll definitely be visiting again!“

“1st time here. Have driven by hundreds of times......not sure what I was thinking....it took figuring out that you can't get Alaskan King crab legs at Legal Seafoods to force me to try this place out. Took an order to go. A+ yes messy....very messy the middle Hot sauce was excellent and everywhere. Good fun. Shared as an appetizer and we all agree Good stuff. They have "All you can Eat" on Sat and Sun I believe for $30 so a great deal. We will try again. Tiny place maybe 10-12 tables so use OpenTable. I tried Boston they did not have anything for 3-4 days at 7pm. Also had a Brookline reservation. There are ~24 locations in 8-10 states.“

“I want to commend the service of two servers, Nick and John. I was dining here for the first time with a business colleague who highly recommended the restaurant. Nick came and greeted us and my friend warmly and expertly curated a delicious meal with sold recommendations, providing constant care and attention. John also assisted us throughout the evening and was making sure we were well taken care of. They took the dinner to the next level.
Highly recommended the candied bacon and porterhouse with mashed potatoes. Will be bringing future dinner guests to this establishment.“

“we had a wonderful experience all around on a busy Sunday. The manager, Russ, greeted us with a warm smile, setting the tone for a great evening. we sat outside and Jorge F, took great care of us. He was prompt but we never felt rushed. the food was excellent, the Lobster cones are a great new item. we also had the classic mussels. The grilled salmon was delicious. Russ was leading his team through a busy shift but was able to make time to ensure everything was just right. The best in the Seaport.“
