“This is my favorite Dunkin Donuts location in the area. There is a Koi Pond outside of it, and the area is very picturesque. The staff are friendly as well. The only downside is that they only have a few tables for seating inside, but I mostly do takeout.“

“What a cute coffee shop and bakery! I had the espresso soda, a cranberry scone, and a bag of black sesame short bread. The espresso was very flavorful and well made with good crema. The baked goods are incredible, lovely textures and flavors. It's sometimes hard to find a really good scone that isn't overly sweet and this really hit the right balance. Great service as well.“

“I highly recommend ordering a custom cake from muffin house. I absolutely loved our recently purchsed spiderman cake. Highly favorable at our party! sweet, but not too sweet. The cake was sponge like, butter cream & strawberries were amazing. Just hands down the best cake & not too over priced either! “Fantastic diner with great coffee and even better food! They were very accommodating to our large party of 8 people and the food was delicious and was brought to us very soon after ordering. All in all this is a great diner with fair prices! Can't really go wrong stopping here.“

“Cacao is a small cafe located in Newton Highlands, specializing in chocolate related confectionery and drinks.

We came in during the afternoon, and it was quite busy but the staff were very accommodating and knew the menu quite well, recommending some things to try out. They had a large assortment of pre-assembled goods to buy, such as chocolate covered nuts, as well as hot chocolate mix.

We tried the hot chocolate and the dulce de leche. The portion size was reasonable for the price, and the chocolate was pretty good. The hot chocolate was made primarily of dark chocolate, which isn't my favorite, but turned out to be a good choice as it cooled down and became more rich.

Overall, a great experience and would definitely come back to try again.“

Not to be dramatic, but their Pumpkin Spice Latte will change your life! Not the garbage 'pie spice' you get from other coffee shops, made with real pumpkin, this has a deep real-pumpkin flavor with a dash of pie spice making for the perfect fall beverage!

A friend had recommended it and I went in last Saturday and was so blown away, I met another friend there on Sunday! She is not a big pumpkin fan and even agreed how incredible this was! We both ordered avocado toast to go with it and that was delicious as well!

The staff here is so kind and helpful. We sat for a while and caught up and it was such a great vibe there.“

“I love this place- the vibes are good, the coffee is delicious, the staff are nice. However, in the last 3-4 weeks, the hours are not updated online or on their site, they don’t pick up the phone to confirm if they are open, and they have closed early by hours or shut down for days at a time. I’m not sure what is happening, but it would be great if the hours could be updated online for people who don’t live within 5 min and make a 15-20 min trek to come get great coffee!

“This tiny small store in Newton Centre serves up several variations of what is now my favorite dessert - mochi donuts. As I was never a big fan of (overly) sweet delights, I've never bothered to try them despite hearing about it until recently at an event. I was truly surprised as I didn't just take a bite BUT finished the whole thing in less than a minute (once again, a pretty big feat for someone who doesn't prefer sweet treats). It wasn't overly sweet like normal donuts and the texture is far more delightful and chewy as much as it was moist. The flavors were potent and quite addicting. It was my first time having their coffee, and my iced mocha latte was amazing. I immediately regretted not getting a larger size. They have some beans & instant coffee & other items for sale, too.“

“The decorative work on these pastries is 5 star. I tried the gluten free hazelnut chocolate cookie and did not like it. It was overwhelmingly cinnamon-y and the texture was like an oatmeal bar rather than a soft cookie. I also didn’t enjoy the vegan oat bar, which tasted overwhelmingly of coconut oil.

I DID enjoy the rooibos tea, which was a French tea brand I had never heard of: mariage freres.

It was a lovely subtle flavor, and the tea bags looked unbleached (though I did not verify that).

I would love to come back and try some of the not vegan or gluten free items, as my bakery impression was that things look amazing but have one controlling taste, but I know there was far more here than I tried.

“my usual go to starbucks on the weekends although this morning I wasn't very happy with having to wait 10-15 min for my drinks after my food order came out very quickly. the place wasn't even busy! 5 people behind the place and only one person making drinks one person taking orders one person making food orders. the other two walking around aimlessly. the barista making the drinks decided it was a good time to make himself an espresso as he started making my refreshers and when he drank it it dribbled from his mouth all over his shirt so he had to stop what he was doing to go clean up. not even a sorry about the wait after he put my drinks on the bar for pick up. also why are employees parking in the 2-hour customer parking spots, the signage suggests those are for customers only who I going to be there for 2 hours or less. considering it's a very small parking lot for customers I don't think employees should be parking there and taking up the space.“
