“DownRiver sells ice cream as well as nondairy options for those with an intolerance. The ice cream is rich and creamy and stays true to its flavoring. And the sorbets are very refreshing and smooth, the only problem i have with the ice cream is not with the dessert itself but with the portions. Even the kiddie cone is giant which is great if you want to save a little money, but is an issue when your kid can't finish it all and you end up wasting quite a but of money. The portions also make it harder to eat it all before it starts melting everywhere's. Other than that everything else is great. The service is as good as it gets, in my time going there they have never messed up an order and are kind to their customers. Some of the workers do need you to repeat your order once or twice which I find better than not getting your order right. The seating areas are all outdoors and its nice to enjoy during the summer, but can also be awful due to all the mosquitoes there are near the marsh. All together I give DownRiver 4 stars as I have deducted 1/2 a star from the gigantic portions and 1/2 a star for the mosquito prone area. Overall I would recommend stopping by if you're in the area!“

“Notch Brewery and Taproom in Salem is a must-visit for beer enthusiasts. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, perfect for hanging out with friends enjoying beers and playing games. The brewery offers mostly Czech and German style craft beers, each brewed with care and attention to detail. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, always willing to recommend a new brew or answer any questions. Plus, the spacious taproom provides ample seating, making it easy to find a spot even during busy times. Unfortunately the weather did not allow us to enjoy the outdoor seating. Keep in mind that they do not sell beer flights. Overall, Notch Brewery and Taproom is a fantastic spot to unwind and enjoy some great beer in Salem.“

“THEE best!! We stopped by after our visit to the Witch Museum and this gem is located across the street. We tried the Milky Way cookie with vanilla soft serve. FRICKIN delicious, the cookie was baked to perfection, warm and paired nicely with the ice cream. We also got the Carrot Cake, also FRICKIN delicious and baked to perfection. The center was filled with a nice dollop of vanilla frosting and tasted just like a slice of carrot cake. We devoured them and unfortunately didn't snap a photo. “Large selection of excellent beer. The linebrook lager, gran paradiso Italian pilsner, cerveza Mexican lager, and willowdale apa were all delicious. I'd come back for sure to drink the same or try new offerings. They are dog friendly on their patio which is uncovered so bring sun screen.“

“This place has delicious seafood. Here you order your meal at a window inside of the restaurant and then wait in the dining area until you are called to return to the window and pick up your food. There is plenty of seating in the dining room and I found it to be very clean. The order taker at the window seemed pleasant and helpful. You can order a mini meal that comes with one side dish or you can order a larger plate that is served with two side dishes. I opted for the mini meal and I got the fried scallops with french fries as my side dish. The scallops were delicious and the fries were very good as well. If you come here but want something other than seafood they do offer other items such as chicken sandwiches, hamburgers and chicken fingers. If you are a seafood lover though, I would definitely order some seafood here. You won't be disappointed. This is an excellent dining destination and I would certainly like to go back.“

“The ciders at far from the tree cider house in Salem, Massachusetts were so delicious and refreshing! We had so much fun here enjoying each others company and enjoying a variety of unique and yummy hard apple ciders! We tried the "pocus flight" which of course was named after the Sanderson sisters and binx! Let me tell you this flight was completely on brand and the best hard ciders I have ever had! Our second flight was also incredible and unforgettable! The second flight of ciders included cherry bomb, candy apple, macachusetts, and nova. “I had my sons first birthday party at Granite Coast over the weekend. Amy was so responsive, helpful, and easy going to work with! We even had donuts made to order and got delicious food from That’s Amore. Our one-a-saurus dinosaur theme was a hit but the hospitality and smiling faces from the Granite Coast staff made this party spectacular! I can’t wait to have another party here in the future. Oh and the delicious beer was the added bonus and the icing on the birthday cake!“

“This was a close walk from our accommodation and it did not disappoint.My mom and I were immediately greeted and given some time to choose what we wanted for coffee and food.I got a fall special that was better than any pumpkin spice drink from Starbucks or Dunkin and avocado toast. My mom got an iced Americano and a bacon, egg and cheese on a croissant.Our food and drinks were exceptional!The atmosphere was laid back and relaxed with music that is not loud. The bartender was super nice and helpful when I couldn't decide. They also explained that the food and drinks are separate. After I ordered a beer I ordered some food at the next counter. I went with the Double IPA which was pretty good. For food we got skewers and the spring rolls. Both were so good!I'd come again whenever I'm in Salem.“

“Our family’s favorite ice cream shop in Salem! This place is cozy and comfortable, and the owner is incredibly friendly and welcoming. We stop in here multiple times each trip and always love the treats and conversation. Can’t recommend this place enough!“

“Good food, but a weird thing: I asked for a second packet of honey, and the person at the cash register said it would be $2.50. I was shocked and obviously couldn’t pay that. The biscuits weren’t as enjoyable without enough honey, so that wasn’t great.It was clean, and well-kept, but no where to sit except a few bar stools. It definitely seems unwelcoming to dine-in visitors. Sitting in bar stools is not accessible for many people. For example, it makes dining-in not wheelchair accessible, it’s hard on many of the elderly, and for many of those with physical disabilities.“

The truth is we couldn't finish all the food we got, though not for lack of trying! The portions were so generous, we could have split an entrée and still been stuffed. Chowder was perfectly solid, just a really good, authentic New England clam chowder. The lobster roll was just piled with fresh, tender, juicy lobster meat. It didn't really hold up as a sandwich you could pick up, but that barely matters. The fish and chips was crisp and fresh. And actually the onion rings were a surprising highlight of the meal. They were fresh, you could tell they are cut and battered on-site, and you can tell they do a great job of changing out their fry-oil because they didn't have any of that fishy smell/taste that sometimes happens with places that are frying a lot of fish and other items. Overall the meal was 10/10 for value and quality.“

“My friends and I are all regulars at LBs and have been since before the move. Longboards is much more than an excellent bar to us. I've never had a bad dish here, although the new extra large wings and the ricotta sausage flatbread is always top of mind when we get the menu. They have all our favorite beers behind the bar for a fair price and we love trying out all the cocktails too. More importantly this is where we go to watch a game, celebrate new jobs, party on holidays, and I'll even have my bridal shower here in April. The bartenders are friends to us and this place is like the Central Perk or Cheers of Salem. I go here with my friends, on date nights, and I am even known to go alone for some good food and company. “Located about 5 mins away from Beverly's Cummings Center. This place is a small slice of blizzard Heaven. Can get a little busy as it a small waiting area but there is benches to sit outside and enjoy the ice cream. They do serve up hotdogs. And variety of blizzard flavors or soft serve.“

The food was really yummy, I'll come back just for the scallion pancakes but I enjoyed the bao, the sushi, and the fried pickles! We liked everything we ordered, and we came hungry.
