“Joe’s Diner is hands down the best spot for breakfast in The Berkshires. Awesome prices and the quality of the food is unbeatable. Scrambled eggs were cooked to perfection, bacon was crisp, and the shredded hash browns were amazing. The over-easy eggs were done just right, the pancake was the perfect size and fluffy. A great classic American diner, which we love. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. We'll stop by every time we’re in town.
NOTE: they only accept cash but have an ATM on site.“

“If you want to eat a very good brunch you should come to Roses restaurant, it is clean, nice and the staff are very friendly and also they are bilingual . The food was delicious and you can feel a mix of good flavors at the same time you see the effort and time that the chef put in each plate. This restaurant has a multicultural menu which is very good for the family. I love it and I will come back again.“

“The Race Brook is magical. The rooms are comfortable, the food is great, and the grounds are beautiful. We stayed for the weekend for a nearby wedding with our two little kids, and they had so much fun playing on the swings and in the playhouse. I hope to return soon.“
“We enjoyed our stay at the historic Red Lion Inn. The Inn did not disappoint in the area of ambiance, and quaintness. The Inn holds a beautiful, and elegant state of appearance in every regard. We found the suite to be accommodating and more than abundant for our needs. The comfort of the room and bed were top tier. We have zero complaints about that.
Our main issue was that lack of assistance w/ our dining reservations. Ed, the gentleman that checked us in seemed to matter of factly brush off any attempt to find us reservations for the restaurant and mentioned they were already “fully committed.” We’ve never stayed in this town and had no clue that there’s only one restaurant. In their defense, they recommend reservations in their pre-trip email. So, I’ll take the credit on that side of it.
However, we were forced to drive 10-15 mins to Lee, to dine elsewhere. We stayed at the Inn with the intention of “staying” at the Inn. That lack of accommodation felt haughty, and not something we are interested in engaging.
Second issue was related to parking and luggage. For those who opt to stay here, you’re likely going to be dragging your luggage a football fields length through mud, unless you want to block traffic/cars. The restaurant shares parking w/ the Inn guests so it’s first come, first served. Unfortunately, we came in at dinner time and that was rough. One wide open lot says “Guests Towed”, so I would avoid that section.“

“Reserved a table of six for a birthday celebration. Staff invited us to the table, we ordered drinks and appetizers to share. Every plate was great, all local produce, well presented and delicious. Steak tartare was exceptional. Mains were all very good, the burgers, the chicken under brick, the hake dish really delicious as was the tagliatelle with spicy sausage. Will definitely recommend this place. Keep up the great work!“
