“We had a wonderful time at Barrell Z House this past Saturday. Our bartender, dressed in Germany garb for Oktoberfest, was so friendly and helpful. We had our little dog Ella with us and was made to feel welcome. Our bartender even brought us a fresh bowl of water for her. We got some delicious sirloin sliders for us and doggie biscuits with PB for Ella from the food truck. My husband and I enjoyed the IPA. We tasted two different types, one more fruity and aroma, the other more hoppy. We’re hop heads and both agreed that the more hoppy one was our fav! It was a building then, a bar/restaurant of sorts, but now it is someplace special. Since Lori and Jayson, who also own the "Fork in the Road" delicatessen in Bryantville and the Olde Hitching Post restaurant in Hanson, took over the restaurant and renamed it, it is now a place for excellent food, beverages, and a wonderful, wonderful group of people, their patrons. What makes Somewhere Else truly special is that on almost every night, Jayson, Lori, or Lori's sister, Lee Ann, will be there taking care of their customers..... their friends. This past Sunday, was Lori's birthday and EVERYONE was included to celebrate her birthday, Chinese food (seemingly Lori's favorite), cake and ice cream shared with all.
