“Tonight was my first time trying J's and let me tell you it will ABSOLUTELY not be the last. I have grown up in the cape cod/ southern MA area my whole life and I felt like I had tried most of the good bar style pizza places and somehow this one slipped through the cracks.We ordered 7 pizzas for a large group and everything came out PERFECTLY cooked. It didn't matter if the pizza had a bunch of toppings (gold fever chicken, pineapple, and bacon) or simply cheese, the crust was crispy, buttery and delicious, the cheese was perfectly browned and all of the ingredients were clearly high quality. We were nervous that all of the toppings on some may make it difficult to eat but each piece held its own and the ratios of everything were spot on!Not only was everything delicious but the prices are reasonable, the service was immaculate and everything about J's Flying Pizza has me wanting to come back for more. “When I placed my first food order, I found that the food was generally good. The crab rangoon is excellent. With just two shrimp for the sum I paid, I was a little let down by the pineapple rice. I wasn't able to savor the beef ribs as much as I would have liked because they were undercooked. Without any hesitation, I'll give them a second attempt at other dishes.“

“We had heard the great reputation of this restaurant so we finally tried it, after our go-to Chinese restaurant in Brockton went down hill. We did take-out and got Pad Thai and Tofu Curry. Both were incredible and we will be back to get these items again and try new things also, as the menu is extensive and delicious-sounding. Servings were perfectly sized, everything was super fresh and the flavors were memorable. I actually can't wait to get the Tofu Curry again and my spouse said the Pad Thai was the best we've gotten in the area. “I tried the Venus Cafe for the first time today for takeout. I ordered a green pepper onion and mushroom pizza. I got there early and got it as soon as he popped it into the box, so there was no time for it to steam in the box. I usually have my dog with me, so that's why I get take-out a lot. A little bit of flop at the beginning due to it being piping hot and loaded with toppings. Tasted great, and the price was good. This place is one of the goats of this style of pizza, ssbp. The only complaint is that they use sliced toppings, not chopped. And that's just a personal preference due to years of thinking I took a clean bite of pizza, and then a chunk of blistering topping comes with it and tags me on the chin. Lol. I went to the takeout side and dealt directly with the cook, and he was very nice. I have no clue about the bar area, but friendly kitchen staff speaks volumes for a place. I'm slowly trying all the places that do this style of pizza in the area, and this one did not disappoint.“

The host welcomed us and was able to hold great conversation while walking us to our table (he gave us a few great laughs). “The food is good. I've been here twice so far. It's a little small and the last time we were there they were having a private party in the restaurant. So it was very crowded. They are kid friendly, but I dont recommend taking children under the age of 4. It's too crowded and they don't have a changing table in the bathroom which was difficult when I had to change my daughter. I got the chicken saltimboca, which I thought was very good. My fiance got the special which was vinegar peppers pork chop. The pork was undercooked and they give you 2 slices of peppers. They would have cooked it more but it was so busy he didn't ask so he didn't eat it. If he had sent it back to be cooked more he would have enjoyed it. The waitress was so nice! They have a lot of patience! This place is perfect for a couple or a group of adults but I would leave the little ones at home (with a babysitter, obviously). The only downside is the parking. They do have a very small lot but again, when they're busy, it's hard to find parking. Even street parking.Kid-friendliness: Like I mentioned in my review. They do accommodate kids. But there is no changing station in the bathrooms and it's very crowded. You're close to the tables around you, which makes it hard to get through the restaurant carrying a toddler and a diaper bag without accidentally bumping someone.“

“For a suburban area to serve decent Japanese food is rare. They do a lot of take out orders and they get busy on the weekends. They have good tasting sashimi, sushi, and hand rolls. I would avoid the rice bowls such as chicken or beef. Rolls were fresh and the waitress was friendly and honest. Parking can be located on the street or in the back for complimentary parking.“

The nova salmon was the best ever. Enjoyed the music and would come back for that. “My mother in law had a ratatouille style transcendent experience with the tom khar gal soup. Everyone else at the table similarly agreed their food was top tier, excellent. Service was attentive and prompt, and the dining area was beautiful and small enough to feel pretty intimate too. Only knocking off one star because one of the seasonal drink specials was a pumpkin spice chai tea which turned out to be just a Stash brand tea bag that you can buy at the grocery store, nothing special or added. That was disappointing but everything else was fantastic and I will definitely go back.“

There has been times I have to order 5 pizzas because one is getting eaten before I even make it back to Hanson from scituate, now I have family that will claim that “the marsh” in Marshfeild makes a better wood fired pie, but i would have too respectively decline that assumption, as the marsh taste good, but it’s no where near CP quality pie, just isn’t, it’s facts ? . “I have heard people at my workplace talk about how this place is political and they don't feel welcome with the Blue Lives Matter flag, but I have never seen any of the staff be nasty here and for me I don't judge by what others say I judge it by my own experience with the food, service, and the atmosphere.
