When you walk into a pizza joint and the owner/operator is pulling a pie with flour covering her Levi's and chef clogs...well, ur on to something. Carol, I think her name is, has the audacity to call out Pepe's in New Haven. She kills it. The clam pie is ridiculous. I'm so honored to live close by. Don't miss this one. She's special.“

We had two pasta mains that were very well made, al dente pasta, flavorful sauce. Very cozy on a chilly night. “Costa is a young, energetic business professional who puts out a great product and delivers great customer service. The ice cream is the best around and they serve up generous portions. Matt (I think his name is) made a triple scoop ice cream cone that looked like a work of art, huge scoops, perfectly rounded and placed on top of one another. “Just don’t get take out! So we really like the Nun, but the last few take out orders have gone so south. A few months ago a when I arrived to P/u our order I was told a Door Dash guy grabbed/was given our food. He brought it back, but not before a couple items were turned upside down in the bag and definitely colder than when they left the restaurant. The manager was supposed to take care of us a few days later when he was as in but we got crickets instead. We decided to give it another try for take out tonight. (When we go in the much is more often then other places, it’s great.) My daughter’s well done burger was medium at best (1st pic), my wife’s MW was MR and my boys MR (2nd pic)were not cooked. These issues only arise when we take out. When we go in, things are great. I guess it’s insanity because we keep returning and expecting different results. No more take out for us… and hopefully for you. However, we will continue going in.“

I ordered a burrito for my children forgetting 1 does not enjoy tomato’s. I came back in to order something more simple and the lovely employee gave me scrambled eggs and bacon in a to go bowl, complimentary. She didn’t have to do that. It was my error. So much appreciated. The food is fresh with flavor, and that’s hard to come by when ordering “quick” bites. Cheers“
