“One of the only places near Boston that serve authentic FJ (Fuzhounese) food. Service is slow as there’s one boss lady doing everything from cooking to cleaning so don’t come in expecting too much and be patient. My favorites here are the peanut noodles (ban mian), stir fry rice cakes (nian gao), and the wonton soup (bian rou). CASH ONLY so bring change.

“This hole in the wall is not pretty Inside,but they do have Cantonese/Hong Kong Style food. They are Cash only. We got the curry sauce pork on spaghetti and Beef stew & wonton soup. The service was decent. Don't have have expectations for service at any Asian places. Our food came fast, but getting our bill took time. They got pretty busy. The wontons tasted homemade and the broth was very rich in flavor. The curry sauce was thick and tasty. The pork was perfectly cooked. Overall, a good experience“

Well, last night they proved themselves lol! I ordered house fried rice and bone in spare ribs. Not only did they serve me with a smile and seem happy to be there still, I’m sure it had been a long day..the food was piping hot and so fresh! I was definitely expecting less ten minutes prior to closing! The rice had a little of everything and was so good! The pork pieces weren’t all fatty trimmings like most places. This was actual chunks of pork with very little to no fat. Little shrimps and chicken…so so good. I couldn’t stop eating it. The ribs were cooked to perfection, meaty, and so tasty I was licking my fingers and the bones haha! Best ribs I’ve had anywhere! The price was good too! I will definitely be back!“

The fried food was NOT dripping with greese like some other places. The food was delicious and not over salted like some other places. I noticed they had some bad reviews and I had to come tell you to ignore them. One 3 star was from some crazy lady mad because they forgot to put spicy mustard in the bag. “A small fresh authentic rice roll restaurant making Chinese rice noodle rolls. You can see them making the batter for the rice noodles. That’s how fresh it is. They have shareable congee, soup dumplings and rice roll dishes. They have a kiosk at the door to order your food and they bring it out to you. Not much service to comment on but they are nice and the food is good.“

“The Grapefruit Salty Cream over Grape Green Tea ($7.25) was good and refreshing, though I am not sure if they use fruit juice or fresh fruits. The cream on top also just looked like whipped cream when I opened the cap, but it tasted fine.

I feel like I got coaxed into paying with cash because it was empty. I didn’t see any signs indoors or in the reviews about the supposed $10 minimum as there usually are. Thankfully, I had cash on me, but a heads up for anyone ordering inside.“

Five of us arrived from out of town and walked in to see the four person table occupied and one person at one of the two person tables (yep, three tables total). The proprietor moved the two folks at the four person table to the two person table (they were regulars and happy to move) and grabbed the spare chair and suddenly the place was at full occupancy!

The menu is expansive and required a bit of explanation for our group to pick a meal, but absolutely everything was great. The winners were a dish consisting of well fried chicken and noodles and the orange chicken (my choice). Everyone at the table said the chicken was perfectly cooked and the flavor and spice were just right. The portions were generous, but alas I had no leftovers to take home.

It seemed like 50 takeout orders went out while we were there. Obviously the locals love the food.“

“Wealth Seafood Restaurant is one of those hidden gems. Not fancy at all. Probably a dozen tables, a few large tables with lazy Susans that allow you to rotate your food and eat traditional Chinese style. Mostly Chinese patrons while I was there. As a non-Asian I felt very welcome. I was with a group that runs a Chinese/Sushi restaurant to celebrate the August Moon. The food was absolutely amazing! We had lobster, crabs, whole sea bass, quahogs, clams in spicy black bean sauce, jelly fish, duck feet, fried pig intestines, salt and pepper fried pork cutlets, salt and pepper fried calamari, salt and pepper fried shrimp, sizzling pig intestines, loofah with Lilly buds and wood-ear mushrooms and seafood soup. I ate some of everything and it was all delicious! I can't wait to go back!! They also stay open late!
Edit: Went back last night and had another amazing meal! A lot of the same I had last time. The new items I had was a 10lb king crab, crab lover mein, huge oysters, geo duck, squab, frog and soy sauce chicken! Everything was amazing!!“

“South Garden is a Chinese restaurant located right outside the heart of Quincy Center serving traditional South Chinese and Cantonese dishes for lunch and dinner.

The staff are friendly, definitely helps to know Cantonese but they can communicate well in English as well.

As for the food, its alright. The quality is pretty much the same as other restaurants, though the beef satay chow fun wasn't as good as other places i've tried. Very good spot to get traditional Cantonese dishes like fried squid or fried porkchops for a reasonable price and reasonable quality.“
