“Having dined at Basil Restaurant last night, I must say the ambiance was top-notch. The dim lighting and cozy seating made for a pleasant atmosphere. However, the service was a bit slow, as it took quite some time for our food to arrive. Nonetheless, when the dishes finally made their way to our table, they were delicious. I particularly enjoyed the basil-infused pasta, which was bursting with flavor. The prices were reasonable considering the quality of the food, but I do wish the portions were a tad larger. Overall, Basil Restaurant offers a decent dining experience with room for improvement in service efficiency.“

“I've been going to Gene's since I was about 11, so 1981!!!! Of course, back then, it was for candy and soda, lol!! As I got older, I realized what a hidden gem it truly is! They have great subs and pretty much anything Italian. Not just the deli but stocked on the shelves as well. I don't make sauce because theirs is so good. Makes my life easier to boot! Thank you Gene's. Everyone who works there is very nice and wicked happy to help. Every time I go in, it brings back memories of walking to the pool and stopping at Gene's on our way there. “There are subs and then there are Lola's subs, second to none in my opinion. Always completely stuffed, you can always get two meals out of one, unless you're me of course. Their freezer section is always stocked with such great stuff to take home too. I have to say though, the real star here though is the standing they make, to die for!“

“Quaint , clean atmosphere, with small pleasant bar area.No skimping on the liquor in cocktails here . Our waitress Shayna was pleasant, explained all the specials and attentive without hovering. My wife ordered first , a piece of fillet with potato purée and a red wine Demi glaze. My turn, panicked as I had 4 meals in my head that all sounded excellent but went with the classic veal Parmesan with homemade Rigatoni that is a huge upgrade from dry pasta . Veal was so tender , no knife required with well seasoned breading . The fillet was also tender, and well seasoned, she gave me 1 little bite? . If Tuscan onion soup is available when you visit here , GET IT !!! . Fantastic Italian take on French onion soup that was 10 time better. I rarely write reviews but this was a great meal . “Delicious food! So many good choices it was hard to decide. "Fire and Ice" with chicken, shrimp carbonara, chicken calabria were all yummy. Delicious infused vodka and some "unusual suspects" for beers. Food and drinks came quickly and food was steaming hot. Would definitely come again. Bartenders are friendly, efficient, and the drinks are well made. The people are generally friendly and you can often find yourself chatting with someone you never met before. But the food is why we go here. It's common to eventually run into a dish that you don't like...but it's yet to happen here. Seafood fra diavlo, gigantic portions, just spicy enough. Excellent pizzas, tasty sandwiches, delicious appetizers...it's all good. Erica (yup, the restaurant name actually means something here) often makes specialty desserts. If you are offered one...get it!“

“One of my favorite Italian spots. Not only is the food good but the ambience service and music is a night to remember. But pace yourself because you get a lot of food and every table gets a variety of bread, cheese salami and cauliflower that's all pretty tasty and worth trying if you aren't a fan. I love the Mario's meatballs and the lasagna is the best, even though they are famously known for the spicy rigatoni, oh and I can't leave out the veal Parmesan.“

“It's the only Italian place in medway and its holding their own, it's a quick little place to eat if you live on the west side of Medway and even if you don't it's still a great place to eat. I'd rate the food 8.5/10 it's not the best thing I've ever had but it's still really good and they get the food ready very quickly.“

I can wholeheartedly recommend the fried haddock with extra crispy fries or the grilled steak and chicken combo with crispy fries plus a side of their tasty rice! I live down the street! So I called and ordered my food, she didn't say anything about it. I just paid under 20.Their food is really GOOD.
