“I’ve been regularly coming to this restaurant for the last 12 years or so. Brunch (not a buffet) on Sundays with friends is my favorite time. Also evening dinner with friends and my husband is always nice. Food, drinks and dessert are very good. Love the cozy Colonial atmosphere and historic aspect of the building. Staff is pleasant and helpful even when very busy. Sometimes there’s a piano player and also went for a blues night during the week in November. Such a treat!\nMy parents used to come here in the 70s, but the food is better now.“

If you want better food, go to Oscar’s. But if you want somewhere you can enjoy a beer outside while your kids play games (corn hole, ping pong, shuffle board) with decent vegetarian options, then you’ve come to the right place.“

“We were in search of an upscale pub and chose The Horseshoe Pub won out over our second choice (O'Connors), mainly because it featured 80 beer taps... EIGHTY! \nWe opened our meal, of course, with pints (a wheaty Weis beir for me to followed by a mundane but always tasty Guiness). The for of us shared apps of rueben egg rolls and German pretzels. Two of us ordered the Shepard pie which was tasty but noticably short of the requisite vegetables. One of us enjoyed a very well prepared plate of short ribs over mashed potatoes and fresh steamed veggies. Dark gravy to taste. Rave review for the fall-off -the-bone short ribs. Passed on dessert. \nA very pleasant experience with great service, ample parking, a wide wide variety of food, clean rooms and tables with plenty of space at each and a killer bar separate from the dining spaces. Reasonable value for fare on offer. \nOne caveat with of mention. Three of the four of us ate the rueben egg rolls and had upset stomachs afterwards. They were delicious but disagreed with our normally caste iron tummies. Don't know if it was the egg rolls or the sauce that they came with but they were the only dish we three shared in common. \nThis restaurant worth a visit and especially appropriate for groups of friends looking for a nice night out. \nNot specifically an Irish pub but Slante' anyway!“

“We usually sit at the bar and get immediate service. The bartender last night even remember us from a few months ago. She remembered what we drank. My sister ordered the same as last time and I ordered a slightly dirty Tito’s martini with a special request for bleu cheese stuffed olives. They were perfection! We both ordered the ahi tuna with avocado and jasmine rice. Omg it was to die for. I can’t wait to go back and order it again. “ok, so I'm not sure what happened tonight, but a far different experience from a few weeks ago. Then Iwas impressed with service, food, cocktails. the whole experience was just wonderful last time. after that girls night out, I raved to hubby "we got go there!" I work in Leominster, but live 45 mins away, so we usually dine out more local to home. Tonight started with an espresso martini...well, they've decided to top it with a cold foam type of topping. so the whole top have inch of the glass is foam, not beverage. martinis are expensive, a martini should be brim full, disappointed and felt cheated for the price. I ordered their boneless "jumbo chicken wings". turned out to be 6 little chunks of chicken, not much bigger than mcnuggets, and they were way over cooked to the point they were rock hard. I had to discreetly remove some from my mouth because they were beyond rock-hard. a dining companion in the group had the same experience with hers.the sauces I chose to accompany were tasty, but they didn't do much to help the chicken. the female bartender was great, attentive, and happy. wish I could rave, but not this time sadly.will try again because I don't think this was normal“

Locals (and yes, I’m using the word just to mirror how Americans affectionately refer to the rest of the world’s population in their native places) probably don’t need an introduction to this chain. But for anyone unfamiliar, think of it as a Chili’s with a bit more dining space beyond the bar or an Outback without the grilled steaks.

The food is solid, with comforting options that cater to hearty appetites. I was curious about what sets 99 apart from similar chains like Applebee’s, and the answer I got was simple: “They think they’re better and charge more.” While neither is glaringly obvious, the menu does offer a few standout dishes, like the Shepherd’s Pie - a refreshing option compared to the usual burgers and fried food lineup.

Next time, I’ll try sitting at the bar - it looks like the kind of spot where this place really shines. For a casual, satisfying meal, 99 in Hudson is worth a visit.“

“I took my bestie here tonight and had the ABSOLUTE best time!!! The food was amazing (we both use the gluten free menu!!!) the atmosphere was so wonderful and the service was just so beyond!!! Amara was truly one of the BEST servers I’ve ever had-so very kind and attentive and helpful with making everything so perfect and then I believe her name was Camille-came to let us stay longer allowing our wonderful Amara to go home-something I thought was just so very thoughtful & kind-our family has been in the food industry for years and these ladies along with the manager were among the very best I’ve ever had the pleasure of being served by!!! 100% will be back and I give this my highest recommendation!!!“

I got the 2 Way Combo with fried clams and haddock. It was Outstanding!! Usually with fried food at other places I take two bites and I’m done….Nope not today!! The Food, the Service and the atmosphere was PERFECT!! I mean when the owner says can I get you an extra tartar sauce for the table and he brings the whole bottle?? “I want to make some suggestions rather than saying I do or don’t recommend this place. I’m familiar with Pepper’s, and I like to support hard-working chefs, especially when they use local farms and vendors. The overall concept of self-service is fine, but I preferred the table service of the old restaurant. It felt a little more closed in, and I also don’t like the paper plates, cups, and plastic utensils. Real utensils were available, though. The salad choices looked really healthy and colorful, and the menu was certainly varied enough. I saw a frittata being served and it was the size of a half piece of pie, though it looked good. My friends and I opted for soup and grilled cheese sandwiches, thinking they would be more like upscale comfort food. Two of us had the bacon-tomato version, the other had the mushroom. Since they were pre-made, then popped in a convection oven, they were more like melted cheese on dry, light toast, versus the buttery, golden goodness that makes a grilled cheese what its name implies. The portion was small and the fillings meager. If the idea was to make it a healthier grilled cheese, even a drizzle of olive oil might help. The soup was luke-warm, but tasty enough. We shared a dessert bar, which was delicious, with black coffee, which didn’t taste fresh like it had ben sitting a while. Be forewarned that if you pay by credit card, an automatic 15 percent tip is added, though you have the option to change it up or down, if you happen to notice it. There wasn’t much service involved, and you clear your own table. My portion alone, which included the sandwich with chips, a cup of soup, dessert bar, and coffee, plus added tip came to just under twenty dollars. I would give it another shot, but there is room for improvement. We all agreed that the dining experience was at a grade of about C+. Wishing you success in the future... Hope this helps.“

“We brought three generations to Special Teas to fulfill my mother’s wish to have tea with her daughters and granddaughter. It was a lovely way to spend a fall afternoon. The service was fantastic and staff were very attentive. The variety in teas allowed everyone in our group the opportunity to experience unique tea flavors. The food and desserts were phenomenally delicious and traditional and paired well with the tea fare. Thank you for giving us a wonderful afternoon and a memory that will last a lifetime.“

“I only found 2 vegetarian options besides all the salads. Fajitas or tacos with no protein. But I want more protein. It would be easy for them to just have something frozen and microwave it. Like a burger. Service and food tasted good though.“

“Adam was not a great server. My husband ordered bottled water because that was what the waiter pushed ( I was in the restaurant room). Adam can't to the table with the unopened bottle of water and I said we don't want that. It's like $10 and then he blatantly proceeded to open the bottle in front of me and pointed to my husband and he said “ he ordered it”. Obviously since it was opened we had to pay for it. We were 4 people and we were there 1 hour and 35 minutes. It took him forever to take our order. He was slow and rude as far as I was concerned. I hope he enjoyed his $5 tip on $51 , in hindsight I should have given him $2 since the water was $8. We eat there a lot. We will not allow him to ever be our server again. I will be back , your food is good.“

“Thank you to Bolton Street Tavern who hosted the most beautiful celebration of life. The food was delicious and John and Sharon made sure that each and every guest there was taken care of. The setting was perfect with the beautiful lake in the background. And even the downpour of rain that passed by did not bother a soul as it was all covered. “Haven’t been to Applebees in awhile. Meh, may be awhile again. Service was ok, food was fair and the drinks are measured.

The server was almost attentive but was missing at times.
The app sampler had one good item, the Wontons. Riblets were over sauced, more sauce than riblets.
The drinks are made with a shot glass, lots of soda.
The experience was ok but not something Im going to be going back for anytime soon.“

“If you aren’t going for breakfast/ brunch here on the weekends, you’re doing yourself a disservice. I will make it a priority every time I’m within a hour of the Hudson area. Small and quaint, you can feel the love when you walk in. Everyone was super nice. Value for price is outstanding. Everything I watched come out of the open kitchen looked mouth watering. I had the #27 rancheros with steak/ beef with well seasoned and perfectly cooked home fries with peppers and onions. I also got a side of their fried plantains. Also absolutely delicious, I’d give it 10 stars if I could !“
