“Was in Boston only for 1 day (from UK) and made my way around the edge of the harbour to Sunny Girl in a Saturday Morning around 9am, people filled all the seats outside and a line of people inside means its gonna be good.

Not halal but veggie options available, I ordered the Artie Party with no meat and orange juice, all good. Lady behind the counter was nice and polite, said they can add/remove any of the ingredients they have.

Will come back again when in town.“

“A very nice restaurant serving breakfast all day. The chocolate is probably 2000 calories and will give you diabetes, but is also tasty ;) just don't expect you'll be able to eat if you drink it.

Eggs Benedict are only served with eggs sunny side up (not poached), and on a toast, which is a bit average, but overall it is a great experience.“

“My wife and I were in Wakefield to purchase car and when we were finished we realized we had not eaten all day. We found this gem of a diner. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. The food was outstanding. I started with the beef stew. it was excellent. It was not to salty, you could tell it was homemade the flavor brought me back to childhood. My wife started with the chicken and rice soup which she said was also fantastic, once again not to salty. I had the hot turkey sandwich with gravy. The gravy was outstanding. My wife had the teriyaki chicken stir-fry which was delicious. We needed the meal by brining home 6 raisin oatmeal cookies. I would highly recommend North Ave. Diner if you are in the area.“

“One of my favorite diner chain finally up in New England.

Loved the one near Durham back in my college days, not too fancy and hearty, but with just enough flair to feel like an elevated brunch. And honestly it’s a tier above all the diners I’ve been to in Mass. Everything is made to order without heat lamps or deep fryers and the menu rotates a few times a year, so some dishes have these hidden gem elements you wouldn’t expect from a chain.

The Godfather breakfast bowl was the kind of upgrade I’m talking about, basically sausage and grits in a breakfast bowl. But the main thing here was the chopped Calabrian chiles. It was chili oil with the chiles chopped down almost into a paste, with a good amount of heat but more importantly crazy umami, and between the salty chiles, the sausage and all that Parmesan it was ungodly good.

Their popular strawberry tres leches French toast was made with thick-cut challah bread. Challah has a tight crumb from all the eggs in the dough, so it came out slightly denser and grittier than a regular French toast. It also didn’t soak up as much custard, and even with dulce de leche, it didn’t taste overly sweet.

Only thing I’d be careful with is their iced coffee. I got their honey caramel crunch iced coffee for the first time, and it came out like a milkshake, but with insane amount of sugar.“

“Great Breakfast! Ordered the country omelet with home fries, Irish eggs benedict, and a blueberry pancake. Toast/potatoes/corned beef hash all could've been more well done in our opinion, but the pancake was AMAZING!! Big blueberries, very thick but cooked through and tender with crispy outside 😋 would come back for sure but would maybe just ask for it to be cooked longer for my liking“

Best grits with cheese and the sweetest southern ice tea available in the state..lol...the only downside is that it's located in a rough neighborhood that doesn't ever seem to improve but who cares when you're getting good food. You can dine in or get your food to go. Either way, it's all about the food and it's good. Their service is good for they are always busy zipping around taking orders and preparing orders. “The French onion soup here is heavenly! The soup is really rich and tasty, loaded with onions, and covered with melted cheese on top. Honestly, one bowl is never enough.
You also have to try their Monte Cristo French Toast—French Toast stuffed with cream cheese, sweet smoked ham, and Swiss cheese, and served with strawberry syrup. It's totally to die for, and just as good as the soup! The portion is huge, but the price is super affordable, so you really get your money's worth.
Besides, the owner and staff are lovely. Super friendly with great positive energy. If you're in Boston, you gotta try Thornton's restaurant before you leave. It's a true Boston local spot that's been open for over 49 years, where locals eat. Seriously, if you don't try this place, you haven't really experienced Boston!“

“This place is great. I am not a breakfast person so I go for lunch. Two great items are the burgers and the fried haddock sandwich with steak fries. Burger always cooked the way you like it. I like well done. Fried haddock is considered a special item but usually available. This is delicious if you like fried items. I am there every Saturday for lunch. Give this place a try.
