“A hidden gem that opened last year and now our weekly go-to for Japanese - sashimi, sushi, ramen and poke bowls. The staff is very friendly and the owner, Anna, makes you feel so at home. The sashimi/sushi are fresh, delicious and prepared beautifully. The cocktails are creative and well made - mai tais, pistachio martinis, you name it. The kids (and adults) enjoy various fruit teas/slushees with optional boba. They also offer Chinese and Thai food on the menu. Staples like beef teriyaki sticks, sichuan fried rice or tangerine beef are must haves and often added to our meals with lots of leftovers to go home with. “My husband (who is vegan) and I were in the Boston/Cambridge area for work and selected Base Crave for our first meal out. We met two people from his job and noticed that the place was empty except for us and the staff. That worried me, but after eating, my only thought was “people need to eat here! They don’t know what they’re missing!” The 4 of us ordered vegetarian mo mo (omg - yum!), vegetable samosas, chicken tikka masala (I didn’t try it but was told it was good), Tofu Mushroom stir-fry chilies mild which was okay, probably because we got it mild, Plantain curry (my hubby says fabulous!), plain naan (very good), and the Mushroom Stir-fry Noodles, mild. My husband and I agreed that the best things on the table were the Mo mo and the stir-fry noodles, both had fabulous flavor! We definitely recommend this place and would love to eat there again!“

“I’m honestly glad that I waited to post my original review with a lower rating and thought through the experience a little bit more. As always, I find it a bit harder to review fusion spots. Not just any fusion either, but one that is all over the world map. It’s easy to just nitpick one dish and use it to judge everything else; but what about that is remotely fair?

For example, their Beef Rendang (a dish that I’m very familiar with - including the different regional renditions) is more like a hint towards what “real” Beef Rendang is. I don’t even need to speak on behalf of the Filipinos regarding their adobo (which I also grew up on) who are infamous to show up on public forums to criticize and say “that’s not how my grandmother makes it” (lol).

What did come to mind is the old quote that many often find negative but actually was meant to be a positive phrase (if the last part isn’t so often omitted). “Jack of all trades, master of none, though often times better than a master of one”.

That definitely applies here with their style of food. There’s a lot going on and a good portal to the true potential of each dish. Definitely give them a try! Portions are good and the food is definitely tasty!“

“Came here when I found out they had another spot - I usually frequent their tried and true Chinatown location. Food here is, dare I say, even better. Probably my favorite spot in the local area.

“DoorDash has a good two for one deal. I’ve tried another dish at a different location before and liked it. This time I got the Spicy Chicken Karahi ($11.85). It was indeed spicy. Some pieces of chicken were dry, and I would have liked more green beans, but the portion size was filling. It also came with some random crackers, but I liked them.“

“Delicious Sichuan style food. I really enjoyed the mala spicy whole fish and Chengdu fried chicken. Skip the fresh chicken with mala broth which had too many small bones to pick through as you chew. Quiet place to dine most evenings.

“Flavor, healthy-eating, price, and value - the best balance of all four. This place deserves 5 stars on every count. Hip places usually fumble on at least one of these areas, if not on all. This place serves excellent flavors in a wide variety in very decent portion sizes for a reasonable price. I can easily even make a salad-like concoction with lots of protein for the same price as something on the menu. Well done Bon Me! There are very few places like you around.“

Even single person get treated nicely, which is very good. However it is not friendly for vegetarians, due to the lack of clear indication in their food selection area (some of them might seem to be vegetarian while contain animal products) so be careful.“

“This restaurant is dope. The interior is warm and inviting. It’s modern and chic. Definitely an elevated hipster vibe. A chill spot to hang out after work or nice date night. The food is bomb! For apps, I’ve never had a Chinese-inspired arancini. These crispy delights are addicting with their crack sauce. The sauce is a must have on the arancini. The salad is light and refreshing. The Kokoda is a well made dish. I never had blue fin tuna until I came here. The combo with the fresh fish with the acidity from the lemon juice and smooth finish of coconut sauce - oof, worth a try. There’s also another surprise about the Kokoda - there’s something called sea grapes 🍇 and were bursting of flavor and freshness. A nice addition to the dish. I could go for seconds with the Kokoda because it’s a bit small for me. I wish they made it 2x bigger so it could be more shareable with a date or with company. The Maine Uni was surprisingly delicious 😋. I honestly thought it was too expensive but after having it, it was an amazing amuse bouche (the perfect bite). I couldn’t believe that small bite packed so much flavor and complexity. It was balanced and left me feeling happy. Totally worth it. For mains, the pork belly adobo melts in your mouth. So good! The mushroom raviolis are my favorite out of this menu. The salted duck egg sauce is what makes this dish memorable. I would definitely eat this again. The bitter melon ratatouille is not my favorite because it wasn’t seasoned enough for me. It felt as though it was missing salt. The veggies were perfectly roasted though, but it didn’t quite smack like the other dishes. The ribeye is good, but not my favorite. I might be biased because I’ve had better at other places. For desserts, the pandan sorbet is tasty. I’m not a fan of the pandan taste. It’s definitely an acquired taste, but I enjoyed it because I love avocados and bananas and in ice cream form? No brainer. I wished they had a version without the pandan flavoring. I’m curious as to how it would taste then. The matcha cheesecake is surprisingly well-balanced. Not too matcha where it’s overbearing. The matcha is subtle while the richness of the cheesecake smacks just right and not overly sugary. The late night menu - I only tried the Chicharrón taco 🌮. The combo of crispy pork belly and the acidity from the lime is perf. Nothing else to say. Surprisingly really filling. I probably can’t have more than 2 of these tacos and I’m a pretty big guy. The drinks - I love the names and how they have a play on words. The blood orange and the banana espresso are my favorite. These drinks have enough booze and not too much where it’s offensive. Blood orange is enjoyable to drink and the banana espresso is complex with a chocolate finish. Their nice, clean cocktails. Service was awesome! The servers were friendly and quick. They regularly checked in with my wife and me. I don’t think I even had to do the awkward “please help us” lean at all. They were there when you needed them! Amazing 5 star service! You want a culinary experience. This place won’t disappoint.“

“Beautiful dining room. I ordered take out this evening using the Toast App. I mistakenly added a $500 tip instead of a $5 tip because the order went through too fast. I called and explained what happened. The manager called me right back and assured me that he would fix it before closing out. He was so kind, even though they were busy. The food was excellent and the waitress was so kind in packing one dish separately due to a peanut allergy. We will definitely be frequent flyers here.“

“I didn't have the best experience here recently. The samsa/samosa was chewy and the bread was a bit too thick, but still better than the ones at Jahunger. The dried beef noodles on the other hand were not the best I've had when I ordered takeout. They didn't taste fresh and they stuck together quite a bit, which made me feel like they were cooked earlier in the day.

I've had Ali's separately during an event that catered from their restaurant and found the food to be much better. I don't want to be too harsh given the mix of experiences, but I'd be willing to give them another shot.“

“While their soups aren’t the best, they always have a solid selection of food. I usually go with the VIP option as there is mor variety of meats available. However, their classic option is also a solid choice given their veggies, seafood, and fish ball options.

“This place caught me by surprise. I was hungry after doing some exercise in the nearby park. The first time I came I ordered a beef teriyaki. I was pleasantly surprised by the portions and the flavor of the sauce. This is my second time coming here and I got the chicken teriyaki with fried rice. The sheer amount of chicken you get is a great value. The chicken also has a wonderful sear on the outside, giving it extra flavor while remaining tender. The fried rice also has great texture and flavor with plenty of crispy bits mixed in. I am going to be coming here regularly from now on.“

“I've been visiting Krua Thai for a few years now and the taste is consistent and amazing. Run by a family , the food is delicious and the curries have just the right level of spiciness.

Their main business is takeout. It's a small restaurant (seats about 20) in a strip mall. There are only five spaces in front, but plenty of parking in the rear. The service is great and the hostess is amiable and attentive.

You just can't go wrong with this place. If you want thai food and live around Natick there is no better place than this. Period.“

When I ordered their crab rangoons, it arrived with massive decoration and I can instantly tell that they care a lot about their customers. Aside from that, it’s a very peaceful place with friendly staff at the front desk. I even tried their basil fried rice, hot and sour soup, and sesame chicken and it was UNBELIEVABLE. “Basho is an incredible restaurant. The black cod is the best I’ve had and I have been around the world twice. I love your soup. The miso ramen is incredible the right amount of tofu spice and noodle makes it so delectable anything that ails you it will cure. The shrimp fried rice had nearly a dozen large shrimp in it the taste was sublime and full of vegetable, completely disheveled for easy consumption.. the pork Gyoza was just a vine, and the sauce that came with it was not salty, but added just the right amount of zippy flavor. Their cocktails are amazing and go without saying that they’re inventive and delicious as well as refreshing and light……. As always, I would will return to Basho even after these five years, it is one of the best restaurants in the fenway, and it is a must visit.!!!!!“
