“I grew up on Berkshire mountain bakery and moved away in adulthood. I still stop whenever I’m in the area to stock up. Pizza crust and ciabatta is out of this world. Today I stopped in with my toddler who was kind of a mess around nap time. The staff was so kind. They gave him a brownie bite and he wouldn’t stop talking about the “brownie bite place”. I had a bite and it was so delicious.“

“We were traveling back roads home to upstate New York from Connecticut. I asked my daughter to find a café as I wanted a coffee. It was kismet as we landed at Roadside. We had a wonderful alfresco breakfast and are so captivated by the initiatives of Gould farm helping individuals with mental health issues. Truly the emerald of the Berkshires. I purchased all your lavender soap and a loaf of bread, exquisite.

“As a Door Dasher, I love Siam Square Thai Cuisine Great Barrington. Not only are they a lovely place to eat, but they treat their delivery drivers just as well as they do their diners. The gentleman who I believe owns the restaurant is always welcoming and the food is always prepared just on time and is very hot when their Door Dasher arrives, which makes for happy customers. When I used to have the $ to eat out it was one of my favorite places for lunch or dinner. It's very much worth it to go there regularly because there is always something tasty and different to try. Their mango dessert is so simple and so tasty if you have a sweet tooth, and there are many spicy and delicious plant-based options if you're health-conscious. And of course, their Pad Thai, a great introduction to their offerings, is amazing! Siam Square = just in general an awesome experience with people who make everyone feel welcome.🧡“

“Because I’m an Indian food snob , I didn’t want to chance an unfamiliar restaurant in a small town. I was actually in the mood for hot wings and a burger but we couldn’t get an Uber on a Friday night so we settled for the closet restaurant to our hotel and Aroma was just a few blocks away. \nWe ordered a few standard appetizers and we both knew that we had stumbled upon something really good. I had a lovely chicken madras and my girlfriend had an equally lovely lamb korma. We both tasted the freshness of the food and knew that it was made by either an Indian granny or a very skilled chef. They had a good beer selection and good service. So yeah I felt bad for pre judging the place because it was in a small town filled with tourists just like me. And maybe half of them too were only there because they couldn’t get an Uber either but the food proved me wrong. It ended up as being the perfect choice.“

“The "large" pizza is an enormous "party cut" pizza that weighs, like, 20 pounds. Only order it if you have an entire party or football team to feed. What I normally consider a "large" is what they call a "medium".

Parking: Medium sized parking lot around back. Maybe a dozen spaces?

“Wonderful dinner and experience at The Prairie Whale! Definitely recommend making a reservation because it’s very popular. It was a beautiful day and we sat outside and it was beautiful. They had a live band playing inside and the noise level was perfect outside. Our server, Isabelle, was fantastic! Super friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. Everything was super fresh, local, and tasted wonderful. We had 2 appetizer specials and the bolognese. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce was great. We’ll definitely be back!“

“On our way home from drone daughter off at camp we stopped in. I got the brisket and rib combo. My wife got the burger. We got a pretzel and Mediterranean snack. It was all delicious. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. I will go again.“

“LOVE this place. Vibe is strong and food is excellent, especially the crispy rice tuna. A favorite for all of us. First time we went, we sat inside. Absolutely lovely. Second time we had our dog, so we sat on the patio and that was great as well.“

“Imagine my delight when I found this gem during a visit to Great Barrington while touring the area. We had our senior dog with us and my husband and I needed a table outdoors to eat in the shade. Almost out of options, then we walked down a side street off Main Street and found STEAM Noodle Cafe among the few open restaurants on a Monday at the shared patio area. I LOVED the Northern Thai Curry Chicken bowl, accurately described as “flavorful but not spicy”. All I can say is YUMMY. I don’t “do” spicy and am often disappointed when i trust a restaurant to accurately describe a dish as not-spicy. This dish was gorgeous, colorful and I almost licked the bowl clean. While stepping back inside to praise the restaurant, another customer heard my rave review and also ordered that dish. Wish I lived closer, I’d be there often.“

“Our favorite new addition to Great Barrington! Everything we’ve tried is fabulous. We’ve had zucchini soup, mushroom and chicken veggie-all out of this world! And the sandwiches on delicious baguettes are so yummy-grilled chicken or smoked turkey (with roasted peaches and chutney) etc. The menu will change with the seasons as everything is locally sourced. They even make food to take home for dinner. Two thumbs up!“
