“We were in the area this week to visit family and ate at the Village Pancake House for three meals. Each one was perfect, the servers are friendly and efficient, and we left very happy!I got the same breakfast each day: scrambled eggs, bacon and blueberry pancakes. Each time I did not want the meal to end. The pancakes really are the best I have had in decades!“

“The bacon is crisp, ham steak large, coffee needs minimal sugar/milk, eggs fresh, service quick, servers happy, and an energetic place. Can’t wait for the signs of the pandemic to go away - the plexi glass holders. I’d come back for sure!“

“We hosted my daughter's bridal shower on February 3rd. My daughter told me that it was even better than she dreamed it could be! Dayna and her team were amazing! She helped the event go smoothly and allowed me to enjoy the event with my daughter! Food, service and atmosphere were fantastic. I would highly recommend Grove Rowley. Thank you Dayna!!!“

“This is a mainstay of the area, and has always had great food and friendly service. I had the occasion to visit recently for their well known Sunday brunch, and I was as satisfied as in my previous trips. The live Jazz music adds a lot to the warm ambiance of the place. I had extraordinary service from Marissa, who is very friendly and customer focused and made sure I had a good experience. The Crab Cake appetizer was just mouthwatering, and the Thai Chicken Lettuce wrap entree was every bit as flavorful and appetizing. Topping that off with the delicious Lemon Cello cake for dessert made the whole brunch a wonderful experience. Highly recommend this restaurant; worth a stop.“

“This place is special - from the minute we walked in with a welcoming feeling. The food is incredibly delicious and we learned the menu seasonal. Cocktails are yummy - table service knowledgeable and excellent. Nice cozy vibe. The owner must really care, because it shows in every detail. They even stopped by our table to ask how our dinner was and told us a bit about the chef - really nice touch! I highly recommend if you love great cuisine and attentive service - this is your place. Can't wait to go back -“

“Good but not great beef sandwich as compared to some other Northshore establishments. Beef was a little overcooked and not that warm. For a super, size was a little underwhelming. Bun was not toasted. Horseradish is among the best with a thick paste consistency.“

“Ordered the homemade Corned Beef Hash with eggs and home fries. Everything was delicious. My order was taken on a handheld device. I've been to a lot of diners and it's nice to see this one has embraced technology. The staff was friendly as well as the crowd. I'll be back.“

“Stay: 10/20/2023 - 10/26/2023 Room: SwedishWish I could review the whole town. We really enjoyed our time in Ipswich; some of the nicest and friendliest people we have ever met.We arrived at the Inn around lunch time and asked for suggestions for lunch; we tried them all during our stay and loved them all. Oh, and the breakfast at the Inn is great; we are missing walking downstairs to a great breakfast every morning.Love the location of the Inn. Basically, overlooks the town and everything is within walking distance. The Choate Bridge Pub and Brown Dog Restaurant are an easy walk straight down the hill from the Inn; we tried them both and enjoyed them both. I believe the Brown Dog was our favorite; ate there three time during the week and met some very nice people there. Also, the Ipswich Ale Brewery is worth a visit with good food and beer. While in town, if you want to try something different, check out the 1634 Meadery. Very cool.We really enjoyed our visit and hope to return some day; hopefully bring the grandkids next time. You will not be disappointed with the Ipswich Inn Bed and Breakfast.“

“The food is awesome! The service is friendly no matter how busy they get and they get very busy so make reservations well in advance (I would suggest a week). It's small so it's a bit loud for me but I might have sensory issues! They have tried to mitigate this with acoustic panels. It is well worth checking out.“
“Elizabeth has delicious vegetarian food with an excellent selection of salad, soups and main dishes. Her prices are very reasonable and the quality is always spot on. Her extensive experience shows from her bread to her cookies. Amesbury is lucky to have this wonderful opportunity for take out food, not fast food.“

“I just fed my family with a chopped Italian sub that literally changed the way I order sandwiches. Every bite was no only fresh but consistent...The only issue I have with subs is that all the fixings spill out each bite. Problem solved. If you haven't been to Oceanside, you haven't had a proper sub. Tell Mike I said "Hi"“

“We were very excited to try the Blue Marlin from reviews we’ve seen. I have to mention our initial reaction was a little sketchy when we first entered and encountered the hostess. She looked at my family (including me, my wife & 2 adult daughters) and asked… “What can I do for you?” with an unwelcoming look on her face we interpreted to mean What are you people doing here? If we weren’t celebrating my wife’s birthday I probably would have left. She brought us to our table, literally threw the menus on the table and said someone would be with us. THANKFULLY, our server came and was super friendly. Everything else went well. The food was pretty good and seemed fresh. We also enjoyed the atmosphere. The only other slight disappointment, though not a big thing, was I mentioned my wife’s birthday to our server but no special recognition was afforded her. Would probably like to return and try it again.Wheelchair accessibility: Felt that interior restaurant tables might be a little too close to allow for easy wheelchair access“

“This place is really intriguing. It's a half step above a dive bar that serves incredible dishes. They have pictures on the wall of the local high school basketball team from the 1960s until present day. This establishment is what the large chains try to be as a hometown bar.If I didn't see the reviews, I never would have trusted seafood from a place like this. However, I'm glad I read the reviews! The fried clams are fantastic as everyone else is saying, but why aren't the fried scallops getting any love? They are incredible! Sweet tasting and fresh and fried to perfection. Somehow, they are cheaper than clams. Fried chicken finger dinner was also fantastic. Broiled haddock was above average.“

“Our favorite steady spot for date night. Great cocktails (Coco marg! Great bourbon list!), amazing chicken sandwich, great steak tips, and the park fries are a 10/10. We always sit at a high top on the bar side or at the bar. Can’t recommend it enough.“

“We were driving forever in Newbury and Newburyport to find a decent breakfast place and for some reason our efforts were thwarted at every turn. We stumbled upon Marie's and it was the answer to our hungry prayers. They have an extensive breakfast and lunch menu, good coffee and very reasonable prices. Great, friendly service. I had a gigantic $3.50 pancake and it was perfection. Highly recommend!Parking: Huge lot with tons of spaces.“

“Not your typical beachside eatery. Menu includes middle eastern/lebanese dishes. I didn't expect To be eating a fattoush salad at the beach but it was on the menu and is one of my favorites! It was amazing! You could tell it was made with love The drinks were great also.“

“Quant breakfast and lunch spot. Food is done very well. I'd say the breakfast meals are the best around. Crispy flavorful home fries, awesome scrambles. The best part is they have so much room for seating there is never a wait. And food prep is quick. Believe me we've been to swankier places and we prefer Connie's Stage coach over them.“

“I stopped here with an old friend and my 1.5 year old daughter on Friday night. We basically had the place to ourselves due to it being Black Friday and we had such a nice experience. The staff were very friendly and didn’t seem bothered at all by my rather rambunctious daughter. I’m fact, they all seemed happy to have us there. I’m never disappointed by the food here but this past experience was particularly memorable. Thank you Lexi’s!“

“I was told about Ipswich House of Pizza several years back. Finally was able to make it there and try it!! I had a Steak Bomb he had a Roast Beef Sub and fries. The steak was so flavorful and the veggies and cooked salami added such a nice flavor. Silly me thinking I could handle a large! There is so much steak and the right amount of veggies and salami! The Fries are amazing and cooked to perfection!! Been back 2 more times!! Oh and the owner and people there are the nicest most genuine people! They treat you like family!! Highly recommend Ipswich House of Pizza. Lisa Boutin & Jon Birchmore“

“Delicious. Being a South Shore girl, heading to the North Shore has always been a no-go zone. Decided today to be a Rebel. We ordered the fish plate and the Down River Combo. Both plates were overflowing with fries, onion rings, and fresh seafood. We liked the crisp, crunchy batter. The flavors were all there as to be expected. Maybe a little heavy-handed on the salt, but I'm not a huge salt fan, so it could have just been my palate. If I were to play devils advocate, for me, the seafood was a tad overcooked. The fries scallops were a little too chewy, and there wasn't much moisture left in the fish. But I guess that is why you are supposed to squeeze a ton of lemon on it anyway. We loved the atmosphere as well as the staff. Everyone was very friendly, and the restaurant was sparkling clean, including the bathrooms. I thought the prices were fair for the quality of food we received. We will go back again one day and try some other items on the menu. It was great to finally try Woodmans as it has been a go-to fish restaurant since 1914.“

“Wonderful experience! I live out of town. Had eaten at the old location several years ago, and I loved the new spot. The decor is beautiful and relaxing, and we had a diner with a walker and it was very accessible for her. Our service was perfect. The food was incredible and hot. The manager checked in on us to make sure. Very great experience!“

“I had such a lovely lunch experience here with my wife and her grandparents. In the week between Christmas and New Year's there was a short wait for a table, only a few minutes. We were seated in a comfortable booth and treated to exceptional service by Heather, who kept our water and soda topped off throughout the meal and played along with Papa's many jokes. I wasn't sure what to expect when it came to the meal because the ambiance is very "sports bar," but felt more like a family restaurant that everyone could enjoy. The menu was surprisingly extensive and oh my, it was tasty. My broccoli cheddar soup was thick and not watery at all and the chicken caesar salad was massive and didn't skimp on the croutons and chicken. We had such a delightful and tasty lunch that I'm sure we will be back the next time we're in town to visit!“

“I visited PI Beachcoma with my family for the first time and wow was I impressed! My son is a musician so we planned to have dinner and listen to some blues. The blues band drew a big crowd and a surprise birthday party was happening simultaneously when we arrived. This made it impossible for us to sit for dinner as planned. Instead, we rolled with the plan change and enjoyed the mild November weather as the sun set sipping wine, eating the best clam chowder I've had in a million years! The atmosphere is fun, bright, and friendly so we hung out grooving to tunes while the staff took care of everyone who all seemed to be having a great time!Although not a local, I did not feel like an outsider, so you bet I'll be back during this, our first stay on the island!Oh, and how could I forget... as a self-proclaimed pizza diva I ordered a small cheese- I was thrilled with it's flavor, thin, crispy crust & we were left wishing we had ordered more! We'll be back- cheers to the staff, they were fabulous!“
