“We drive 45 minutes to & from to eat at the Clam Box. My husband grew up down the street and I worked in town for 15 years. Plus my parents would take me there as a kid. ALWAYS consistent! ALWAYS delicious. 10 out of 10! Worth the wait in line at peak season every time!“

“I have been here several times over the years. I love their fisherman's platter as it has a little of everything. I think my favorite is a toss up between the clams and the scallops. I love their tarter sauce and the plates come with fries or onion rings which are delicious themselves. Nothing better than to take a road on the back roads of Massachusetts and stop in for a plate. The portions are huge and now that I am getting older - I end up having to share. Side note - Woodmans was featured in the Adam Sandler film Grownups - released in 2010. There is also a small ice cream shop in the back which has some great flavors in case you're still hungry afterwards.“

“This restaurant has some of the kindest staff. They are always so great with my kids and just incredibly accommodating. The menu is vast with a seafood focus but plenty of options for anyone. Great drinks and obviously great location too. On the pricier side but I think the cost matches what you get for food and location. This is always a safe spot for us to bring guests!“

“Stopped at Essex Seafood, for the first time, yesterday. I can’t say enough good things about it! The building, inside and out, is immaculate! Once you get inside, the help is courteous and kind! And the food is so good! My wife and I, each got a special, and the portions were huge. Everything was delicious, and their onion rings are awesome. You cannot go wrong, stopping here!“

“They've got two of the best bartenders in New Hampshire, hands down. The vibe here is casual, friendly, and perfect for catching a game--there are TVs everywhere, so you won't miss a thing. The food is seriously impressive. The fish tacos are fantastic, and somehow they're offering a $9.99 lobster roll, which is hard to beat. Everything I've tried has been delicious. Drinks are just as good--$2 draft beers are always on special, which makes it even better. And yes--free popcorn! It's always a nice touch and makes the whole experience even more enjoyable. What really stands out, though, is the service. The staff checks in often without being overbearing, making sure you have everything you need. It genuinely feels like one of those places "where everybody knows your name." “totally not worth it the portions are not the same as they used to be the service stunk they gave me the wrong order and tried to say it was the same price when I went back I will never be back again and the quality of the food was gross my cat enjoyed the fish“

“We went yesterday for St. Patrick’s day. We had reservations for 30 people. They put us in our own sun room which was perfect! Asia was our server and she was outstanding! She was always right there to bring another drink or put in another appetizer. Thank you so much for an amazing day with family and friends! I will definitely be back. The chicken wings and steak and cheese egg rolls were delicious!!“

“Had a great meal today of good sized portions of steamed clams and a lovely hard shell 1.5 lb cooked perfectly and cut to allow me to remove the shell pieces without the usual nutcracker Iand pick. Everything 6was served hot and timely given we were a busload of senior citizens. 5 stars today!!“

“The best trifecta! Food, beverages, service. We always sit at the bar and they have such a nice line of beers on tap. The wine pour is solid and the cocktails appear to be the number one seller.
I’ve had several menu items, but always swing back to their Caesar with swordfish. The others are very good; salmon with vegetables, cod cheeks, steak & cheese, eggplant Parmesan, chicken wings, potato skins, deviled eggs pretty much everything was really good. Busy place during dinner hour, but we usually go early like 3:30-4pm and always get a seat at the bar.“

My major critique would be the breakfast potatoes served for breakfast and brunch for the amount of money you're charging you would be well. served to actually make them fresh (they currently seemed like something you would buy in bulk in a bag in Walmart and just throw on a pan in an oven no seasoning, clearly premade, store-bought, lowest quality-more like potato chunks, not even home fries) and including the bread assortment as part of the breakfast would also be a nice touch the fact that you have to pay for that now - when it used to be included - is just kind of ridiculous when the prices are much higher than anywhere in the area and I know we're paying for the view but like it's still silly! I will say your lunch salads are a wonderful deal!“
