“Hands down, the BEST smash beef burger everrrrr!!! I don’t think I’ll ever find a spot better than Burg & Shaw in the whole world. I tried their double beef burger. The beef was so so good, perfectly grilled, charred to perfection. The brioche buns with buttery taste, the right amount of burger sauce. Believe me if you are a real beef lover you won’t be needing any extra sauces! I’ll remember Boston for this eatery for sure. Burger was excellent, but the caveat was the cole slaw, NOT your store bought or KFC, this was truly a chef Michelin rated green/purple slaw with an incredible dressing. “First time at Cityside last night and it was great! The Nachos were so good I wish we had gotten a large, the buffalo wings had a nice crisp to them which made them amazing. For entrees I had the fish tacos which were good but not all that and my fiancé had the cheesesteaks which can’t be compared to cheesesteaks on the North shore but still good. The drinks were good but pretty pricey. My fiancé liked every drunk he got besides the Mai Tai. It was super nice being on the roof top which made the entire night 💕 I definitely would recommend.“

Nice soft roll ,steak NOT chopped to oblivious gravel like other shops. This spot IS the spot for a steak and cheese . I'm gonna go back and try all the ol standards again done right. Kudos. Can't wait to try a simple hit dog. Believe it or not, people screw that up . But according to the reviews I've seen, they're done just right. It's really nice to know that these non pretentecious simply good food places still do exist.“

“Went to downtown Boston for the afternoon and came here to grab lunch, ordered half meat and half veggie pizza. Pizza is made fresh, and is made in 10 minutes. Portions were heaping large, a large pizza fed 4 people well. Singular slices are MASSIVE, easily feeding a person. Pizza was delicious, the meat pizza is very savory and greasy, and the vegetable pizza is simply exquisite. The bell peppers and onions on the pizza are crunchy and flavorful. The drink selection is very wide and the chefs are very nice and friendly.“

“While at the feast this morning, staff were prepping their outdoor table when my elderly mom and I were being harassed by a stranger. Staff quickly ushered us inside despite them being closed to the public today, then offered us free coffee (which was great by the way!) and we waited safely there until the coast was totally clear. They were so kind to my mom and I and it showed me that they value everyone’s safety which is so important especially in food service. The service was great burger was fresh tasting, pickles and diced onions fresh the potato bun was delicious! The Cajun fries were crispy and well seasoned and had a lil kick! “We came here as a big group with children and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. We ordered the Killer Bee, Hot Mess, and Wicked Hot. Food portion was pretty big and had lots of chips. The only thing that was a little confusing at first was that they were hosting a private event, so I wasn’t sure where to order. If it’s your first time visiting, just go inside to place your order. “I have lived in the Boston-esque area for twelve years and have eaten so many good meals, but the fish tacos here are the only meal I needed to have before my upcoming move out west(ern MA). Cocktails are fun and creative, service is 13/10, the XL portions of fries that require to-go boxes are the only fries I’ve ever found to reheat well, and if you’re lucky, Steve will be tending bar. I love going at the slightly quieter times but I’ll never gatekeep the euphoria experienced by a meal here. Bonus perks: Max & Chelsea have the best senses of humor, the murals on the patio are always amazing, the beer and wine selection are vast (also the mocktails!), and the decor always feels like your favorite “I Spy” book.“

Put this place on my radar over a year ago. Dominican spots are incredibly rare in this part of town (or really anywhere near Downtown Boston). Fresh off a trip to the DR a few weeks back, I was craving a proper, heavy Dominican breakfast.

I walked in around 8 AM on a Saturday, and the hot bar was limited strictly to the usual stuff like chicharrón, fried salami, queso frito, and some wings. I was low-key hoping to load up a plate with rice, but apparently, that doesn't hit the line until 9:30 AM. Just grabbed a small plate with all the proteins stacked over a base of mangú (mashed green plantains).

Everything was decent, though naturally not as hitting the same tier as the plates I was just eating down in Santo Domingo. There are zero prices listed anywhere, which is always a bit of a gamble, but a fully loaded small plate was around $12–$13. Probably not a spot I’d go out of my way for on a regular basis, but solid if you just need a massive, good portion of Dominican comfort food.“

Delicious, well cooked, and well seasoned!!! I’m from the south and this is the FIRST place I have ever recommended for burgers. The decor is phenomenal!! The colors and pics on the wall.. you have to see it!! Everything from Sesame Street, Star Wars, to classic rockers are present on the walls!! The music is the perfect level!! You can talk and have as conversation, but still have background music. Something I have found is not always the case. The staff is unbelievable. I felt like I was a regular that had been going for years! The communication with ordering to hid the staff works senselessly together is an added bonus to this experience. Yes, experience.. when all your senses are activated.. a restaurant/bar isn’t just a place for food and drinks. It’s a place that comes to life.
