“500 Ocean is a beautiful property with some amazing amenities. It is in a great location, surrounded by ocean views, restaurants and very accessible to the T, literally right below the building. My husband and I had a great experience living here and had rarely any issues. The main issue we had at move-in was addressed and we were even offered a small gift for the inconvenience. I love the maintenance staff and they are always so pleasant and helpful. One of my favorite parts of living here was having an in-house fitness coach/ personal trainer- Cienna Jade! She is so amazing to work with and has really helped me along my fitness journey. It was so convenient having her come to the 500 Ocean gym, which is one of the best gyms I've seen in an apartment home. She conducts 1 on 1 sessions and will literally work with you on scheduling a time that's convenient for you as well as offering group or couple sessions! Overall, very pleasant experience!“

“I went there for a late lunch today. The stuffed clam dinner came with a large portion of fries, a tasting of coleslaw, cocktail sauce and a roll. To be honest, 1 stuffed clam and a few fries was MORE than filling! I took the rest home for dinner - it was delicious! It was relatively quiet when I was there, and it was hard to find waitstaff when I needed something she forgot (they were all congregated by the “seat yourself / cash only” sign). I would definitely go again and get the side order of stuffed clams next time.“

“I have been going to Grassfields for many years and have been very pleased. The past few times I have been there I ordered the broiled scallops and have been disappointed. The muscle on the scallops are not removed which are very tough to eat. Also I feel they are gritty. I am hoping that someone reads this and corrects the issue because Grassfields is a lovely place.“

“If this is the Fishermans Fleet that had a spot in Everett, and I’m pretty sure it is. I worked there back in the 80’s, and this is the next best thing to fresh off the boat, these guys know all the local fishermen and we supplied and sold more seafood than anywhere because it’s always fresh. “My 100% go-to for hot pot. Sauce bar, all-you-can-eat, huge menu, and great service. What else can I say? You’ll be eating within five minutes of sitting down. Also, don’t forget the to-go ice cream if you eat in! Ibasaw checks all the boxes when it comes to hot pot.“

As you can see Mikey himself packed them up beautifully and the handled the plane ride perfectly! My next post will let you know how they taste. Sylvia got a junior beef when she was there and said it was fantastic! So tender and flavorful.“

“We enjoyed the omakase dinner at Akame restaurant. The restaurant is ultra small, just 6 seats during each seating so there plenty of opportunities to chat with chef and watch him create our dinner. I enjoyed creative combinations of flavors and textures. I loved all the fish offering, however my favorite turned out to be the four gras served on crispy rice crispies topped with yuzu jam and chocolate. Heavenly!
The restaurant is hidden away in an alley off Mass ave. We parked right in front of it, but did not see it, because the only sign is a black writing on the door which we could not see due to reflections. For reference, it is next to Fruitee Yogurt, which has bright signage.“

“My husband and I had reservations for 5:45 on NYE. It was incredibly busy in a “mostly controlled chaos” restaurant way. We were greeted warmly by the hostesses and told it might be a few extra minutes. We were seated 5 minutes later. Within minutes of sitting down we had bread, butter and drinks. V, our server, was spectacular. Truly. As someone who worked restaurants for years she's an MVP. She was given a 4 and 3 tables of 2 all at once. Usually it works- unless you're transferring tabs from the bar and have 2 additional high tops. V made it work in a way I couldn't have. The food came out perfectly paced, everything was cooked EXACTLY as we ordered it, and despite being completely overwhelmed (all the staff were) my husband and I had an incredible dining experience. We grabbed Scott the manager before we left to let him know how great V was and that we would back. He was kind, gracious and friendly in a way that is often missing from management in the restaurant industry these days. A 10 out of 10 dining experience all things considered. My husband and I love a really GREAT meal, but we return to great restaurants for the SERVICE. I always know I'm going to get a great meal at RC's- but the service is what makes it. The Ruth's C's in Waltham- we ask for Rodney, at the Somerville location- it will be V. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this location for it's ease of parking, fantastic service (hostesses, food runners, servers, bartenders AND management) Thank you to ALL of the staff who were working so unbelievably hard under insanely busy conditions- your commitment to your customers and your jobs didn't go unnoticed. Waitstaff failed to follow through on a couple of requests and had to be reminded.“
