“Locally owned & operated. Good food, nice atmosphere, good service, good neighbor. The restaurant business isn’t the easiest, but even in the toughest of times (COVID), The Corner Stop has been willing to support The Scituate Animal Shelter’s annual Dine Out for Cats & Dogs fundraiser 👏👏👏🤗💋“

“Best upscale tavern in the region.“
“Simple grilled cheese and bacon, but it was amazing. Loaded tots with Bang sauce were excellent too. Cider and wild berry lemonade as well. Didn’t last long enough to take a picture!“

“Great potential! Love the creativity - I had squash Mac and cheese which was delicious but the presentation was very unappetizing. Easy solution, a nice bowl under the broiler or a skillet.
The service was rushed and I was given a box within minutes of being served. So I took it home and put it in a pie shell with cheese to bake and voila - beautifully delicious!
Also, all three cocktails our table got were nearly undrinkable especially the coconut margarita (it tasted like 95% lime juice).
I really wanted for this to become my new go to for a creative dinner on the South Shore, but it is not quite there yet (more appetizing presentation and better drinks) – maybe when I visit again later this summer it will be!“

“The Square Cafe is now my go-to spot. Their bread pudding is the star - I'm still dreaming about it. The holiday cocktail menu is fun creative and festive. The Sesame Salmon is a masterpiece - perfectly seared with a crispy crust while staying tender inside. The spicy soy beurre blanc sauce and wakame seaweed salad create an amazing blend of flavors and textures. What makes this place truly special is the exceptional service. Sean, Amanda, and Jimmy created such a welcoming atmosphere for our party of 9. Jimmy didn't miss a beat and was very attentive. Sean & Amanda's friendly personalities made the experience even better. Thank you! Whether you're coming for the amazing bread pudding (which you absolutely should) or the delicious food and cocktails, their warm hospitality made our visit extra special. Five stars, easily one of the best dining experiences on the South Shore.“

“As a member of the Boston Vegetarian Society and a vegan for over three decades, I was delighted to discover delicious vegan options on the menu at the Sun Tavern. The culinary standout, smoked tofu, surpassed expectations with its extraordinary flavors and textures, while my wife Meg's pasta dish presented a delicate balance of hearty and fresh locally grown ingredients. Celebrating our 44th anniversary in such a charming ambiance was a true treat. The Sun Tavern’s commitment to delivering satisfying and robust vegan cuisine positions it among the finest dining experiences in the South Shore area, ensuring it takes a well-deserved place on the vegan-friendly epicurean map. “Where do I start!? I am from upstate New York and visiting my dad and wife and made it a point to go to E/2 and enjoy the amazing food and atmosphere. Charlie, the owner made one mean expresso martini. Our waiter, Eric was exceptional and was attentive. The Chef, George did not disappoint! Best scallops I've ever had! Pan seared monk fish with risotto was absolutely divine. My boyfriend the carnivore, enjoyed the succulent and savory tasting ribs that fell right off the bone. Thank you yet again for the amazing meal and great service. We shall be back soon!“

“We had a wonderful experience at Oro. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was so pleasing. We celebrated two High School graduates. One from Michigan who is going to Stanford and the other from Utah who will be attending the University of Utah. Everything went as planned. We especially want to thank Tatum who planned everything out for us. She answered all our questions and helped make the evening such a success. We also want to thank Robin King, Chef and Owner, for the delicious meal. If you are thinking of hosting an event please contact Oro. You will not be disappointed!!“
