“My partner and I are new in the area, and were excited to try this place. We were not expecting the greatest Mexican food, it being western Massachusetts. We were pleasantly surprised by the authentic, delicious dishes and awesome margaritas. It mostly compensated for the terrible attitude of our server. Both times we've eaten there she was our server. She could not have cared less - no greeting, no smile, and she practically tossed our dishes on the table. The first time we chalked it up to her having a bad day, but when our second visit was the same, we think maybe she's just having a bad life. It really brings down the whole dining experience.“

I thought it was pretty good, then I made the mistake of traveling back to the Southwest and reminding myself of what truly excellent Mexican food tastes like. Whether you're talking actual Mexican or Tex-Mex, this just isn't as flavorful as you can get elsewhere and is a more Americanized version that caters to palates not accustomed to a lot of spice and flavor. Perhaps there is a secret menu or something where you can get food made with bolder flavors?“

“I LOVE El Comalito!! They have a huge menu, so there is definitely something for everyone. They even have chicken fingers and fries for people who might not like El Salvadoran food. It's so cute and colorful inside, with plenty of seating and a full bar. I always get pupusas when I come because they make them fresh, and I love the spicy pickled cabbage it comes with. The pupusas take about 20 minutes to make, but even then everything came out pretty quickly. The margaritas are so good and come in so many flavors! I got the passion fruit this time but I've also had the pineapple and hibiscus in the past. They recently added sopes to their menu so I had to try them. I got the veggie version which was absolutely loaded up! Mushrooms, peppers, onions, broccoli, lettuce, cheese. My only tiny complaint is that I wish the broccoli was cut into smaller pieces so it is easier to get a bite with a little of everything. I would definitely come back and I highly recommend checking this place out!“

“I was in Springfield for some Christmas shopping and on my way home I saw an orange/yellow? food truck on an intersection corner with a taco as one of it's pictures. I should start off by telling everyone that I am NOT a fan of Mexican food whatsoever. But I was hungry and how bad can someone mess up a bland plain chicken taco? I was greeted with a big smile and asked if I wanted to order. I said yes but idk if it's on the menu, I was something with chicken in it, a wrap, rice and beans. He so politely told me that was a burrito and pointed to it on the menu. it had chicken, rice beans, lettuce, tomato, cilantro and I think onions. I'm like YES THAT! Price wasn't all that bad either. Then he told me 10-15 minutes. I was taken aback but said ok. I 100% assumed it would take all 3 minutes to whip up some already cooked chicken and plop it together so when I heard 10-15 I'm like wow this is unexpected, looks like they're going to make it to order! Ten minutes later I go up and grab my food and thank him. This is the part to read: I open up the container and theres two little containers and I open the red one and stick my poor tongue in it... boy... that sauce was HOT. So I bite into the burrito and the first bite is ABSOLUTE BLISS. The wrap is crunchy but also soft and holding everything together, the rice and beans are amazingly seasoned (nowhere near overpowering, just subtle perfection) everything else in the burrito is cooked amazing. I couldn't beieve what I had just ordered. After eating the first half I got out and knocked and told him it was the best burrito I've ever eaten in my entire life and it's also high on my list with one of the best things I've ever eaten. everything just mended together to make this soul warming comfy food experience I NEVER ever would have expected from a food truck in Springfield. TLDR Beat burrito I've ever had in my entire life. Was an amazing experience, hope they keep this up. You have to try it. Thank YOU -Frank“

“My wife and I love good Cajun food. Our meals at Springdale Lunch in Holyoke were delicious. Just the right amount of Cajun heat in my Chicken Gumbo. And the Chicken with Crawfish Étouffée, and my wife's Blackened Tuna were perfectly prepared, as was the tasty cornbread that came with our meals. The place is small, but comfortable. The prices are fair. And the owner/chef is awesome. Our lunch was a real treat. We will be back.“

“YOU MUST EAT HERE!Don't even get me started on my love of Bueno Y Sano. I started eating their burittos when I was an undergraduate student at Umass Amherst in 1997. Of course, part of what I love so much about the restaurant is the memories and nostalgia of the wonderful times spent at the Amherst location. However, the food is absolutely phenomenal. The burittos are big (they roll fatties), flavorful and delicious. The tortillas are perfection. The ingredients are top-notch. The salsa at the salsa bar has been the same delicious, homemade flavor since the day I first tasted it. Truth be told...I've stopped in the restaurant a time or two just to fill a little salsa container so I could get my fix. I'm not sorry about it.While the menu has expanded, the classics have not changed. Chicken, steak, shrimp, or veggie only burittos are perfect and delicious. I have been to the locations in Northampton, Springfield, West Springfield, and Amherst. The food is perfect ? at all of them. Folks, my wife (also Umass alum) and I have flown back from cities all over the world (literally) to find our way back to "Bueno" because we love it so much!! That's how delicious and perfect it is.If anyone ever tells you, "I don't get why you love Bueno Y Sano so much." Or "It's just ok. " Those are NOT your people. “I was never big on Mexican food until I started testing out Fronteras menu Best authentic Mexican food in western mass one of the best things about this restaurant is the food is not only prepared fresh daily but it comes out hot and fast everytime ? look no further if you want excellent service and incredible Mexican cuisine this specific location is the place to be this is the frontera steak and shrimp I ordered. This entree by far is one of the best entrees they have but don’t let that stop you from nothing the whole menu is filled with a huge variety that they prepare to your preference for reasonable price cannot wait to be back here again… I’m a regular so I’ll be here quite soon ☺️“

“# colonialcafe, Chicopee has amazing food, especially for the price! They have taco Tuesdays where they offer $2 tacos that are huge. And on Fridays did you fish on Fridays. Usually I eat there twice a week Tuesdays and Fridays I just started going there about a month ago the staff are friendly. I typically will get two to three meals out of the serving size that they give you! And their prices to begin with are extremely cheap. There is another place that does fish as a Fisherman's Platter and charges just under $40, Colonial Cafe only charges just over $25 in the plate size is just as big if not bigger! Cooked fresh and ready to go if you're ordering take out they do have a phone number where you can call in advance just tell them EJ sent you! Don't be sure to take good care of you. I have no Financial benefit for recommending this place my benefit is effectively good care of me when I'm there and I'm sure they'll do the same for you. Happy eating“

“Coming here after a long day of work just hits the spot. Food was great to the beef being tender to Just enough seasoning. Small area but it has a cute disco ball for party time. My only complaint is the amount of rice compare to the beans portion. Just add a little bit more“

“This location is better than the Northampton one. Get the carne asada (steak) burrito as it is much better than the chicken or bean. Reasonably priced and quick service when they are not slammed. You seat yourself and they bring it out to you. Good salsas and sides as well. Park in the subway Walgreens plaza if you don’t like street parking. My favorite Mexican place in the area above bueno and el camolito.“

“I have been here numerous times since they opened and I have to admit, the food is absolutely fantastic. I have tried almost everything on the menu and the only thing I didnt care for was the Mole. Don't take just my word for it though, two of my buddies tried it and they absolutely loved it! The only complaint I have is that it's just a lil too pricey. Maybe if the meals were $2-3$ cheaper, or if they gave you some more food with your meal, it may seem like a better deal. Like I said, I can't complain about the food at all, or the service, or the atmosphere lol. Me and my daughter went there last night and we got two Chimichangas and an order of chips and salsa. Only water to drink and with a tip I spent $45+. I just don't like leaving a restaurant after eating dinner and driving home thinking to myself... I'm still hungry...“

“First time here. Cute restaurant, minimal decore but bright colors. Not a lot of privacy between tables. Definitely set up for a party mentality. Food was really good. Portions WAY, WAY to big. Couldn't finish it. Had them box it up to go but only half was put in the box. Prices decent, can't complain. Won't fight to go back but if invited I'd go.“

“I got a pork burrito with lettuce tomato and cheese, as well as a loaded baked potato. I’ll be honest with you, I don’t think I’ve ever had a burrito with that much cheese. Pork was awesome but my god there was so much cheese. If that’s your thing, ask for it, personally it kinda muddied the otherwise fantastic burrito. The potato was awesome though. The perfect comfort food on a cold day. Would’ve been five stars if there was maybe less cheese on the burrito, but that was optional, so I suppose that’s on me.“

“This is very good Mexican food for the east coast. I got a chicken burrito and it was huge and delicious! I would recommend getting extra salsa on the side. The chicken was tender, the rice was perfectly cooked, and the beans were so flavorful! I wish there had been more salsa in the burrito, but overall it's very solid especially for being in western Massachusetts. Definitely the best Mexican food I've had in non-urban area.“

“These are quite simply THE BEST tacos in the Valley! I have lived in Mexico and have tasted tacos all over the world....how lucky am I that these beauties are right in my back yard! I highly recommend the chorizo, birria and pastor tacos. And the whole elote (seasoned corn on a stick) is messy, in the best of ways, and BIEN RICO! The workers are wonderful and kind and work hard to get your order to you quick and accurate!“

Wife and I scarfed the burrito and had to go order another one. Very family friendly inside. Crayons and papers were available for kids. “This was such a hidden gem! I almost walked past it, but the glittering lights inside brought me in and they did NOT disappoint! The food was delicious and the staff were super knowledgeable about the spice levels of various dishes, suggesting food for each of our preferences! We had the queso fundito which was DELICIOUS (it was a mild spice for most, but a little too spicy for me to order again lol), and I had the loaded nachos with carnitas and they were some of the best nachos I have ever had! The nachos were extra interesting because they are full tortillas, not tortilla chips, that the toppings were placed on, and the carnitas were super mild on spice! The only thing that was a little lackluster was the drinks were quite sweet, so if you are someone who wants a more sour than sweet margarita, I would recommend asking for it less sweet. Overall, this was such an amazing restaurant and I will definitely be coming back here again and again!“
