“Week to week this is a lovely Chinese restaurant to order a number of appetizer favorites and house special meals. They’re ALWAYS busy but manage to prepare your order in a timely manner.Personal favorite is letter M with a substitution of beef lo mein instead of vegetables. They’re always accommodating and do not give you an attitude when you ask for a substitute. I rather take a 20 minute drive to this Chinese restaurant than a few of the local establishments.Despite the airy clear film divider, the area where they prep our food appears to be quite clean and not cluttered. Give them a try. Despite the older negative reviews, every business deserves a chance to improve. Give Fortune Cookie a try!Pros: fresh food, flavor is never lacking (not salty), clean working area, professional, on time and consistentCons: they’re closed on Tuesdays“

“It is a place that I have visited for more than 20 years. They cook delicious.Good portion. It is a place that they visit a lot.But it is not a place to eat, there is on the table, it is more to take the food home. Its Owners are Chinese, very feisty and hard-working people. Its owners are a couple.and they are the the only ones that run this restaurant.
Wheelchair accessibility: It has its ramp for the wheelchair. A bit of a problem is holding the door.“

“I don't understand why so many people give Ho Mei bad reviews. So far, it is my favorite Chinese food in Springfield. Is it fancy? No. However, it is quality food and really affordable. The gentleman who is usually at the front desk is very friendly and his service is great. If you go there as much as I do, they will remember your face and likely your order (if it stays the same). Definitely recommend!“

“An affordable family-run take out Chinese food.
I stopped by to pickup some Chinese food. Beef noodle for my kids and general Tsao’s combo for me.
Everything came out hot. The egg rolls took the longest. It was crunchy and I could tell it was home made.
The noodles was OK. It was a bit light on ingredients but at this price point, that’s fine.
General Tsao was interesting. Small pieces of chicken, individually thickly coated, and sauces generously. No broccoli but at this price, can’t ask for it. It had a nice crunch and flavor was good. It came in a smallish container but it was packed full of food.
They put in utensils I asked for along with sauces.
When I was there, bunch of kids were there and they were helping out. It’s nice to see family run shops. The woman taking order was super friendly and asked about my kids.
If you want an affordable and generously portioned meal, these guys are great.“

“It's tasty. I enjoyed the chicken wings and pork fried rice. They gave me enough to split the plate with my sister. Im gonna try the boneless spare ribs next. Don't believe the PDF menu on their site. Its not what they have. See my pics for the menu as of 14-May ??“

“Delivery is usually 45 minutes to my house and I live 5 minutes away. However, I noticed in the restaurant they usually wait until they have a few orders before the driver leaves. I don't dine in because the dining area is very small with cheap chairs and broken tables. Bathrooms are usually dirty.Their food is definitely one of the best in the area. Their rice is average Chinese fried yellow rice with very few vegetables. (I prefer dark brown fried rice with lots of vegetables and egg) Their barbecue ribs are the best in the area, in my opinion. They are long, meaty, and juicy. They bake them (where as another local Chinese restaurant close by deep fries them, which makes them tough, dry, and chewy). Their beef teriyaki is amazing. Tender and very flavorful. I also love their fried scallops and chicken fingers.Their combination platters are very good. Generous portions for the price. The only thing I don't really like ordering here are the crab rangoons. I've ordered them a few times and most of the time they barely have any filing in them. One time an entire order had almost no filling. Overall I do recommend.“

“I tried Main Garden for the first time today and hands-down it was the absolute best Chinese food I've ever had in my entire life. Not only was the food spectacular but the portions were generous, it was so tasty and the presentation was impressive, I cannot wait to go again. I highly recommended it.“

“Today I ordered the wrong food, due to being pregnant and was craving a plate and it wasn’t the right chicken. So I went in and tried to change it and my I became a bit out of pocket when I wasn’t going to get my way. BUT the staff handled everything nicely and gave me my order. I’m extremely sorry for the way I acted you guys are the best! Also I always order the same plates and the food is always amazing!“

“Ordered delivery. Arrived quickly, all meals were hot. We all had lunch specials which come with pork fried rice and a vegetable egg roll. All main dishes were tasty- sweet and sour chicken done with all white meat, general tso chicken also done with white meat and shrimp egg fo young, with brown sauce (usual have white sauce) but it was good. Vegetable egg rolls were not as fresh as we like. Overall, we enjoyed our meals and it was nice to order delivery. Prices and serving sizes were excellent. We would definitely order from here again.“

“I love this place! Most people take their food to go. Parking is on a very busy, public main street. When you walk in you would probably want to walk right out. The dining area is small and could use a serious upgrade. Floors and chairs are usually dirty. The chairs and the only two tables in the dining area are small. Wallpaper is worn down and the window front looks like it has not been cleaned in years. However, this is one of those places where looks can be deceiving.Unfortunately, they had a hard time keeping drivers so they don't deliver anymore. They have great prices for the food portions. Probably one of the best prices around. Their food is very good. They're rice is okay. It's the typical yellow, fried rice most Chinese restaurants in our area serve, with very little vegetables in the rice and no eggs. They have a more extensive appetizer menu than most. I love that they have some Spanish appetizers, such as boquitas and fried sweet plantains. My favorite items to get here are there bourbon chicken, chicken wings, soups, fried scallops, spare ribs, chicken fingers, beef teriyaki, any of their broccoli dishes, and egg rolls. I usually ask for extra bourbon sauce on the bourbon chicken so that it's not too dry. It's flavorful and grilled perfectly. They make their own egg rolls. I like to get them in large quantities to snack on for a couple days. Most egg rolls in the area are frozen, store bought, and are filled mostly with cabbage. Theirs are filled with cabbage and lots of minced BBQ spare ribs meat. I also like their fried sugar donuts. They remind me of minnie fried dough bites, except they're softer. Their fried apple sticks are good when they're crispy and covered in cinnamon sugar. I ordered them once and it was chewy and soft and did not have any cinnamon sugar on them. It had a very doughy flavor. Most of their lunch and dinner combinations are good. Overall, I recommend. My rating is based on the quality of food and not their dining area or location.“

“I ordered twice from this place and both times the food was very good. The second time I ordered pork lo mein with beef broccoli. The portions and price are reasonable. I also ordered wonton egg drop soup, chicken wings, and crab rangoon. The food was all fresh. The rangoons were amazing. The chicken was great. A little on the salty side but I didn't mind it. The pork lo mein was one of the best I've had in the area! I was surprised at how much flavor it had and plenty of vegetables. The beef broccoli was okay. I didn't care for the beef and neither did my dog. Lol But that was fine, I ate the broccoli and lo mein. I had the meal delivered and delivery was on time. I read the previous reviews but fortunately I didn't have the same experience. I recommend.UPDATE: I ordered a combination with pork fried rice, general tso, and boneless spare ribs. It was okay. I didn't care for the boneless spare ribs flavor, but everything was cooked well. I also had the rangoons and chicken wings again. Both were good but the chicken wings were a little too salty. Food overall was still good.“

“Food is best around, chicken fried rice has tons of chicken and is delicious, boneless ribs are amazing, ask them to make them extra crispy is key, crab Rangoon are the best I've ever had, everything there is great, I don't eat Chinese alot but when I do I go only there.
Parking: I park right in front, order is usually ready when I get there.“
