“Really nice atmosphere. Proper place to have a beer with friends or watch a game. The bartender was super friendly and conversational. Me and my friend just sat down to get two diet cokes, and he let us have it on the house so thats automatically a 5-star review.
You should go here (don't expect any free cokes tho)“

“Holy moly! Rainy first night in Boston staying up the way at the Commonwealth we visited the Kenmore. Nathan took great care of us. Solid pour at the bar. Can I say enough about the K Burger? Likely not other than the first bite blows your mind. Quality over everything else. Great spot, will be back tonight and tomorrow night looking for Sturgill Simpson fans.“

“Went only once last night so don't want to knock any stars. But, my biggest suggestion is that please include pictures of sake bottles (even just labels) next to the title on your online menu. Right now, it's paragraphs after paragraphs of many many sakes. I got analysis paralysis after a few seconds.“

“was staying one block down the way from here and I came back two nights in a row. I'm from Kansas City, MO and this place was cozy, a good selection of the brown waters and the fried pickles 🤌🏽
I find myself in Boston every couple of years and well, the Eastside is where it's at for me.
Till next time, cheers“

“This was a last stop on our self created pub/tavern/bar crawl. It was a flipping vibe! Reminded me of a place we would go in Paris. The bar stools were so comfortable which is why we stayed for two rounds! The drinks were amazing. My husband got a great beer and I hit a few of the signature cocktails. (Something Bloom, and a mint, sage, lemon one - amazing). We tried one appetizer - Golden Pork Belly with Guacamole- crispy, creamy, spicy. Perfection in flavor and presentation! It was the highlight on the pub crawl. The inside is beautiful and the staff was so kind, helpful and welcoming! We will probably go back tonight!!! Best was for sure last!!!“

“Went here last night and it was fabulous! Bartender was awesome, the Dog staff was great! As somebody who works with Dogs on the daily, it was nice to bring my dog here and have somebody else pay attention to her while she played with her friends. The dog staff does a great job, controlling the environment and keeping everybody safe. I plan on making this my weekly spot.“

“I liked the burger. Truffle Gorgonzola fries were ok— I liked the fries, but didn’t really like the sauce. Stomach felt a little funny after, but not sure if that was the burger or fries.
Food came quick. Space was clean and small but not crowded.
Parking lot out back had multiple spaces available and was $1.35/hr. There’s some 2 hr free spots a few blocks down but you have to parallel park. Some 1 hr free spots closer to the restaurant but those were almost all taken Saturday lunch hour.“

“Feels like the perfect blend of local happy hour and transient/tourist patrons.
Quick service and good pours and good prices (for a black velvet or snake bite depending on who you ask Guinness/cider).
Good smiles(and funny looks at my drink choice)
Great stop off for after dinner drink
Bit loud, but to be expected with the space.“

“We stopped in on the way home from the airport, and it was amazing! From the moment we walked in the door, we felt welcomed. The atmosphere and food were awesome. I highly recommend the Mickey’s Chicken special and the red sangria which was a deep dark red- as sangria should be. Yum! My children loved our Irish waitress who Made them laugh and feel special. This restaurant is over an hour from where we live, but there is no doubt we will travel back often. Wonderful experience!“

“Tucked beneath Krasi in Boston’s Back Bay, Hecate is more than just a bar—it’s a journey. Inspired by the Greek goddess of magic and crossroads, this speakeasy offers a spellbinding escape from the ordinary, weaving together ambiance, craftsmanship, and storytelling in a way few places can replicate.
From the moment you step inside, you’re transported to a world that feels European yet distinctly unique. The space is intimate, with dim lighting, plush textures, and a chic blend of vintage and contemporary design. The subtle beats of house music set the tone for a night of discovery, while the bartenders, poised like performers, work their magic behind the bar.
Lou Charbonneau’s cocktail menu is where the enchantment truly begins. Each drink is a masterpiece, reflecting inspiration drawn from far-flung spice markets, culinary delights, and worldly travels. The drinks at Hecate don’t just quench thirst—they tell a story. One sip might evoke the warmth of a Moroccan souk, while another might transport you to a bustling European café. This balance of old-world charm and modern creativity results in cocktails that are simultaneously familiar and delightfully unexpected.
Hecate’s charm lies not in a clandestine entrance but in the curated experience within. Every detail, from the glassware to the garnish, is a deliberate choice meant to captivate. It’s no wonder Hecate has earned global acclaim, listed among the “World 50 Best Discovery Bars” and the “Top 500 Bars.”
If you’re seeking more than just a drink—if you’re craving a story, an adventure, a memory—Hecate is your destination. Here, time slows, curiosity flourishes, and every sip feels like a revelation. It’s not just one of Boston’s coolest speakeasies; it’s one of the coolest anywhere.“

“Finally posting a review after many visits, including for private events. It's a magical space where every detail is thoughtfully curated. “Went here a few times on our short stay in Boston. Good selection of beers and spirits but what really makes the place is the people behind the bar. TC and the rest of the team were great fun and made me and my wife so welcome. I'm still annoyed though that my songs never came on the jukebox...“

“Very very creative cocktails! First time in and we quite enjoyed ourselves. Our drinks were great and fun. The options for food were fairly limited, and rather creative as well - which is challenging if you're drinking with a picky-eater :-). I'll be back, but probably solo.“

“Fun, Casual Sports Bar, lots of big screens. Comfort Foods, service was good. The noise level was high and while there the music came on but it was quite loud, although we did like the playlist. That being said, we're a group of 50 year olds, so noise level probably affects us more😜“

“This restaurant is dope. The interior is warm and inviting. It’s modern and chic. Definitely an elevated hipster vibe. A chill spot to hang out after work or nice date night. The food is bomb! For apps, I’ve never had a Chinese-inspired arancini. These crispy delights are addicting with their crack sauce. The sauce is a must have on the arancini. The salad is light and refreshing. The Kokoda is a well made dish. I never had blue fin tuna until I came here. The combo with the fresh fish with the acidity from the lemon juice and smooth finish of coconut sauce - oof, worth a try. There’s also another surprise about the Kokoda - there’s something called sea grapes 🍇 and were bursting of flavor and freshness. A nice addition to the dish. I could go for seconds with the Kokoda because it’s a bit small for me. I wish they made it 2x bigger so it could be more shareable with a date or with company. The Maine Uni was surprisingly delicious 😋. I honestly thought it was too expensive but after having it, it was an amazing amuse bouche (the perfect bite). I couldn’t believe that small bite packed so much flavor and complexity. It was balanced and left me feeling happy. Totally worth it. For mains, the pork belly adobo melts in your mouth. So good! The mushroom raviolis are my favorite out of this menu. The salted duck egg sauce is what makes this dish memorable. I would definitely eat this again. The bitter melon ratatouille is not my favorite because it wasn’t seasoned enough for me. It felt as though it was missing salt. The veggies were perfectly roasted though, but it didn’t quite smack like the other dishes. The ribeye is good, but not my favorite. I might be biased because I’ve had better at other places. For desserts, the pandan sorbet is tasty. I’m not a fan of the pandan taste. It’s definitely an acquired taste, but I enjoyed it because I love avocados and bananas and in ice cream form? No brainer. I wished they had a version without the pandan flavoring. I’m curious as to how it would taste then. The matcha cheesecake is surprisingly well-balanced. Not too matcha where it’s overbearing. The matcha is subtle while the richness of the cheesecake smacks just right and not overly sugary. The late night menu - I only tried the Chicharrón taco 🌮. The combo of crispy pork belly and the acidity from the lime is perf. Nothing else to say. Surprisingly really filling. I probably can’t have more than 2 of these tacos and I’m a pretty big guy. The drinks - I love the names and how they have a play on words. The blood orange and the banana espresso are my favorite. These drinks have enough booze and not too much where it’s offensive. Blood orange is enjoyable to drink and the banana espresso is complex with a chocolate finish. Their nice, clean cocktails. Service was awesome! The servers were friendly and quick. They regularly checked in with my wife and me. I don’t think I even had to do the awkward “please help us” lean at all. They were there when you needed them! Amazing 5 star service! You want a culinary experience. This place won’t disappoint.“

“Beautiful experience for dinner this evening. Host was friend & welcoming upon our arrival. Lovely beer selection which suited everyone’s tastes in our group of 8. Highly recommend the whipped ricotta and honey flatbread to start. Our table had everything from a Cuban sandwich, fish tacos, shrimp po’boy, roast beef sandwich to ahi tuna and everyone enjoyed their meals. Our server was friendly and professional.“
