“The pho was fine; nothing special but solid. I got the pho dac biet and got lots of tripe and not much else. We tried the Korean fried chicken as well and it was forgettable - the sauce was not glazed onto the chicken very well and the texture was very chewy. Overall this is a serviceable option if you’re feeling pho but nothing more“

“Popular place that needs reservation in advance (likely because the shop is somewhat small). The staff was extremely friendly and kind, offering a sake drink as a start on the house. The golden dragon (?) flower sake was amazing.
However, the shop interior felt a bit decrepit - my stool was rocking back and forth. The egg noodles were well cooked but overall alright. $35 per person with appetizers.“

“Excellent food, lots of menu options for gluten free, spicy, low calorie and all are very flavorful! The tamarind crispy chicken is an excellent choice! Staff is very attentive and kind, and there’s a discount for paying cash! A must-try!“

“Stopped by Phinista and got a Cà Phê Trứng with extra foam on top and they added it for free which I really appreciated. The coffee was rich and creamy, just like how it should be. I also got an Iced Saigonese Coffee and it was super smooth and flavorful. I love the vibe there. Will def come back whenever I’m back in Boston.“

“Second visit. First time I wasn’t sure I would return because maybe it was when they first opened, didn’t figure things out yet and it was a weekend. It was slammed. Messy prep area. Foam everywhere
We just went on a weekday. Opposite experience. Empty. Clean. And the food - wow. Got the stew and was floored. An aunty brought it out within 7 min of ordering. So much depth of flavor. I’ve always wanted a place that offered real food for breakfast. Not pastries. I’ve finally found it. Bread was meh.
Coffee was good. Not my style because it’s more dessert style but amazing if you like that kinda thing. Custard on egg coffee was silky but very sweet. Coconut was tasty but again too sweet for me. Not sure if we can do a less sweet option or if the sugar is necessary for the custard texture. Great food presentation. For here coffee was served in plastic. Would rather glass. Straws weren’t the right shape (too narrow/ bent so couldn’t work with thick drinks). Coffee custard made to order so it’s definitely awesome but not a quick drink to grab on the way to work.
Still things to sort out but hope they stick around.“

“I like to go here a few times a month with my girlfriend. First thing we tried was the pork Banh mi (it was amazing), but now our go-to dish is the spicy eggplant with noodles. Can't recommend it enough. The crab Rangoons are also really good. This is one of my favorite restaurants in the city.“

“Market noodle is one of our favorite restaurants in Arlington Center. The food has always tasted fresh and delicious! Our favorites include, the Saigon salad which is such a satisfying delight! Comes with good portions of poached shrimp and steamed chicken over shredded veggies in a delicious homemade sauce I could dip everything into. Garlic udon noodles and the drunken noodles are also amazing! You won’t be disappointed! They’re always so pleasant and happy to take care of their guests. We hope they never leave Arlington Center !“

“We consider ourselves foodies and ordered take out last week and the food was delicious! In addition the staff was super friendly and gave some great advice on what to order. Great portion sizes. Today my husband and I returned and dined in. Again, the food was so good and people working there were so nice! We will definitely return as well as spread the word to our friends. Go Viet Citron ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!!!“

“You know it’s going to be great when the staff’s speaking Vietnamese to each other. My wife and I got the banh hoi bowl with crispy pork belly and it was fire! It was home cooking level good. They were also able to accommodate a peanut and tree nut allergy.“

“Order a banh mi sandiwch from Saigon Tiger, a new store on Relish. 1st delivery is late, not a good start from a new relish venue. hopefully the food is better than the prep for the delivery. Got my BBQ pork Bahn Mi dleivered not as late as was suggested by Relish. It was delicious, nice portion, great bread, plenty of jalapenos. Definitely will order again.“

“This small shop has really good banh mi! I'm a vegetarian, and have repeatedly gotten the tofu banh mi, but I've taken people here and they have enjoyed the pork and chicken banh mi as well. The staff are always super nice. I would 100% recommend this place for the food and pleasant customer service.
Vegetarian options: The tofu banh mi is really good.“

“All of the negative reviewers stating “take out only” over and over again need to reevaluate their life choices.
This place sells top quality Vietnamese food and the owners are some of the most hospitable workers you’ll come across. The food is fresh and authentic. The portions are generous. Just order if you’re reading these reviews, you won’t regret it.“

“My gf and I traveled a good 45 minutes to get here and it was totally worth it! I had ordered the Pad Thai and it was super delicious. I also had the Thai iced tea and although pretty sweet it was very refreshing and worth getting. I'll definitely be coming back with her soon!“

“My husband and I love coming to banh mi cafe, it’s one of our neighborhood go-to’s. It’s especially great to pick up a banh mi for a little picnic across the street, or by the library, which is advised bc they only have three counter seats.
Everyone here at banh mi cafe is efficient and welcoming, so service is quick. You can easily order at the kiosk if you’re feeling antisocial, the the staff are open to answering questions too. I usually go with the standard deli meat sandwich which is phenomenal. I tried their bbq pork and their lemongrass tofu last night. Both were super tasty, but I’m always nostalgic for a traditional banh mi personally. However, the lemongrass tofu was honestly a sleeper hit. It’s really flavorful and has such a nice contrasting texture against their French bread. Highly recommend it here! Their fresh rolls are also fantastic—extremely crisp, I think they add chive in it? It’s great, whatever it is lol. I will say, in the dozens of times I’ve been, they have only sold out of bread once after 6/6:30pm, but when I tell you I was absolutely devastated…so get there early if you can!“

“Pho 1 has changed a lot and I’ve been going there for years. Last night I ordered the beef soup for take out and when I got home and opened it the meat was like shredded and not the same consistency that had been in the past. These are hard times for all of us and giving customers scraps is no acceptable. I will go again later in the year and see if they have improved.“

“genuinely some of the worst service i have ever received at a restaurant - after i ordered, the server only dropped off food, didn’t speak and walked away immediately and did not stop back to refill empty drinks or ask if everything was good. as a server myself, this was disappointing, especially because i could have used a refill on my drink and some more lime for my pho 🙃 despite this, the food was amazing so i will return to give it another shot.“

“We really enjoyed our dinner at Saigon Babylon! I think it’s one of the better places I’ve been to in Boston in terms of food, ambiance, and location. The drink options were really fun and tasted delicious. Although the menu was small, there was a good variety. The food had a lot of flavor and felt very unique. Finally, the service was a little slow but everyone was really kind and welcoming. I would definitely come back!“

“Dang oh dang 🤩, what a deal what a steal. I have never been so satisfied during my lunch break when I sat down and was presented with an amazing appetizer of crab rangoon which was then followed by drunken noodles 🍝. I love Thai food but man this Thai food was better than usual. The price on the other hand was amazing for the quality it provides. Mae is well located in Cambridge so take your next lunch break here, you won’t be disappointed 😆.“

“Beautiful dining room. I ordered take out this evening using the Toast App. I mistakenly added a $500 tip instead of a $5 tip because the order went through too fast. I called and explained what happened. The manager called me right back and assured me that he would fix it before closing out. He was so kind, even though they were busy. The food was excellent and the waitress was so kind in packing one dish separately due to a peanut allergy. We will definitely be frequent flyers here.“

“Exceptional. They brine/marinate and don’t cheap out on labor. Each entree is well studied and executed - from a pro chef with limited ingredients. I hope they’ll maintain good quality for lower prices and gain volume- it’s perfect for work lunch takeout. 2x spices and time earns 10x returning guests. There’s a lot of business to grow.“

“The food was super! We ordered the pork belly bao, butter beef spring rolls, kimchi fried rice, the beef curry mazemen, and the Shojonator with duck fat fries. Everything was great! The kimchi fried rice was so, so good! The beef curry was perfectly spiced! The spring rolls were clean and crunchy with a great sauce. The pork belly bao had perfectly matched components that worked so well! The duck fat fries were hot (temperature), seasoned well, and crunchy. The shojonator was really good and cooked perfectly. Everything here is great, if you want a good meal! It's worth the price!“

“The atmosphere is beautiful and makes me feel like I’m on breezy vacation. I got the duck pho which was okay, I’m that big a fan of pho in general. It was well made. But my friend got the pork bowl which was delicious. The yogurt reduction was like tasting heaven.“

“If you’re hungry and not sure where to go near Coolidge Corner, Soup Shack is the spot. They’ve got everything from steaming ramen and rich pho to hearty rice bowls. If soup’s not your thing, the chicken katsu curry rice bowl is a must-try.
Service is always friendly, portions are generous, and prices are reasonable. Plus, they’ve got a Cambridge location too.“

“One of my fav places to grab a coffee and snack! It’s always so busy here but it’s because it’s worth it! The Ube Phin is great, with coffee and Ube flavoring coming through really nicely! The Ube milk tea is not bad but very milky, not a must try.
Pandan bun was very fluffy and had great texture! I just wish the Pandan flavor was stronger, even with the top part you could barely taste it, so it was more just a nice sweet bun. The food here looks so good though, can’t wait to try it and some of their other drinks next time I come!
Edit: Came back for the Breakfast skillet and it’s 100% worth it. A whole baguette with pickle on the side goes perfectly with a Vietnamese sampler platter of meats, egg, cheese, and tomato sauce. It’s a lot but so incredibly good!“

“Got lunch here for the first time while working on the field in the Harvard IT department. I work around the West Campus a lot so I'm looking for more lunch spots. The kiosk is easy to use and navigate, the wait time was short. The pho was great and made for a nice warm bowl of broth and noodles in this cold weather. The noodles are well cooked. The broth was hot and had good seasoning. Lots of toppings and meat. My note of no lime and ginger was fulfilled.
However, my only complaint is that I also ordered a Brown Sugar boba milk tea and had to immediately spit it out as the taste of spoiled milk hit. I had my colleague at the office try it and he too also noticed it didn't taste like Brown Sugar boba milk tea and compared it to spoiled milk. I'm not going to give a 1 star because the review doesn't deserve that, but just a -1 for my drink. Might try again another day...but thanks for reading my review!“

“Good place for a quick and satisfying lunch. These banh mi’s are served on fresh shatteringly crispy bread and they are filled with the protein of your choice plus jalapeño slices, cilantro, mayo and carrot and daikon pickle. I see some reviews complain about no pate but that is usually only in the cold cut banh mi. Staff are helpful and efficient. We got our food made to order in just a few minutes.“
