“Great food and great service! I even got gluten free chicken parm and spaghetti which was excellent! They have a wonderful food and drink menu. Our server Jess was was excellent as well. The manager Nick greeted us when we came in and found us a great table by the window. So the bottom line is, this is a great restaurant and I'm so happy we found this little gem! We will be back!”

“I have lived in the Boston-esque area for twelve years and have eaten so many good meals, but the fish tacos here are the only meal I needed to have before my upcoming move out west(ern MA). Cocktails are fun and creative, service is 13/10, the XL portions of fries that require to-go boxes are the only fries I’ve ever found to reheat well, and if you’re lucky, Steve will be tending bar. I love going at the slightly quieter times but I’ll never gatekeep the euphoria experienced by a meal here. Bonus perks: Max & Chelsea have the best senses of humor, the murals on the patio are always amazing, the beer and wine selection are vast (also the mocktails!), and the decor always feels like your favorite “I Spy” book.”

“My husband and I love coming to banh mi cafe, it’s one of our neighborhood go-to’s. It’s especially great to pick up a banh mi for a little picnic across the street, or by the library, which is advised bc they only have three counter seats.

Everyone here at banh mi cafe is efficient and welcoming, so service is quick. You can easily order at the kiosk if you’re feeling antisocial, the the staff are open to answering questions too. I usually go with the standard deli meat sandwich which is phenomenal. I tried their bbq pork and their lemongrass tofu last night. Both were super tasty, but I’m always nostalgic for a traditional banh mi personally. However, the lemongrass tofu was honestly a sleeper hit. It’s really flavorful and has such a nice contrasting texture against their French bread. Highly recommend it here! Their fresh rolls are also fantastic—extremely crisp, I think they add chive in it? It’s great, whatever it is lol. I will say, in the dozens of times I’ve been, they have only sold out of bread once after 6/6:30pm, but when I tell you I was absolutely devastated…so get there early if you can!”

There was an event on this day, but this did not affect the service time, there were a lot of people and i want to say thank you to Dmitry, sorry if i misspelled your name, this is a waiter in a black shirt who helped me with the choice from the menu, especially with dessert it was delicious, very good service! I will definitely return to you. Thanks to the owner of this restaurant for such staff I will recommend this restaurant to everyone!”

“Been coming here for yrs. but a first trimester morning where all I craved was cherry jam and feta cheese brought me back here after years of not coming over from Cambridge.

This place has all the comfort foods of Turkey - desserts, jams, olives (BLACK OLIVES YUM), and has some other random European things like Nutella.

Truly my favorite little middle eastern spot and they have fresh simit as well.

Draft beer choices were limited, a lot more fruit/vegetable flavored beers (pumpkin etc...) which was not great.
Somewhat expensive if both food and drinks, but they do offer 7oz beers so you can try a few things out. Good place for team/friend hangouts.”

“Chennai Eats is a hidden gem for anyone craving truly authentic South Indian flavors. The food is consistently fresh and bursting with the kind of taste that instantly transports you back home to India. Their appetizers, especially the idly and vada are spot on. It’s rare to find that level of authenticity for South Indian food here in Boston.

The biryanis are rich, aromatic, and satisfying. I have tried a few varieties so far and can’t wait to get my hands on their Hyderabadi Dum Biryani once it’s back in stock.

Prices are reasonable, though I do wish the portion sizes were a bit more generous. Still, the quality makes it worth every penny. The space itself is cozy with limited seating, so it can get crowded during peak hours.

My only gripe is with their online ordering system. The website estimates 20–30 minutes for pickup, but during busy lunch or dinner hours, it often takes longer once you arrive. I understand the rush, but it would be great if the wait times were updated more accurately to reflect real-time demand.

Overall, Chennai Eats delivers an exceptional culinary experience that’s hard to beat. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a taste of South India in the Boston area.”

“This is the second time in one week my friend and I have chosen this restaurant as our destination for food, drinks, and merriment and we were not disappointed.The staff is a delight, both times we were greeted with a warm smile and they were very knowledgeable recommending dishes and levels of spice. The naan bread is delicious and the appetizers and entrees we ordered were amazing as well bursting with so much flavor. “Though we had a reservation, we were seated by the door. On a cold winter day, with the door constantly opening, it was freezing. The hostess was not particularly nice when she seated us there. The waiter was fine and helpful. The food made up for that. The special Chicken and Waffle was so big that it was good for sharing. The beignets are to die for.”

“This was my second evening dinner at Branch Line, and it was as good as the first. Which is not easy to do, as an excellent first impression and first taste creates expectations it is hard to live up to. But they did. Location was perfect for a pre-theater dinner, as a group of us were going to a performance at the Mosesian theater, which is a 2 minute walk to a neighboring building. And the free covered parking is quite nice on a cold night. Reception and service were excellent. Food rich with flavor, and interesting. The rotisserie chicken - three varieties - is the signature dish, but all other in group ordered lamb, and were very pleased. Wines are interesting and fairly priced. Only reason I pulled pack one star on ambience was because it was a decidedly cold and windy evening, and our table was in the line of the entry door, so several at the table felt the need to bundle up a bit. No big deal. The place was packed and jumping. As it should be. Because we live two hours from Boston, I don't get there too often, but this is my top of the list go-to-when-in Boston restaurant choice.”

I swung by with a friend for Sunday afternoon football, and we had a fantastic experience. The atmosphere was very cozy and perfect for football: not too loud at all, and there were plenty of TVs showing the Pats game & RedZone to be easily viewed from any seats in the joint. The fellow patrons were delightful to hang out with for a few hours, very fun and there were many regulars. The service was fast, friendly, and made us feel like regulars on our first visit.

Prices were extremely reasonable. The food surpassed expectations (especially the fries, they're as good as they look in everyone's pictures)! There was also a great draft beer selection, and the bartender absolutely nailed it serving in chilled glasses.

The service was nice, but the food came out in a couple of stages and one person in our party had already started eating the food intended for another one of us. So two folks ate food they did not order (luckily the person with food allergies was not affected). Maybe that's on the first diner's etiquette, but it could also help if the food deliverers knew who ordered what.”

I recommend the N3. Spicy Hot Oil Seared Noodles. This was one of the best hand pulled noodles I've had. 11/10.

The Kung Pao Chicken came with either white rice or fried rice and a soup (we chose egg drop soup). There were more veggies than shrimp, and although the shrimp was good the veggies were a bit hard.

Regardless, definitely a great authentic restaurant for hand pulled noodles.”

“Finally tried this local legend! We're so glad we did. Got a Sicilian pie - cooked to perfection, fresh ingredients, yummy sauce, cheese, pepperoni, and an amazing crust. This is genuine pizza. The kind that is rare now. The Arancini was delicious too. The best part - how well everything heated the next day - few pizzas are so delicious second day now. They're so thin, charred, dry. This Sicilian pie heated up beautifully on day 2. It's the pizza of many people's childhoods - authentic! And the staff could not be nicer, helpful, friendly. A+”

Kebabs _looked_ 10/10 but tasted 6/10. Texture / tenderness / quality was 10/10. But felt underseasoned, not as flavorful as I'd hoped.

On the plus side though, I wasn't parched later at night (which means the kebabs weren't doused with salt/sodium, which explains the lack of flavor). So - healthy but somewhat flavorless?”

“Oct2022: 4⭐: I would recommend visiting this location if you are shopping in the location. I was in the department store shopping and came across this location. Some of my family members decided to try the specialty drinks. I got tea, they each selected a coffee of some kind. They were happy to receive the drink and enjoyed the beverage. We are on vacation in the area and selected some pastries as well. The personnel were fine during our visit. The drinks and pastries were pretty good too.”

“my usual go to starbucks on the weekends although this morning I wasn't very happy with having to wait 10-15 min for my drinks after my food order came out very quickly. the place wasn't even busy! 5 people behind the place and only one person making drinks one person taking orders one person making food orders. the other two walking around aimlessly. the barista making the drinks decided it was a good time to make himself an espresso as he started making my refreshers and when he drank it it dribbled from his mouth all over his shirt so he had to stop what he was doing to go clean up. not even a sorry about the wait after he put my drinks on the bar for pick up. also why are employees parking in the 2-hour customer parking spots, the signage suggests those are for customers only who I going to be there for 2 hours or less. considering it's a very small parking lot for customers I don't think employees should be parking there and taking up the space.”

“Updating my review:

Came back to my favorite Chinese restaurant. We ordered our usuals: West Lake beef soup, bok choy, and Yang Chow fried rice. But this time, we tried the sizzling steak with black pepper sauce. The steak was super tender, but the sauce was bland. We also ordered the double-cooked pork. This was good but not what I expected. It wasn't made of pork belly and scallions. The sauce was bland and it was not spicy and mostly cabbage. The prices had gone up, and the portions seemed smaller, although the service remains good.

Joyful Garden Chinese restaurant is indeed joyful! We were seated quickly with a pot of tea. Service was friendly, and food came out rather promptly. We started with West Lake beef soup and it was amazing! Light and delicious, I must say it’s my favorite soup.
Then, we shared an order of salt and pepper shrimp and calamari, bok choy, and Yang chow fried rice; everything was delicious! But the highlight was the pan-fried flounder; I just couldn’t get enough of it, just quite pricey for $40.95 market price. Plenty of parking and a much better option than going to Boston. I can’t wait to go back!”
