“My family was in the pizza business for many years in Philadelphia, PA where I worked every aspect of the business. I also served in the military for 23 years and have eaten at dozens of pizza places throughout our great country so I'm very confident in knowing what good pizza is all about and on Aug 30, 2026 I ate at one of the best, if not the best pizza I have ever had at a small corner joint called Angeli's in Baltimore, MD. From the light, airy dough, to the tasty marinara sauce and the high-quality mozzarella cheese all cooked to perfection I was overwhelmed with how good their pizza truly was. And to enhance our experience even more the wait staff and owner was incredibly friendly and attentive and the icing on the cake was meeting Maryann who greeted me with a warm smile and compassionate gratitude when I let her know how great their place and pizza were. Anytime I'm back in Baltimore I will always make time to get a pizza at Angeli's. 10/10 in my book!!!“

“This place still is the best in Baltimore for baked goods/ pastries. There can be a line depending on the time but it’s worth it. The staff here are so welcoming and friendly. Plenty of coffee drink options. Inside is small but they have covered seating out side so you can enjoy your treats. Most recent visit I got an almond croissant and it was amazing, definitely one of the best I’ve ever had. It was crisp and flaky chewy, right amount of sweetness with the perfect balance of almond flavor. This place is a Baltimore must stop, definitely recommend and will be back for sure.“

“I love the mamas on the half shell in Owings Mills. The food is great and I am a frequent diner. I love Mary, Alaina, and Gavin the best. They are so courteous and customer service orientated. The crab soup there and the cream of crab is to die for. Also love their coddies! The restaurant is beautiful and I also love sitting outside as well. Always seems very clean. She was familiar with the two customers in front of me. It definitely had a neighborhood friendly vibe. The shop was busy. Most of the tables on the first floor were taken up when I was there. Be sure to take a stroll up the stairs. At the top of the stairs was an adorable little spot for two people to sit and chat. The second floor has a great little area to sit and ready or study. The top floor was full of light. I ordered my usual cortado. It was a solid drink. The cortado wasn't bad but it also wasn't anything spectacular to write home about.“

The owners were incredibly kind and welcoming, making the experience even better. The decor has a nostalgic charm that took me right back to my childhood—especially the mini piano and gold telephone. Joey was absolutely fantastic - setting us up at a table with an amazing view and checking on us multiple times during our visit. He offered to take our coats after we were seated and then offered to take pictures of us when we were on our way out. Ampersea has definitely been the most positive experience we have had during our trip. I can honestly say that Joey is the sole reason we cannot wait to come back to enjoy a meal and a drink (or 2, or 3 haha) once the weather is nicer! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!“

The food was incredible — huge portions, hand-cut fries, house-made blue cheese, and perfectly hand-breaded chicken tenders. The Crab Rangoon dip and Buffalo Cauliflower were outstanding. “Three of us got some veggie sambusas (and then we ordered more of those because WOW) and the Tabor. The Special Tibbs was so great that we asked for a separate order of it in chicken (lamb, beef, or chicken). We “bothered” our waiter quite a bit and he didn’t mind a bit. He was so caring and kind. It was such a neat little spot and with music playing. Just a whole vibe. 1000% will be returning!“

“Visiting Baltimore for the weekend and stopped by Matriarch coffee.. not only was it the cutest vibes in a tiny green house but the coffee was TO DIE FOR. Ordered a simple hot caramel latte and I must have said “this is amazing” at least 5 times. Would def go out of my way to revisit this cafe!“

“After an amazing game at Camden Yards the night before, we went to Miss Shirley’s Cafe for breakfast, which came highly recommended and I can absolutely see why! Our breakfast really hit the spot, and the service was excellent, especially our server, who was so kind and attentive. The atmosphere was fun, yet upscale casual and such great energy from everyone enjoying their food. It was the perfect place to grab a delicious breakfast, mimosa and soak in the atmosphere after the game. They also offer outside seating with a beautiful view of the harbor. Definitely a spot I’d recommend and would happily visit again!“
