“Been a huge fan of Chef Jasmine Norton for several years. When our plans changed and we postponed our annual anniversary trip to Jamaica, there was no other restaurant that I wanted to have dinner in than The Urban Oyster. From the moment we walked in the door and were greeted by their warm and staff, it set the tone for the entire experience. We started off with raw oysters from Chincoteague and Canada that were flavorful and had the perfect balance of flavor and salt. I then indulged in the lobster bisque which had me wanting more but I knew I needed to save room for the main course. I selected the Seared Scallops and my husband had the Branzino. Both dishes were perfectly prepared and left us with no room for dessert. My only regret is that I didn’t take pictures for the review because we were too busy enjoying every moment! Urban Oyster, you exceeded this foodie’s expectations and we will be back soon! Thank you for making our 15th anniversary so special!“

“I love the ambiance of this place. I went for a date night and it was the perfect romantic vibe for our dinner. The staff was attentive and our food was very tasty and reasonably priced. I wish the drink menu was a little more elevated and then I would've been truly impressed. “Rusty Scupper was amazing. The goold was delicious but what really set them apart was how they went the extra mile for my parents anniversary dinner. I got my parents a gift card and made reservations, in the reservation saying it wasy parents anniversary celebration, could they give them a quiet table. They did that and so very much more. My mom can't stop talking about how incredible they were, how special she felt, how incredible the food was and how she had 3 wait staff, one in training but she had never felt so special in her life. Her excitement and joy makes me smile and I want everyone to know that Rusty Scupper could have set them in a nice table and said Happy Anniversary, that would have been great service but what they did was make an unforgettable memory for my parents. Going above and beyond, thank you Rusty Scupper staff, thank you so very much. You gave my parents an experience that is above and beyond "like something out of a movie" mom keeps saying!!!!“

“Definitely a 10/10 spot went there around 7:30 for dinner !! Food was awesome and in good prices I got a crab cake for 18$ with a 2 dollar add on for fries and coleslaw. Recommend getting there early just because wait times are crazy. Service was awesome I was there 5/21 and sitting on the first floor outside the server was amazing but sadly I can’t remember the young girls name she was tall and skinny. I have had the fried chicken, fried fish, fried liver with gravy, steamed crabs, chitterlings, home fries with onions, fried green beans, collard greens, mixed vegetables, vegetable lo mein, and fried cabbage. “Not a lot of space for much restaurant style seating, but i really enjoyed my food. The staff should work out greeting/acknowledging the customers a bit better once they first walk in and are seated, but overall they were nice. Hopefully they can continue to grow to gain another space for this venture and still maintain their catering space. My 3 person brunch party ordered lamb and grits, shrimp and grits, french toast flight, cheesesteak eggrolls, potatoes. Enjoyed it all!“

The crabs were a great size and very meaty! One thing though and it's not necessarily a bad thing either......if you're a true crab eater you know exactly what I mean. These crabs were good the first day but they were AMAZING the next day! So if you are ever having family over for crabs get them from here the day before and then heat them up(steam on the stove) for when the family comes next day they were so so good! Chris's uses great seasoning that gave the crabs great flavor that really comes through on day 2 😋. The woman who runs the front is also just a gem! Super cool lady!!“
