I’ve been to this cafe a couple of times and had great food and drinks both times. Most recently I went for Saturday brunch with a friend. I should have expected it, but the line was very long. That said, the girl at the counter was working her tail off not only talking orders but also making all of the beverages for each order (including seasonal lattes). Everyone in the kitchen seemed to be working non stop, so I give them kudos for such a delicious meal.

I got The Ian (toast with smoked salmon and poached eggs) and my friend got the OG breakfast bowl. Both were delicious and we cleaned our plates. We also both got oat milk PSL’s which were flavorful and yummy.

We sat upstairs, which was a bright and had plenty of extra seating despite the downstairs being pretty packed. We sat and talked for a while, and someone came around to ask how the meal was and take our dishes, which was nice. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly and helpful.

I didn’t order any baked goods, but I did notice they have a variety of Greek sweets as well as even some vegan baked goods. They all looked incredible, and I’ll be trying something next time.“

“I got an espresso machine for christmas and it takes very specific beans. I was asking Kira about which bean would be best, and they were so helpful. They called the boss and got all the info I needed. I told them I didn’t want to be any trouble, but they insisted and were so accommodating.
The coffee was also bomb, and came out quickly. I got the salted caramel cold brew which I highly recommend“

“This is my new favorite place to eat in Ellicott City! First of all the food is incredible. The garlic sauce we ordered as an appetizer alone would have satisfied me but the food just keep getting better. So fresh and so flavorful!! The owner introduced himself and made us feel so welcome. Their story is incredible! The ambiance was absolutely lovely. They had live musicians who were extremely talented and added a tone that was fun and enjoyable but not at all overwhelming or too loud. The service was impeccable. I cannot recommend enough! We will definitely be going back very soon!“

“I had the taro milk tea and the special bubble milk tea, 30% sweet, extra ice. Both of the drinks were absolutely incredible! They use mini boba, which I haven’t seen before but loved. The tea is amazing and, in my opinion, much better than other places in the area with higher ratings (tiger sugar, etc). I will absolutely be going back and I hope you do too!“

“I happened upon Kora Lee’s tent at the flower festival in Baltimore today…what a lucky find! I had a shrimp salad wrap that was delicious and chock full of lovely, nice sized, shrimp! So often baby shrimp are used and used sparingly… This wrap was a real treat for the taste buds! The dessert outdid the shrimp wrap! I feel like real love must go into everything made here… that’s the only way to coax the flavors to meld so beautifully! I will definitely be trying the restaurant!Amy“

“The name is very literal, it is a cafeteria inside a big business / corporate building. However, it is very tidy and clean, friendly and accommodating.We came here after looking up breakfast places on Google Maps, and it was extremely affordable and delicious. A little limited on the menu, but I think that is to be expected from a cafeteria restaurant.Come with cash, otherwise expect surcharges and minimum purchases.

The smoothie and the employees were great.I had a dentist appointment today and could not eat solid foods, So I stopped in for a smoothie. The young lady at the counter was extremely kind and helpful and patient with me, because I had no idea what I wanted. She was very helpful and very explanatory.There's a wide variety of different smoothies, fruit and non fruit, but they also serve food. They offer added supplements to their smoothies, such as energy boost, B12, probiotics, multivitamin, vital proteins collagen and the list goes on...I went in thinking I was going to get a fruit smoothie because I didn't think I would like something with peanut butter or oats or chia seed, but I left with the,Chia Banana Boost-banana, chia seeds, almonds, whole-grain oats, cinnamon, dates & coconut with choice of peanut butter or strawberries.And it was effing delicious! “Worked in adjacent building for a few years before the pandemic, and then switched jobs, and now am down the road. Starting the day with a breakfast sandwich from the Merriweather Cafe & Deli would sustain me the entire day sometimes, and the staff there are very friendly, which also adds to starting off the day nicely. I hadn't been there in a while and was glad to see they are still open. NOTE: There is no big sign on the building. There is a glass door on the first floor (by the main upper parking lot entrance) and just has a sign saying Merriweather Deli and their hours. Enjoy!

Parking: Parking in the garage is the considerate thing to do versus parking along the side of the courtyard. It isn't that much farther, and if you drive electric there are Chargepoint EV chargers there.“

In 6 years I've seen Atwater's with a great track record for hiring and training members of its team. But I'd like to credit two in particular today. Joey, the new manager settled into his role quickly just this year and is very engaging, friendly, and happy to help customers directly alongside his team. Alyssa is another fantastic worker and leader in the team. Always paying attention and focused on keeping everything in order and working efficiently. The whole team performs well. “Best food on campus, breakfast and lunch. Pre-made breakfast burritos are toasty, warm, and ENORMOUS. Not for the faint of heart (me) unless you want to be sent into a food coma (which I was) and sleep through your afternoon class (worth it). Don't even get me started on the sandwiches at lunch. I get an egg salad sandwich (hummus if they're out of egg salad) on toasted rye with all the fixings -- and I mean ALL of them. You can get a mile-high stacker that's caving in on itself for a single meal swipe here. What do you get at Chick-fil-a? A single piece of chicken on soggy bread. The service here at the Coffee Shop is amazing, too. Workers are super nice and fun to chat with. If you've just finished working out at the RAC, swing in here to cancel out all those calories you burned because you earned it, champ.

“I liked the pastries and coffee. The employees were friendly. The day I visited, the room was chilly and I had to leave my winter jacket on to keep warm. I would recommend turning up the heat and adding colorful decors as the room had no warmth. Need to make the place more about interesting by adding interesting decors with colors“
