“Amazing food, drinks and atmosphere! Our server, aptly named Angel, was terrific and made excellent suggestions. We highly recommend the ceviche sampler, lamb, steak, and Peruvian cookies. Great vibe with memorable drinks (pisco sours 4 the win). Definitely returning.“

“Amazonia is a great bar/restaurant. Daniel was a great server and recommended great veggie options. The food and drinks came out promptly with great presentation and the upstairs staff was all really friendly. Can’t say the same for the downstairs hostess who wouldn’t let me go up to Amazonia without asking her and then couldn’t find my reservation after asking me the details 3 times and not being able to pull it up. After she pulled it up she said none of my party was there even though everyone but me was there. Maybe it’s a communication thing between upstairs and downstairs but for such an expensive restaurant, the hostess shouldn’t try and fight you as you’re walking in.“

“Delicious food and excellent service! The ‘Ceviche Clásico’ which is offered with the fish of the day is deliciously and freshly prepared. I also recommend the ‘Concolón’: a crispy fried rice pot which is prepared table side…very tasty! We capped our lunch off with the ‘Suspiro Limeña’ for dessert and some Pisco Sours to drink. All delicious.“

“Delicious food. Fast and friendly service. Great prices. Portions are generous. We typically get the whole chicken with 3 sides and it's enough for two people to have dinner and leftovers for lunch the next day. Perfect for busy weeknights. We were devastated when Huacatay closed, but we're very relieved that once again there is top notch chicken again. Highly recommend.“

“Bar tenders were delightful, the view of the Capitol at night was spectacular and the food was so good I went back the following night to eat the same thing again! Chef stopped at the tables to check on his guests and thank them for coming!“

“I’ve been eating here since I was 8 and every time I return to DC this is my first stop. No other chicken place compares. I dream about the dark meat + white sauce + Inca cola combo and would gladly have it for my last meal on earth. Beyond grateful for this epic institution ?“

“While I haven't visited this restaurant in-person, my orders through GrubHub have been on point!! The chicken is flavorful and seasoned well, and juicy. The sides are filling and are also very good. I got the brussel sprouts and fries. The brussel sprouts are coated with a carmelized type of ingredient that packs a big much. The only negative about them is that they are usually pretty big which makes it hard to eat them whole like normal sized ones, so keep a knife handy to cut them smaller. The fries were also very good. I must say the sauces are probably the best I've had out of all similar chicken spots, especially the green sauce!! Oh my, my, my!!! I just had them for lunch today and I'm really contemplating on ordering them for dinner - they are just that good!“

“BEST FOOD of our entire visit. I don't care how far away you are, this is worth the drive, the uber, the taxi, whatever. The flavors are unlike anything else you can find and the thought of this restaurant makes me hungry all over again. If I were to only eat at one place for the rest of my life it would be this one. Call it hyperbole, but eat there and tell me that I'm wrong. You're gonna look at me and tell me that I'm wrong?? She came down in bubble, Doug. Grow up. And please try this.“

“For flavor, friendly staff, and down to earth settings, El Fuego is worth a visit. I’ve been going there for about 4 years now and always have a great experience. It’s a small place with limited seating but if you’re with family or friends you’ll enjoy. The setting is very laid back so go for the food. You’ll be glad you did. This time I tried the pollo tallarin saltado while my wife had the arroz con pollo. All very good.“

“This is still the best place in Beltsville to eat, and the best rotisserie chicken by far. The dining area could use some sound deadening material. The alfajores used to be melt-in-your-mouth delicious. They're still good, but not like they used to be.Go, eat. You won't be disappointed.“

“I visited Chicken + Whiskey for the first time recently after hearing great things about it for years. I don't know why it's taken me this long to visit. The 14th St location has a fast casual chicken spot in the front and a "hidden" whiskey bar in the back, behind a commercial freezer door. I visited for happy hour on a Friday at 5 PM and we were the first people there. We enjoyed the cocktails and food, especially with the happy hour discount. Happy hour runs Mon-Fri, 5-7 PM and includes $2 off all beers and arepas, $3 off all cocktails and sanguiches/wraps, $9 pisco punch, and $15 beer + wings combo. We had the Pisco Punch, Squash It, and Sweater Weather cocktails which were all tasty and $9/$10 on happy hour. We got the wings and beer combo and the Borracho Wrap, recommended by the bartender. The wings were good if a little dry, and actually came with all 3 sauces on the side. The wrap ($10.25 on HH) was excellent, the perfect balance of textures and flavors. Very impressed. Service was quick and friendly. Overall, we had good experience, but there are a couple opportunities to improve. The cocktails were clearly fall cocktails and out of season now that it's April. The beer + wings combo was a bit disappointing because it was only for the Tecate beer (not any beer). The 3.75% surcharge is also unwelcome. Finally, for a first timer, the food/drinks situation was a little confusing. Before visiting, we thought we would be able to order from the full menu at the back bar, but it actually has a limited food menu. Then, the door to the bar has a sign saying you can't take food and drinks back and forth between the front chicken shop and back bar, which gave us pause. The happy hour menu mentions a discount on "sanguiches" but the main drinks/food menu doesn't use this term. And while the menu design is very stylish, it's also very busy and a little hard to fully read and parse.“

“The food is tasty and always serviced with a smile. I've been here for take out and the staff is always friendly. Sometimes I'll wait for a few minutes while they cook my food and it's always a joy to watch them. They recently started a chicken and side special on Wednesday night that I look forward to. It's a great way to get some delicious chicken without getting the whole bird.“

“Been here dozens of times over the years. And the rumors are true. Easily the best pollo a la brasa place in the area. Chicken and sauces are reliably excellent and very reasonably priced. Feeding a family of four with room to spare for $22 is something you can't even do at McDonalds these days. Sides are limited in variety, but they're ok. Only gripe is the fried yuca is often chewy, hard, and/or dry. But skip that menu item, and you'll be fine.“

“I recently visited Sardi's Pollo A La Brasa in Capitol Heights, MD, and I must say, their rotisserie chicken is exceptional. The chicken is perfectly seasoned, boasting a crispy skin outside and tender, juicy meat inside. It's no wonder the restaurant has garnered an impressive **4.5-star rating** from numerous satisfied customers. The portions are generous, ensuring you get great value for your money. And it's not just the chicken that's delicious – the plantains and the green sauce complement the meal wonderfully, adding to the overall flavor profile. While some diners have mentioned the service can be a bit slow during peak hours, and a few have noted the dishes can be a tad salty, these minor points don't detract from the overall high-quality dining experience.Sardi's is open daily from 11:00 AM to 9:30 PM, which is convenient for both lunch and dinner plans. Whether you're looking for a quick bite or a leisurely meal, this spot has you covered. Just remember to consider the salt content if you're watching your sodium intake, and maybe plan around the busy times if you're in a rush. Overall, Sardi's Pollo A La Brasa is a must-visit for anyone craving flavorful Peruvian cuisine in Capitol Heights.“

“The chicken was very juicy. The customer service was great. It was our first time ordering there and the lady at the cash register was super helpful. We got the fried rice, beans, yucca, coleslaw and fries (as it was a big order) and it was all very good. The portions are a little small just an fyi so may be best for less than 5 people if buying for a family like we did this time.“

“After an ISACA-GWDC event at Amazon Events Center, a group of attendees had happy hour/dinner at Peruvian Brothers. Most of us sat at the bar with overflow to the tables. Michael and other staff were friendly, hospitable, and efficient. My fiancé enjoyed the Chilcano cocktail, a pisco cocktail made with ginger ale and lime juice, and a Yuengling Lager. I enjoyed a Maracuya Pisco Sour Slushie, a passion fruit flavored frozen pisco sour,Pisco Punch, a pisco cocktail made with pineapple juice and lemon juice, and Sangria made with red wine, cognac, and orange juice. All of the cocktails were fruity and refreshing. While waiting for our food, we were given a small bucket of peruvian popcorn. My fiancé and I shared an order of crispy Calamari served with an aioli. Between the Lomo Saltado with Tallarin (Noodles) and Lomo Saltado with Rice and French Fries, we liked the latter more. Other people in our party enjoyed Cheese Empanadas, various sandwiches (including Chicarron Sandwich and Triple Sandwich), Chicken, and Yuca Fries.Vegetarian options: Cheese, Spinach & Cheese, or Impossible Beef Empanadas, Triple Sandwich, Vegetable Saltado, All Sides, All Desserts“

“Tiny rotisserie chicken shop in a good location. There’s even a few tables outside on a cute patio. The food was delicious, can’t recommend the plantains enough. We placed a to go order in person and had had our food in less than 2 minutes. After a 5 minute walk the food was still steaming hot and super fresh when we got home. And the pricing is some of the best in the area. The staff all seemed super friendly. This is a new repeat spot for a quick and tasty weeknight meal.“

“I love Don Pollo! I seem to live really close to one every time I move Their Peruvian chicken is just sooo tasty and you can smell just how good it tastes from the moment you step through the door. The staff greeted me when I walked in and took my order right away. I didn't have to wait long for my order. I ordered their Half chicken with two sides. My two sides were Chaufa rice and plantains! While the sides were really good, The star of the show, without a doubt, is their Peruvian chicken. Marinated to perfection with a blend of Peruvian spices and slow-roasted to achieve that golden, crispy skin while keeping the meat juicy and flavorful. Portion sizes are generous! I ate this meal for dinner and then lunch the next day! This location also has parking right out front and you can sit inside to eat if you want. They have small tables that are minimally decorated. Overall, will be back here again!“
