She was familiar with the two customers in front of me. It definitely had a neighborhood friendly vibe. The shop was busy. Most of the tables on the first floor were taken up when I was there. Be sure to take a stroll up the stairs. At the top of the stairs was an adorable little spot for two people to sit and chat. The second floor has a great little area to sit and ready or study. The top floor was full of light. I ordered my usual cortado. It was a solid drink. The cortado wasn't bad but it also wasn't anything spectacular to write home about.“

“Really friendly staff at this lovely small coffee shop with a nice large counter to drink your coffee or enjoy your pastry there. I tried the horchata with espresso and really loved the balance and warming flavor of cinnamon even as an iced drink. The chocolate croissant I had was also really good.“

You’re able to put whatever you want inside your crepe or on top your waffle! The staff includes the owner Irina and her son Paul, they are super nice and love seeing new customers! This spot is definitely somewhere I’d take you for breakfast!“

We went out wanting a mid day drink and to pick up some great third-wave beans!

The latte was well balanced with perfect foam!

We asked the baristas who recommended this blend for a funky and unique home experience

The biscotti was fresh with still a good crunch. Both of us remarked how delicious!

It did not disappoint. High quality beans with funky notes.

Perhaps the best feature was the atmosphere: a great spot to do work, catch up with friends, or just have an outstanding coffee.

Looking forward to our next bag!

“Karen is an amazing baker. She saved the day after we were let down for our wedding cake. She delivered a beautiful 3 tiered cake. The flavours were a delicious lemon with lemon curd, vanilla and raspberry and chocolate biscuit cake. All our guests were raving about it. Couldn't recommend her enough 😊💕“

“The coffee is rich and bold. I believe they have house-made syrups which I love to see. The barista and service is excellent. Everyone, especially the gentleman who takes your order is so friendly and welcoming. The cinnamon roll was nice and doughy. A perfect place to get some work done or socialize. “When we lived in Maryland I bought all of our coffee from High Grounds. I have now moved to Georgia and wouldn't consider changing my coffee source. The main reason that one would go to a coffee roaster for the 2nd, 3rd or 99th time would be for the quality of the coffee, and any one who would rate High Grounds less than 5 star“

“Ordered two pies for delivery after seeing pics of a charred sourdough crust on Reddit. It’s a bakery so of course the crust is GOATd. The pizzas are huge and the Peruvian chicken one really stood out. Juicy, smoky, earthy with a fruity spiciness. Truly top tier stuff from Baltoz.

Only complaint is that they don’t sell any of those bomb as pastries for delivery. To be fair, many of their pastries look delicately laminated (very flaky, buttery, crispy) so they might not survive the trip with a Baltimore driver behind the wheel. I’d still risk it though 😂😂😂“

“We are in town for the National ProStart Invitational. We brought our students in and the visit was amazing. The products were beautiful and wonderfully made. Each of our students left with something. As someone who works in the industry and has a focus in baking and pastries it is top notch!“

“Common ground is a great place that is employee-owned and I like to support. Their jalapeno cheddar biscuit is a Divine thing.

The only reason I don't give it five stars for service in atmosphere is because it is so popular sometimes even something simple will take 10 minutes. That's really just a testament how much people love the place“

Joey, the new manager settled into his role quickly just this year and is very engaging, friendly, and happy to help customers directly alongside his team. Alyssa is another fantastic worker and leader in the team. Always paying attention and focused on keeping everything in order and working efficiently. The whole team performs well. “We were a large group that came in from out of state for the Goya tournament held at St Nicholas. The food was delicious, authentic Greek, and the portions were huge. We are thankful to the owners who accommodated our large group. If you want a cozy Greek restaurant with great Greek food you definitely want to try this place out!
