“So many folks have been drawn to the new kid on the block, Koma Café, but don’t forget about the welcoming, delicious and expansive Mansa Kunda at the corner of Flower and Erie Aves. There is plenty of interesting space to enjoy a meal, a quiet afternoon coffee or a friendly drink. You can even sit on a chair made from a traditional West African drum. There couldn’t be a more gracious host than Hatib who serves brunch in addition to lunch and dinner. This morning he welcomed five of us for a 10:00am feast, first asking if there was anything we didn’t eat (meat for the most part) but yes to eggs. We trusted him to surprise us and indeed he did. The veggie omelets were tender, whole wheat rolls still warm, the home fries crunchy and rich and the Brussel sprouts delicious. There were small coconut fritters, lightly fried and dusted with powdered sugar. So tasty! The brunch menu at Mansa Kunda includes familiar favorites like blueberry pancakes in addition to traditional West African dishes. Peanut butter chu anyone? It’s open from 10:00am to 9:00pm every day with Happy Hour from 4:00 to 7:00. Hatib is also an excellent baker so the sweets are a treat. We’re very lucky to have Mansa Kunda in the neighborhood. If you haven’t been there already, you’ll find something special to enjoy.“

“I dont know where and how to start, but i will try. First of all, it was my first time in a Senegalese restaurant , I have a lot of family members that are Senegalese so I KNOW AUTHENTIC SENEGALESE FOOD. I dont ever entertain conversations where Nigerians and Ghanaians are fighting to know which one has the best jolof because to me it is nonsense as the Senegalese people are the inventors and creator of it.
Anyway back to this restaurant, This is the best West African restaurant I have ever visited in northeastern America! The BEST! Don’t @ me or anything. I am not debating. My wife had the dibi chicken with jolof rice and I had beef suya with plantains. It finished with 12 minutes and keep in mind that each portions are enough for 2 people. The plantains/ alloco was cooked perfectly, the rice was AUTHENTIC, the chicken was flavorfully sophisticatedly delicious! The decor was is great, the ambiance is charming, the staff and owners are awesome . Everything is great about this place. Order before tho, it can take up to 45 minutes if it’s really busy but believe it is worth the wait! Also they have the best baobab juice outside of Africa. I chugged 2 ! I loved every bit of my visit . This is officially my favorite African Restaurant on the east coast. I have yet to see another do something like this !
Thank you for representing west African food ! You guys are making us proud“

“Really delicious Ivorian food -- grilled red snapper, stews, and jollof. I love the little curries that came with our dishes. But honestly the fresh ginger juice was seriously the best ginger drink I've had anywhere. We're going back to just pick that stuff up and sip and restore life to our eyes. Friendly folks too :)“

“Really cool store that has a lot of Senegalese items around for sale. The food was perfect it was my first time having west African food and I really liked how Smokey and barbequey the food was. I got the large lamb platter and they really packed on the rice and lamb, it was really delicious and the onions were particularly good. The lamb wasn’t gamey at all and had a great taste and chew. The turn around time on the order was quick as well and very friendly staff.“

“Listen, I am a girl, and this was one of the best experiences I've had. If you've read the other comments, everyone has been taking out and having horrible experiences, while I dined in and had my best meal! I ordered jollof rice. Amazing. Fish. Awfully good.“

“Great Late-Night Find with Excellent Service!
I ordered from Beyond Suya at their kiosk, and I was genuinely impressed. The staff was so nice, patient, and super communicative throughout the entire process. Even though it wasn’t a dine-in experience, they made sure everything went smoothly and made me feel like a valued customer.
The food was absolutely delicious – full of flavor and clearly made with care. What really stood out, aside from the amazing service, is that they’re open late! If you’re looking for something tasty and satisfying to eat late at night, Beyond Suya is a perfect go-to. I’ll definitely be back again soon. Highly recommend!“
“Delicious meal. This woman Joan can cook. Everything was cooked to perfection, tender tasty. I ordered Egusi soup!!! She was kind and had great service too. It’s also one of the less expensive places I’ve seen. I’ll be gone my back today.“

“Looking for authentic Ghanaian cuisine in Maryland near Beltsville? Look no further than Cape Coast Cuisine!
Whether you're Ghanaian, African, or simply a lover of delicious food, this is the perfect spot to enjoy a true taste of Ghana right here in Beltville Maryland, U.S.
One of the highlights is their mini buffet section, where you can mix and match your favorites - from Jollof rice, Waakye, and plain rice to a variety of tasty sides. The best part? You're free to create any combination you like, and the portions are generous. No restrictions, just good food 😋.
I can’t write this review without giving a special shoutout to my favorite Ghanaian dish: Kelewele. Cape Coast Cuisine’s version is 99.9999% as delicious as what you'd find in Ghana — spicy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. 😋
And of course, a warm thank you to Auntie Monitor, whose friendliness and hospitality perfectly reflect the welcoming spirit of the Ghanaian people.
I’ll be coming back again, and again, and again.“
