“Candace is Superstar! I’m visiting in town with friends from all over, and my Ugandan friend after one taste, “this reminds me of home”. If you looking for quick bite, and/or dine in. This is the spot to go to for authentic African food and genuine connection. We definitely will be back while in town!“

“The food is spectacular and is just about as authentic as you're going to get outside of Senegal. I highly recommend the (red) thieboudienne when they have it available. It's a little on the pricier side, but the portion sizes are very big and I got 2 complete meals out of one single order.“

“really good, quality food and service at very fair prices- TJ (owner) was fantastic and takes care of each customer like they were his own family/friend. the suya, goat, fish, and plantains were all perfectly prepared and delicious. definitely highly recommend this spot not just for quality but also level of service from the owner/staff - A++ / 10 out of 10! *and they just got their liquor license as well!“

“The food was really good and the waiter was very attentive. I forgot the name of the appetizer but it was a shrimp, avocado combo that was served with bread. DELICIOUS. We also had yam chips served with a mayonnaise based sauce. They were seasoned differently than what I am used to (which is just salt) but it tasted amazing! The main meal was snapper with jollof rice and fried plantain. 10s across the board would highly recommend.“

“Love this place. Walk in the door and immediately to the right is Lawd Shawarma! A wonderfully warm meal of fish & eggs with vegan bread and Christmas-spiced Sorrel / Hibiscus drink. No matter what they call the next respiratory illness, no matter if you need to starve a flu or feed a cold. Problem solved for me. Lawd! I thank you.“

“Succulent and varieties of Senegalese meals to eat“
“I stopped by Bros J Suya and ordered a $10 plate of suya.
Overall, the food was good and I'll definitely be back.
🍖 The Food
The dry suya seasoning was excellent—very flavorful and probably the best part of the meal. The meat itself was good, and the portion size was fair for the price.
The sauce was decent, but I think it could use more seasoning and definitely more heat. I like my suya with a stronger, spicier kick.
⏱ The Downside
My biggest complaint was the wait time. It took a while for what was essentially a simple $10 plate of suya. What confused me even more was that I ate it immediately after getting into the car, and it was already cold. I was expecting it to be hot and fresh considering the wait.
📝 Final Thoughts
Even with those issues, I enjoyed the food enough to come back. I'm actually planning to order a tray for an upcoming party, and I also want to try their fish and rice dishes.
For comparison, I usually go to Project Suya. I think Project Suya's sauce is a little better, but Bros J Suya is still solid.
If I had to rate them:
Bros J Suya: 8/10
Project Suya: 8.7/10
I still haven't found a perfect 10/10 suya spot in the DMV, but the search continues. If anyone knows a hidden gem, let me know!“

“One of the BEST Egusi I've ever had. I was pregnant and Ms. Bangura (owner) was so kind enough to have my special order ready for me on almost a nightly basis. For whatever reason, my craving was egusi and it started with just single orders every other night to ordering pans of egusi with a side of pounded yam.
My husband would do pickups for me and he said it was always easy to place and order. She has a waiting area inside and a small grocery for your quick grabs while you wait.
Parking is nice and the customer service is top tier.
I still visit often and Will be coming back soon!“

“Great Late-Night Find with Excellent Service!
I ordered from Beyond Suya at their kiosk, and I was genuinely impressed. The staff was so nice, patient, and super communicative throughout the entire process. Even though it wasn’t a dine-in experience, they made sure everything went smoothly and made me feel like a valued customer.
The food was absolutely delicious – full of flavor and clearly made with care. What really stood out, aside from the amazing service, is that they’re open late! If you’re looking for something tasty and satisfying to eat late at night, Beyond Suya is a perfect go-to. I’ll definitely be back again soon. Highly recommend!“

“They're food is the best, I love the egunsi soup and the jollof rice. Clean environment and great service also. In fact, anytime I decided not to cook, it's only going to be their food cos I have tried like 3 other African restaurants in the area, none meet up to their standards.“

“Looking for authentic Ghanaian cuisine in Maryland near Beltsville? Look no further than Cape Coast Cuisine!
Whether you're Ghanaian, African, or simply a lover of delicious food, this is the perfect spot to enjoy a true taste of Ghana right here in Beltville Maryland, U.S.
One of the highlights is their mini buffet section, where you can mix and match your favorites - from Jollof rice, Waakye, and plain rice to a variety of tasty sides. The best part? You're free to create any combination you like, and the portions are generous. No restrictions, just good food 😋.
I can’t write this review without giving a special shoutout to my favorite Ghanaian dish: Kelewele. Cape Coast Cuisine’s version is 99.9999% as delicious as what you'd find in Ghana — spicy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. 😋
And of course, a warm thank you to Auntie Monitor, whose friendliness and hospitality perfectly reflect the welcoming spirit of the Ghanaian people.
I’ll be coming back again, and again, and again.“
