As it goes, chicken restaurants are usually overhyped by people who don’t know how to cook and/or have inferior palate. We have witnessed this many times: Chick Fila, for example.The chicken dishes are not bad considering that it is a chain. But the piri piri sauces they serve are sub par. All flavors taste the same. The chicken was good. I think he gave us an extra piece (leftover?) and perhaps that's why we had so much. The Brussels Sprouts was the star of the place - sweet and savory, delicious. 5 stars! “I visited Chicken + Whiskey for the first time recently after hearing great things about it for years. I don't know why it's taken me this long to visit. The 14th St location has a fast casual chicken spot in the front and a "hidden" whiskey bar in the back, behind a commercial freezer door. I visited for happy hour on a Friday at 5 PM and we were the first people there. We enjoyed the cocktails and food, especially with the happy hour discount. Happy hour runs Mon-Fri, 5-7 PM and includes $2 off all beers and arepas, $3 off all cocktails and sanguiches/wraps, $9 pisco punch, and $15 beer + wings combo. We had the Pisco Punch, Squash It, and Sweater Weather cocktails which were all tasty and $9/$10 on happy hour. We got the wings and beer combo and the Borracho Wrap, recommended by the bartender. The wings were good if a little dry, and actually came with all 3 sauces on the side. The wrap ($10.25 on HH) was excellent, the perfect balance of textures and flavors. Very impressed. Service was quick and friendly. Overall, we had good experience, but there are a couple opportunities to improve. The cocktails were clearly fall cocktails and out of season now that it's April. The beer + wings combo was a bit disappointing because it was only for the Tecate beer (not any beer). The 3.75% surcharge is also unwelcome. Finally, for a first timer, the food/drinks situation was a little confusing. Before visiting, we thought we would be able to order from the full menu at the back bar, but it actually has a limited food menu. Then, the door to the bar has a sign saying you can't take food and drinks back and forth between the front chicken shop and back bar, which gave us pause. The happy hour menu mentions a discount on "sanguiches" but the main drinks/food menu doesn't use this term. And while the menu design is very stylish, it's also very busy and a little hard to fully read and parse.“

If you are afraid of spice I think the Hot Boy spice level is not too spicy at all! Just be warned it is a play off of nashville hot chicken sandwiches so the sandwiches are wetter than your average chicken sandwich. The Taj ma hot and the Hot Boy deluxe-club sandwich are my go to orders, the Ube coffee is a nice creamy sweet treat as well. “Dining at shababi was an absolute delight. I came to celebrate after I finished taking my board exams and I couldn’t have chosen a better place. To start they brought some hummus topped with shredded beef and beat spread, which the former was my favorite. They later brought the roasted chicken which had been marinated for 48 hours plus. Every bite was so flavorful. As this is a pop up I recommend you go soon and get a feel for Palestinian food“

I liked the spicy kick of the Nashville sandwich that I may attempt the next spicy level. The mild honey butter sandwich is great for people who cannot handle spicy food. The rooster sauce is a free add-on on the side that was good as well. Tip: it may be a little messy so grab napkins.Tables: there are plentiful tables that were clean. The facility workers come around to tidy up the area, but don’t forget to clean up after yourself as well.Restrooms: clean public restroom with water fountains located right outside.Wheelchair accessibility: Push open doors that actually work. I got the following: The new Crispy Chicken Sandwich with Bacon and Cheese, Side of Jollibee Spaghetti, Yumburger With Cheese, Ube Pie Dessert Their chicken sandwiches are always a great way of taking the flavor from the Chickenjoy and putting it in a sandwich. Nice juicy and tender breast of chicken, nicely fried with their crispy exterior and savory seasonings, plus the addition of mayo and their amazing bun, it's delicious! Plus the addition of bacon and cheese in this item can only help make it better. The Yumburger with Cheese is a guilty pleasure of mine, I always love the flavors of the sauce and the softness of the bun + meat patty. Their meat patty isn't like other traditional fast food burgers, it's prepared in a different way and the meat is more tender and condensed, giving it a different texture. I just wish the solo Yumburger wasn't so pricey for how small of a sandwich it is. Lastly, the Ube Pie Dessert, as with all of their pies, was fantastic. Deliciously sweet ube filling, nice crispy and flakey pie crust, it's a great combination. Overall I love the flavors of Jollibee every time I come here, the prices are a bit on the higher side, but as it's a chain there isn't much that could be done about that. Service is friendly and efficient with the long lunch rushes, and the restaurant ambiance is always cute and appealing with their Jollibee mascot statues and posters around the establishment!“

The food is affordable, quick but fresh, so hot & delicious in every bite, plenty in every plate and as a family we are appreciative if we can check all those boxes! You can order online to pickup. Atmosphere is clean and spacious. The seating is a little uncomfortable with wood benches or chairs, but no cushions and a little hard for the kids to eat over their plates but not a major concern. I was a little disappointed in their beverage selection. Horchata/tamarindo juices seemed to be from a mix and was "syrup-y sweet". Fridge drinks, lots of standard soda and high fructose options. Would be nice to have some more natural options. We appreciate the cold and tasty free water dispenser - so that makes up for it! :) Thank you pollo central for saving lunch AND dinner!“
