“Seven of us college pals from 45 years ago were in DC for a three day weekend. We booked a table at Bulldogs knowing that large parties can be tough to seat without a reservation. Being UGA grads, "Bulldogs" seemed like the perfect place to have dinner after a full day of walking around DC. While we were expecting it to be a bit larger, there was a table reserved for us and we had a blast. Made it in time for happy hour specials which we ordered with vigor. Four different pizzas (thin crust !) which all were good and we did not leave any slice behind. MO, our waiter and maybe the bartender also was attentive and did not show any regrets for having admitted us (ha!). The 15% off for Open Table booking was applied which made the the night even better. While the decor and ambience is not quite what other Open Table establishments might be, it was the perfect place for us. NOTE...dining is up a flight of stairs so caution to anyone not able to climb stairs.“

“Food is really good. Good German style plates. Service was impeccable. The staff was very attentive and helpful. The atmosphere is extremely loud. It was, however, a Friday night and was a bar scene. If you like a good bar, that's a little loud, this is the place for you. If you want a bar/restaurant that you can talk at, don't go here on Friday.“

The news of Sports & Social opening in D.C. had us thrilled—and it delivers the authentic upstate New York food experience we hoped for. We had the wings which are nothing short of amazing—crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and the medium heat sauce is fantastic. The beef on weck has the perfect weck roll, fresh and made daily in DC. The meat is from another of our D.C. favorites, 2Fifty Barbeque. One of the best weck sandwiches I've had. The vibe is welcoming, the service is fantastic, and the food is a game-changer. We will be returning this week.“

“Went to Mixxed DC for Saturday brunch with a party of six, and overall it was a great experience. First off, love that it's Black-owned and has a dope graffiti-style vibe inside. I was originally supposed to go in August, and they were super accommodating with rescheduling.
We were seated right away and opted for the unlimited mimosa special ($50), which includes one entrée. Just a heads up: everyone at your table has to participate in the special to get it, which was a little frustrating since one of us doesn't drink. Thankfully, they made an exception and let him do unlimited mocktails so we could all still enjoy the deal.
Since we had six people, they gave us three pitchers, and those mimosas were hittin! Highly recommend trying the peach flavor. We definitely left brunch very tipsy lol.
For food, I had the Biscoff pancakes, which were rich and tasty--7/10. Only thing I'd change is how the cookie butter was only on the top pancake; I would've loved it layered throughout. They came with fresh fruit and I added a side of scrambled eggs.
I also got to try the shrimp and grits which was definitely a standout! 9/10. So flavorful!
We added a hookah to our experience (separate from food, around $40), and it was a fun touch. The DJ came in during the middle of our brunch and turned it up with 90s/2000s rap and R&B, had the whole place vibing.
Service was great, staff was friendly and helpful the whole time. I'd absolutely recommend Mixxed for a fun brunch outing with friends. Just make sure your whole crew is ready for bottomless!“

“Burger is a burger is a burger. It’s what I need it to be! Food and drink and friends. This is a great local place to bring your loved ones.
Edit - My one qualm is that one time, my partner ordered a burger and while two of our burgers came out, he had to wait nearly 45 minutes for his. I’m still going to come back, but that was a bit surprising and disappointing and I hope that doesn’t happen again! I really like the atmosphere!“

“Illusions is a must dine restaurant!!! I ordered shrimp and grits and catfish and grits!!!!!! After traveling to Pennsylvania and warming up my food……it was outstanding!! Being able to travel with seafood and grits for nearly 3hrs. This along with the flavor, portion size is just outstanding! My mom and I didn't want to finish it all so we saved half for the next day! And it was still sooooo good! The ONLY issue we only had a little bit left! So not only am I’m going back I’m going back asap!!! 5***** food!!!! So sorry I forgot to take pictures

“I came here to get some drinks for my birthday with a bigger party of about 12 people on a Saturday night. My wife called ahead and they were extremely friendly and accommodating, they allowed us to reserve some tables for our party and didn't ask for anything in return. Everyone from the bartender, the bouncer, and everyone who works here was extremely nice. I cannot recommend jackpot enough! You really made my birthday feel so special and I really appreciate you all!“

“I am here for a conference. I had just gone on a 2.5 hour walk to /exploration of memorial park & was absolutely exhausted and wanted something in the hotel that I could take up to my room. I walked in, there were no tables in sight. Super busy. I ran into one waiter, Francis/Francisco, he personally brought me to the point of sale to put in my to-go order and told me to come back and ask for him. They had it ready in 30 minutes (a quick waiting time for how busy it was), and it was amazing. Francis was so sweet. I can’t thank him enough!!“

“Had a great experience. The staff was helpful as my partner, Rufus, and I have never bet in person before and needed help. We got our bets placed with the staff's help and then walked right into the Nats game and our lizzles kept winning all night.

“I went to Buddy's for the first time this weekend on a sunday and it was a great time! The food was 10 out of 10 - we got jerk wings, potato hash with poached eggs, avocado toast, ribs and their special fried catfish. Everything tasted amazing, great seasoning and great service. The vibes were chill and low key (sunday afternoon brunch) they had a great playlist of music. I will definitely be going back and recommend checking it out!“
