“My daughter and son-in-law brought us to the Bayard House over the Christmas holidays 2024, and we were impressed-with the food, the service, the atmosphere, and the views! We wanted to do something special for our Army Captain daughter, Noella Rogers, when she promoted to Major yesterday. Remembering how much she and her husband, Jeff, love Bayard House, we called about getting a gift card. Chris Amon, (not sure of the spelling), Assistant General Manager, answered. When he told me that we'd have to come in and purchase it, I told him that we lived in Texas, so that wouldn't be possible. I was about to hang up, but Chris asked where my daughter lives. When I told him, he said that he lived close to her town and volunteered to hand-deliver it! Wow! He didn't have to do that! Not only did he hand-deliver it this morning, April 24th, he bought and placed it inside a card for her. Talk about going above the call of duty! Bayard House, hang onto Chris because that guy is gold! Everyone else, if you haven't tried it out yet, go get you something wonderful to eat at Bayard House! Chris, we look forward to thanking you in person the next time we come to Maryland for a visit!“

I took the "large crab cake" home "hoping" she would like it. She Loved it. When they say Large chunks of crab meat they mean LARGE. Their restaurant is very clean and comfortable. “Was in town with 2 friends for Motor Trends Drag Week visit to Cecil County Dragway tomorrow 9/18/25. This was my first time visiting the Crab House but my friends were coming for 20+ years. Our server was Kayla and I believe it was her 1st night serving by herself. Kayla did an excellent job and should be a great addition to your team. Now let me also say my food was excellent. The shrimp in the shrimp cocktail were HUGE, the hush puppies were awesome especially with that honey butter. My ribeye steak special was so tender and my crabcake was phenomenal with what seemed like ZERO filler. I definitely would suggest Crab House to anyone.“

“We've aways gotten a good meal here and service is always pretty fast.
The description on Google says Italian but although they do serve some Italian , there are plenty or regular sea food and American meals as well. This time my husband had a fried oyster sandwhich with a bowl of crab bisque soup and I had crab cake sandwhich with a cup of crab bisque. All was very yummy. We ordered our desert to take home and it was so delicious.... carrot cake and peanut butter pie with a generous amount of chocolate . I was so full but my taste buds just wouldnt let me stop!“

“Capt’n Chucky’s is amazing! The owners are caring, helpful and motivated. The food is delicious! Hard to choose a favorite between their crab cakes, the shrimp salad or their scallops! Just writing this review is making me hungry!I do not live in DE but was in town visiting friends when I was given the chance to stop here on the way to the beach. I am looking forward to getting a chance to visit again just to get my hands on some of this mouthwatering seafood!“
