“One of the only real “hole in the wall” places left in DC, you will NEVER find a better Italian sub than what you can grab here, but the G Man is the real star. The hard roll is the way to go, but they do offer soft rolls as well. Just a wonderful, family-owned no frills sandwich shop, an institution in rapidly changing DC.“
“Came here for a date night as it had been on our list for a while --we were told the wings here were yum and they did not disappoint. We enjoyed them so much I forgot to take a picture lol. Crispy and really great sauce. Now the sandwiches --wow! I'm not usually a sandwich person but these really hit the spot. Shoutout to the bartender for giving us suggestions. It gets busy (even on a week night) so just expect some wait or limited seating.“
“Just got back from this place. Met an old buddy for lunch and he *loves* eating here. It’s kinda a hole in the wall but once inside you see how busy it is and how large their menu is.What you don’t see is how polite and friendly the staff is and just how good the food is. I got a chicken salad sandwich, The Robyn's Choice”. It was wonderful. With chips and a sweet tea on the side? Yeah. It’s all freshly-made and delicious.I’m not in the area very often but when I am I now have a go-to place for lunch. Really happy about that.“
“Been going to other places nearby this restaurant and never knew it was there. GREAT place! My kids enjoyed their special lunch at a new restaurant! No Gluten-free option for sandwiches, but they do have Gluten-free chips and drinks. Excellent Find! We highly recommend!“
“Was craving me an Italian and been wanting to try this place for a while. Run don’t walk here! Delicious food at a reasonable price (cash only). The owner is from Philly so you know it’s legit! Friendly staff and fast and efficient service. Will most definitely be back to support this black owned business.“
“Earl's is a great sandwich shop with a good selection of sandwiches. My Turkey Ruben had a great flavor and was a good portion. Not a lot of sitting room, with only one booth and the rest of the seats counter style along the wall and window. Definitely worth the visit.“
“If you're in College Park and craving a mouthwatering sandwich, Subway is the spot to hit up.The employees are super nice especially Mr Martin, the superstar behind the counter. His customer service is top-notch, and the sandwiches are delish. You gotta check it out – it's a perfect 10/10!“
“Weird location, but I'm here for finding parking, LOTS of parking options!! Nice little courtyard area. CLEAN. Indoor & outdoor seating available. Today, I had to have their signature London Broil. The bun is perfection. The saffron tomato soup is unique & not something I've thought to add to tomato soup. It's really lovely. I can't wait to try more items!!“
“I had ordered this via door dash and when I say the subs were so good my husband and I really enjoyed them! The bread was just right didn’t get soggy the sub wasn’t sloppy and everything taste so fresh! So happy to know this is blackOwned!“
“Delicious breakfast blt and pastries. Generously sized blt. Excellent, speedy service. Great atmosphere for a quick bite or to study. The sweeter, more elaborate coffee options and horchata looked very tempting. I'll have to try them next time.“
“Definitely go early! The crispy potato egg and cheese sandwich was so good. The bread was soft and the cheese was perfectly melted! Highly recommend although they do get busy, so get there as close to opening as possible.Vegetarian options: Potato and vegan sausage“
“It was an online order for an executive staff member. I caught an Uber and by the time I got there, the restaurant was closed. It was a little delay retrieving my food. I spent $30 on an Uber so I wasn't leaving without the order lol.“
“A staple location for Vietnamese sandwiches. Amazing quality, generous portion, and extremely quick service. They have a Buy 10 Get the 11th one free” deal. Only down side is the high service fee if you choose to pay by card (35¢ per $10).“
“My beautiful grandson is in the NICU at the Children’s Hospital. Today as my daughter, her husband and grandmother arrived they were greeted with a delicious box lunch from your establishment. We’re not sure of the organization that gifted us this lunch so we say THANK YOU!“
“This is the local sandwich shop/cafe for all of us that work in the area. They serve breakfast and lunch. I strongly recommend if you want a good sandwich because it's the only spot in Rosslyn that has a solid sandwich. My colleagues and I have been here many many times. It's not winning any food awards. However, the sandwiches are made fresh, tastes great, and priced just right. Strongly recommend if you work in the area or just visiting.“
“These are amazing sandwiches, we've been to two of the locations and each nailed it. I wouldn't give any stars for the customer service, one of the locations had a sign that essentially said do not talk to the employees. You basically handle the ordering online and pick it up rather quickly when you get there. Very unique sandwiches that span across the globe....only 4 stars vs 5 because they cannot even be bothered to say hello.“
“Our favorite spot in Ballston! Food is honestly a hit and the staff is the kindest I know. Decor is beautiful (flower installation across the ceiling). Great florist / gift section available. Sundays are great for $3 mimosas and an easy-going brunch. Honestly, a plain bagel with cream cheese there is my favorite (they respect the shmear) but I will also jump for the The Reuben, The Capicola, and their baby-arugula salad. Generous portions and delightful fair.“
“Mike’s is a nice spot. I stopped in to grab a bacon egg & cheese and a steak & egg sandwich. Service was quick & the ladies that work the grill was nice. My Steak sandwich was delicious, i gotta slide back thru there next time I’m in the area.“
“Enjoyed the sub from Jerseys Mike. Tasty, fresh with the perfect amount of seasoning. Orderd subs before from Jerseys Mike and will definitely order again. First and only choice when it comes to a desire for the perfect and best tasting sub. That's the truth !! “
“Yum!! Stopped in Friday afternoon and got the Korean Fried Chicken bowl with the garlic sauce and rice and it was delicious! Even the coleslaw it came with was good (and I'm not someone who usually likes coleslaw). Chicken was tender and flavorful while the rice was decent, really enjoyed the sauce that seeped into the rice from the chicken. The coleslaw is a mayo base and almost had a sweetness to it too. Service was good and speedy. You order at the counter and you have to watch the number ticker at the front for your number as they don't really call out your number. There are tables inside as well as outside and the overall establishment was clean.“
“WOW I'm inpressed! I've been eating Philly subs for over 50 years and I just had the best sub ever. This is the first time I've been to a Jersey Mike's and from the minute I walked in I was given a friendly greeting that actually sounded sincere. The shop looked very clean and had just the right ambiance. Service was surprisingly fast too.The best part though was when I brought the sub home. Even though it had cooled on my drive home, It was absolutly delicious! It was chock full of tender steak and cheese and made exactly how I like it (lettuce, peppers, fried onions, olive oil and oregano). It was absolutley delicious! I will be back.“
“I work across the street at the DoubleTree Silver Spring DC North. I come here once or twice a week along with much of my team. The owner is friendly and this is passed along to the staff as well! The food is always tasty and consistent. You can't go wrong here! JP“
“I work across the street and decided to try this place out for breakfast for the first time. I got the western omelette platter and it was HUGE, tons of sauteed veggies in it along with a side of potato and toast. The portion was VERY generous and everything tasted great! Definitely worth it!“
“The fries here are amazing! Love the sandwiches too. I will say it's a little pricier than I expect for a sandwich + fries, but a fair price for a general meal. They also do take a little longer to make the food than other places (which means they probably make it fresh), but if you have the time and in the mood for a sandwich I'd say it's worth the waitVegetarian options: They have 3 vegetarian options (2 if you don't count egg as vegetarian)“
“I've tried quite a few restaurants in Washington DC but frankly S.S you’re the best, their sandwich and smoothie are just wow ❤️and the welcome and kindness of the staff is really to be commended. Try going there you weren't going to regret it?“
“Hidden gem. Found this place a short walk from the nearby conference center. The fish sub price and quality were well worth the walk. Minimal seating, but service was great and fast. I only wish I had found it earlier since otherwise I would have come back every day.“
“The office I work at loves to order here for luncheons. This time I tried one of their fan favorites the Sweet Thai Chili Grilled Chicken Sandwich. It was so so good. I was very impressed. It had the right amount of kick from the chili and crunch from the slaw. Next luncheon, I will prob order again thats just how good it was & on a warm brioche bun.“
“These folks are on the ball. They move people through the coffee line with a friendly smile They kept up with spills and crumbs, restocking when needed. 6 people were behind the counter and everyone knew their job. Great teamwork. Thanks!!“
“My daughter & I visited this eatery on our trip to DC and absolutely loved everything about it! We got the chicken 1 sandwich & the Greek Goddess, along w/ tomato soup & quinoa chili, & lemonade! Everything was fresh & near perfect. And the owner was delightful to talk to. Wish we had something like this where we live!“
“If you are searching for a reasonably priced, delicious meal on the Wharf, look no further than Grazie Grazie. When entering, the menu on the wall on the left is a little confusing to read. I would just go right up to the self-checkout kiosk and order, or order online in advance. They have a large variety of sandwiches, small bites, and salads available for purchase. We got two sandwiches, the Retzo and the Minelli. We waited about 10 minutes for our sandwiches. The Retzo was my personal favorite. I loved the hot honey, ricotta, and breaded chicken cutlet combination, but the sandwich was a touch on the dry side (definitely could have used more hot honey!). We got takeout, but these sandwiches are so fresh I think they would be enjoyed best immediately in the restaurant. However, the high quality bread kept the sandwiches from getting soggy, so they are also great to take to go. Overall this is a great spot on the Wharf, and pretty fairly priced compared to other restaurants in this area.“
“Good service and tasty food. My sandwich, the Seoul King, was a bit too rich. They dip the friend chicken in the sauce but I think that they should let it drain more. It was just too much. I have tried about every hot chicken place in the DC area and I think that this is a 3.5-4 compared to others. I will come back to try it again.“
“Got a tofu banh mi with no Mayo and it was so good! The gentleman who took our order was so nice and let us know they have beef and chicken flavored tofu. We got ours no Mayo (vegan) on traditional bread and their pickled veggies and fresh cilantro made me such a happy person. I LOVE Eden Center for its variety, vegan and non-vegan alike! If you’re in the area, definitely stop here for not only a sandwich but so much more. (Also, keep in mind $10 minimum charge for cards!)“
“My go-to breakfast place when I'm in Arlington. They have many good options on their breakfast menu. They also will make your meal the way you like it by adding items that are not on the standard menu. They also have a wide variety of cold drinks and juices. The coffee is always good. They offer quality and good service.“
“Who knew. I stopped in about 7 minutes before closing and asked if they could still make something. The girl at the counter said they had already turned off the heated things but could do a cold sandwich, then started listing things. She was very nice, not like some places where they get angry because they have to make a mess again. For me service is the determining factor for repeats, and I will definitely be back. The sandwich was very well priced and big enough to be a meal. Everything was fresh, I can't think of a bad thing to say about the entire experience. Great people, great food, great price.....“
“I used to go to Pret every day when I was studying abroad and I was very excited when they were in DC and the quality is the same all the food I have had so far has been phenomenal and the drinks are solid. As soon as my company did a return to office I bought a subscription and the staff had been so sweet I even sent my order to the wrong pret and they just gave me my order anyway. This place is a way better deal if this is near your commute definitely give it a shot and try their sandwiches and drinks!“
“Simple but freshly prepared and fast breakfast. A great spot on the way to work or a meeting with plenty of options. The line cook keeps folks moving efficiently and the woman running the front of the house is kind, warm, and makes a mean latte. Hidden gem in a busy neighborhood.“
“This is a very good place. The gas prices are reasonable there and it has a self help gas pumps . It has a place to get snacks and a subway place there where you can get your favorite flavors of subs with all your favorite toppings made from scratch they have your choices of soda fountain drinks . It has an open kitchen there and also it has good cashier teams and has good menus of you all your subs and refrigerators filled with all your favorite sodas too plus a check out place for gas and you can pick up grocery type stuff for snacks there too . The place is friendly and welcoming . It takes credit cards, debit cards and cash for payments . So come on down to rockville liberty gas station and hopefully get the unique experience you will not forget .They look forward to seeing you all on your next adventure visit there .“
“I love this place!! Food is homemade, authentic and delicious. A small Mom & Pop business that welcomes everyone with smiles. Help support them in the community by coming by and trying it for yourselfParking: Parking in front, side and street“
“Great place for a quick bite to eat. The employees are fast to remake any mistakes through miscommunications. This one manager named Nate is incredible. Everytime I order during a rush he is quick to make my sandwich to PERFECTION. He seems super reserved yet takes everything very seriously. One time I forgot to add a some bacon to my sandwich and before the employees at the next station could tell Nate to send down some bacon he already sent it through the oven. Now mind you this is in a large rush of people the line was nearly to the door and he not only was able to keep the line going but fix my own mistake in record time so I didn't have to wait. I was very impressed I wanted to talk with him to give him a tip but he refused it. Actually INSANITY. His attitude compared to everyone else is so drastically different. I recommend anyone who wants to eat here to have Nate make your food he is the best!“
