“I’ve been ordering here for a few years now and I’m extremely loyal to this place. I work in the outlets and delivery time is always SO fast! Even during busy times it’s still faster than other places. I’m a creature of habit so I always order the chicken and broccoli and it’s always a hit. Portion sizes are awesome too. I’ve gotten all of my employees onto here, and my husband always enjoys when I pick this up for dinner on occasion. The staff are always friendly any time I’ve gone in to pick up my food, and the guy who always delivers is so nice too. If I ever leave the outlets, I would still drive up here to China Spring from Rockville. It’s absolutely worth it.“

I don’t understand some of the reviews saying about being pressured for a higher tip and rudeness of staff did not experience anything like that. “I like authentic Chinese food and this place has dishes that are very similar to what I had in China. It’s really hard to find Chinese restaurants in the states that aren’t “Americanized.”

The numbing picked sour fish soup was delicious, and the side dishes (marinated chicken slices and cucumber salad) was extremely flavorful.“

“Excellent noodles here with authentic taste. I stopped by after getting a recommendation to come here from a nearby gym. The ordering process was simple with the kiosk. Plenty of parking nearby in the parking garage. The dishes were affordable and good size portions. The service was quick and food was delicious. It isn't going to be your Din Tai Fung or anything fancy, but it is simple and gets you filled and going.

My husband and I have keep it in regular rotation alongside China Bistro (Mama's Dumplings), and Sichuan Jin River. Becky and Wendy are incredibly hospitable, and the food is consistently spot-on. We especially come for their authentic Szechuan and Cantonese dishes — always flavorful, always satisfying. A must-try! Generous portions deliver excellent value at a fair price.“

“The food here is passable, the customer service is terrible. They're supposed to provide a fork and napkins, but when you open the bag the food comes in, there's nothing. You have to keep asking, and they only give you one napkin. I mean, hi... very bad service. That's why they only get one star.“

“The restaurant is nothing fancy but is one of my favorite rice noodles soup. So many different soup varieties but I love kimchi fatty beef and my partner always gets tomatoes 🍅😆 And if you like spicy, highly recommend the Spicy Beef Tripe Rice Noodles!

You can choose to cook yourself at the table which is what we did. It comes with all the sides that you would put in the noodles soup. It's so much more fun 😁 and the soup is very hot so don't worry the meat will cook just fine. Such flavorful soup and silky smooth rice noodles, it's the best in the winter time.“

“When my family moved to this area over 15 years ago, this place was recommended to us. Still, after all this time, this is the only Chinese place in the area that I will order from, after sampling many in the area (Frederick/MoCo). They have the best hot and sour soup in the area. Actually flavorful. The cream cheese wontons are different, not as crispy as you would expect, but the flavor is great. veggies are always fresh and crunchy, never overcooked. Both the more traditional dishes and the Americanized dishes have great flavors. Food is always ready fast.“

“Very generic interior, nothing stood out and no ambiance, really. Lacking decorum and aesthetic. I don't really need to see 100 bamboo steamers stacked up on the wall, especially when they're coming to my table.
The menu is on large tv screens mounted to the wall, very fast food-esque. To order, we walked up to the counter, where the cashier was less than enthusiastic to be working there or maybe working at all. We were given a plastic number tag for the table we chose and waited about 10 to 15 minutes for our food.
My friend's Soup dumplings were overcooked to the point some dumplings were visibly open and all but 1 dumpling had no soup. When we lifted the bamboo steamer from her tray, the soup had pooled below on the tray. She liked the flavor and texture of her sampler, though.
For me, my dumplings were almost perfect, except the chicken. The chicken had no soup and I immediately got a texture no no (gristle, perhaps). My other dumplings in the sampler were delicious and decently flavorful. Bao buns were a great hit all around - fluffy, white bread texture, scrumptious BBQ flavor, and actual pieces of meat, not paté or mush. Lastly, the veg noodles I brought home for a later meal were awesome. They reheated nicely in a wok with a tbsp of water and dash of soy. Veg was tender crisp and I loved the flavor.“

Price is good and affordable, for the price it was a lot of food . I ordered special lo mein and spring rolls .

“The egg drop soup is AMAZING. However, I found the steamed dumplings and spring rolls to be lacking flavor. The dumplings had large chunks of spring onion in them and barely any meat. Also, they were closer to Gyoza than Chinese dumplings. the spring roll had a great crunch, but barely any ingredients inside. I will definitely be going back for the soup and to try other dishes, but am disappointed so far.“

“I love this place. I’ve gone 3 times in the past 2 months and can say they have become one of my fav Chinese joints to visit for some grub. My favs to order are the grandma’s braised pork belly, the chili oil pork wonton, and scallion pancake (this item is dine in only). Also had the full Peking duck and can recommend that too. Everything is delicious and the servers/crew are pretty nice. Glad to have them here.“

“Something to be said for doing the traditional dishes well above average. Hot and sour soup tangy and full of veggies. Sesame and teriyaki chicken top notch. Beef and broccoli and pork fried rice all you could ask for. Portions are ample, and service consistently cordial. Plenty of parking. Plenty of options. Just what a good neighborhood Chinese restaurant should provide. And leftovers for seconds, maybe even thirds“

“Ok so I have had the shrimp with brocolli and white rice a few times which was really good. But today I ordered the singnapore noodles with shrimp and I put non spicy and it was a little too spicy for me, but it was still good, I just prefer less spice. The spring roll or egg roll was so delicious and crunchy. The cheesecake was horrible and frozen. I couldn't even eat it. I shouldv'e maybe ordered the vanilla cake.“

“Came here because Tasty 68 was closed for renovations, a little hesitant from the 1 star reviews, but we were really pleasantly surprised!

The food was excellent. Maybe even better than Tasty 68? We ordered the sha cha steak, shredded pork, and Mongolian lamb. Everything was cooked perfectly with crisp juicy veggies and tender meats.

It’s very much a Chinese American restaurant, but there were more than the usual basics on the menu and the people working there are Chinese.

Service was also prompt and great. We put in our orders, got waters and tea, refills, food, and the bill all quickly when asked.

“I have nothing but good things to say about Gourmet Asian Bistro (7224 Muncaster Mill Rd, Derwood, MD 20855). It offers Chinese, Thai, and sushi. I've eaten there 3 times in the past 2 weeks, and it's been excellent every time and affordable! The vegetable tofu soup ($2.95) is huge, satisfying, and full of veggies. The wonton soup ($2.95) has 3 good sized wontons. Both soups come with a bowl of tastier-than-average fried wonton strips on the side that I end up munching on during the entire meal. The sizzling black pepper beef ($16.95?) was tasty, but I was more impressed by the noodle dishes. The beef chow fun ($14.95?) and the Singapore mei fun ($13.95) were beautifully seasoned and cooked perfectly. I've also gotten the salmon nigiri ($5.95?) a couple times, and it's generously portioned and fresh with great quality salmon. Every meal ends with a complimentary tiny scoop of vanilla ice cream and fortune cookie. There are plenty of good Chinese restaurants in MoCo, but Gourmet Asian Bistro is my current favorite for best flavor and value.“

“I've eaten at Woodlands three or four times, and it's always very satisfying. There are so many vegan options to choose from. As a South Indian restaurant, it offers a variety of dosas, which is what I always order. They are enormous and delicious. The atmosphere is really nice, and the service is good, too. The only problem is that this restaurant is difficult to find on your first attempt--it's tucked away on the backside of an office building.“

“There were many free parking spaces on the front. The door required a strong pull to open (originally I thought it was closed until I followed someone in). It did offer a few indoor seatings, but I ordered three lunch combinations to go. Given the location and prices, it was great for our quick lunch. The shrimp chow mein came with lots of ingredients. “Eddies reminds me of my DC roots. It is the only Chinese food place I eat from. I reside in Germantown and only eat from here. The mumbo sauce, the wings and fries, their steak and cheese all are favorites and reminder of home (DC). I’ve eaten here 3 times in the last 7 days.

I crave their mix tea/lemonade which is very addictive and tastes great.

I’ve ordered lunch specials ( sesame chicken, egg foo young, general Tao chicken) many times which are always hot and fresh.

“We just moved into the area and it’s our go to takeout spot now! Low google reviews somehow but over 2000 (!!!) +4.5 star reviews on Grubhub, DoorDash and UberEats combined. It came highly recommended by our coworkers. Is it Chinese fine dining? No. But does the takeout slap after those long days? Yes.“

“have come here several times and every single time the workers have been the nicest, most courteous people i’ve interacted with. you always know what you’re getting with the food, but the people are what makes this location stand out for me.“

“I would rate the taste here 5 stars. The dim sum comes piping hot on carts, ready to serve. Today we ordered 5 baskets from the cart and one additional item that had to be steamed to order. However, when the bill came it showed 6 baskets plus the extra dish. We tried to explain that it was incorrect and even showed photos and videos we had taken, but they said they couldn’t adjust the bill. Instead, they offered us to take one dim sum item home.

I understand mistakes can happen, but at the same time the staff should listen to customers when there’s clear evidence.

As for the service charge that many people mention in reviews, the restaurant suggests 18%, 20% or 22%, but it’s up to you how much to give. I will still come back because the food is very good — I’ll just make sure to check the items as the staff writes them down to be sure they match.“
