“I’ve been ordering here for a few years now and I’m extremely loyal to this place. I work in the outlets and delivery time is always SO fast! Even during busy times it’s still faster than other places. I’m a creature of habit so I always order the chicken and broccoli and it’s always a hit. Portion sizes are awesome too. I’ve gotten all of my employees onto here, and my husband always enjoys when I pick this up for dinner on occasion. The staff are always friendly any time I’ve gone in to pick up my food, and the guy who always delivers is so nice too. If I ever leave the outlets, I would still drive up here to China Spring from Rockville. It’s absolutely worth it.“

“We come here about every couple of weeks, and it all started after our very first visit — we’ve been craving their fish ever since. The fish is always incredibly fresh, and that’s the main reason we keep coming back.

The owner and the staff are genuinely warm and welcoming, which makes every visit feel comfortable and familiar. We really appreciate how accommodating they are, especially when we ask to set some fish aside without spice for our kids who can’t handle spicy food yet. They’re always happy to help.

“The portions are big. They have a good ratio of each ingredient and side veggies. The spicy level was satisfactory. Prices are affordable. Service was good. The service staff was attentive, friendly, professional, and welcoming. He also didn't come to bother us like many white restaurants do. My girlfriend and I do not want to be bothered when we are dining out. The broth was rich. Ingredients were fresh. Very positive experience. Even though it is a little too far for us, we will come again.“

My husband and I have keep it in regular rotation alongside China Bistro (Mama's Dumplings), and Sichuan Jin River. Becky and Wendy are incredibly hospitable, and the food is consistently spot-on. We especially come for their authentic Szechuan and Cantonese dishes — always flavorful, always satisfying. A must-try! Generous portions deliver excellent value at a fair price.“

“Came here with a colleague and had the fried oyster appetizer and fried pork chop rice noodle in tomato broth. Both were excellent! Returned the next day with my hubby and had the fried jumbo shrimp appetizer and the beef flank rice noodle in tomato broth. Both were amazing! The name “Shi Miao Dao” or in Chinese “十秒到” means “arrive in 10 seconds”. In both my visits, the dishes indeed did arrive swiftly

“Stopped by Double Lucky Star after a friend told me about it, and now I’m hooked. The roast duck is outta this world — crispy skin, tender meat, just the right amount of seasoning. Their BBQ pork’s got that perfect sweet-salty balance too.

What I really appreciate is how fresh everything tastes. You can tell it’s made right before pickup, none of that sitting-under-a-heat-lamp stuff. I usually grab a family combo after work — saves me cooking and the kitchen stays clean.

Folks behind the counter are always polite, even when they’re busy. Feels like they actually care about what they’re serving.

It’s not fancy, but it’s solid. Tastes like something your uncle would cook if he ran a BBQ shop in Hong Kong. Definitely worth a stop if you’re anywhere near Rockville.“

“Don't let the simple decor distract you from the delicious and very reasonably priced food. Can't get enough of the perfectly seasoned wonton soup, crunchy egg rolls, delicious beef or shrimp egg foyung, and the outstanding Gen Tso chicken. Wish they delivered but the 5 star food, quick service and the lovely folks behind the counter make the drive worth it!“

“Very generic interior, nothing stood out and no ambiance, really. Lacking decorum and aesthetic. I don't really need to see 100 bamboo steamers stacked up on the wall, especially when they're coming to my table.
The menu is on large tv screens mounted to the wall, very fast food-esque. To order, we walked up to the counter, where the cashier was less than enthusiastic to be working there or maybe working at all. We were given a plastic number tag for the table we chose and waited about 10 to 15 minutes for our food.
My friend's Soup dumplings were overcooked to the point some dumplings were visibly open and all but 1 dumpling had no soup. When we lifted the bamboo steamer from her tray, the soup had pooled below on the tray. She liked the flavor and texture of her sampler, though.
For me, my dumplings were almost perfect, except the chicken. The chicken had no soup and I immediately got a texture no no (gristle, perhaps). My other dumplings in the sampler were delicious and decently flavorful. Bao buns were a great hit all around - fluffy, white bread texture, scrumptious BBQ flavor, and actual pieces of meat, not paté or mush. Lastly, the veg noodles I brought home for a later meal were awesome. They reheated nicely in a wok with a tbsp of water and dash of soy. Veg was tender crisp and I loved the flavor.“

“Pleasantly surprised of the quality of food here. Can't comment on the fusion Chinese food, but the two dishes I order - Chongqing Chicken and Basil Eggplant - were authentic, well-seasoned, and not oily. They used enough dried chili pepper such that the spice penetrates into the fried chicken. They got all components of the dish right also including peanuts, the numbness from peppercorn, and even the aromatics garlic and ginger slices. The eggplant dish was superb as well. The sauce has a consistency sufficient to coat the eggplant, and the larger eggplant pieces in the dish still had structure to them, not completely mushy. Will be back for sure. I wish there were two menus though, one for authentic Chinese food and one for American Chinese.“

“Something to be said for doing the traditional dishes well above average. Hot and sour soup tangy and full of veggies. Sesame and teriyaki chicken top notch. Beef and broccoli and pork fried rice all you could ask for. Portions are ample, and service consistently cordial. Plenty of parking. Plenty of options. Just what a good neighborhood Chinese restaurant should provide. And leftovers for seconds, maybe even thirds“

“I love this place. I’ve gone 3 times in the past 2 months and can say they have become one of my fav Chinese joints to visit for some grub. My favs to order are the grandma’s braised pork belly, the chili oil pork wonton, and scallion pancake (this item is dine in only). Also had the full Peking duck and can recommend that too. Everything is delicious and the servers/crew are pretty nice. Glad to have them here.“

“When my family moved to this area over 15 years ago, this place was recommended to us. Still, after all this time, this is the only Chinese place in the area that I will order from, after sampling many in the area (Frederick/MoCo). They have the best hot and sour soup in the area. Actually flavorful. The cream cheese wontons are different, not as crispy as you would expect, but the flavor is great. veggies are always fresh and crunchy, never overcooked. Both the more traditional dishes and the Americanized dishes have great flavors. Food is always ready fast.“

“Ok so I have had the shrimp with brocolli and white rice a few times which was really good. But today I ordered the singnapore noodles with shrimp and I put non spicy and it was a little too spicy for me, but it was still good, I just prefer less spice. The spring roll or egg roll was so delicious and crunchy. The cheesecake was horrible and frozen. I couldn't even eat it. I shouldv'e maybe ordered the vanilla cake.“

“Came here because Tasty 68 was closed for renovations, a little hesitant from the 1 star reviews, but we were really pleasantly surprised!

The food was excellent. Maybe even better than Tasty 68? We ordered the sha cha steak, shredded pork, and Mongolian lamb. Everything was cooked perfectly with crisp juicy veggies and tender meats.

It’s very much a Chinese American restaurant, but there were more than the usual basics on the menu and the people working there are Chinese.

Service was also prompt and great. We put in our orders, got waters and tea, refills, food, and the bill all quickly when asked.

“I have nothing but good things to say about Gourmet Asian Bistro (7224 Muncaster Mill Rd, Derwood, MD 20855). It offers Chinese, Thai, and sushi. I've eaten there 3 times in the past 2 weeks, and it's been excellent every time and affordable! The vegetable tofu soup ($2.95) is huge, satisfying, and full of veggies. The wonton soup ($2.95) has 3 good sized wontons. Both soups come with a bowl of tastier-than-average fried wonton strips on the side that I end up munching on during the entire meal. The sizzling black pepper beef ($16.95?) was tasty, but I was more impressed by the noodle dishes. The beef chow fun ($14.95?) and the Singapore mei fun ($13.95) were beautifully seasoned and cooked perfectly. I've also gotten the salmon nigiri ($5.95?) a couple times, and it's generously portioned and fresh with great quality salmon. Every meal ends with a complimentary tiny scoop of vanilla ice cream and fortune cookie. There are plenty of good Chinese restaurants in MoCo, but Gourmet Asian Bistro is my current favorite for best flavor and value.“

“There were many free parking spaces on the front. The door required a strong pull to open (originally I thought it was closed until I followed someone in). It did offer a few indoor seatings, but I ordered three lunch combinations to go. Given the location and prices, it was great for our quick lunch. The shrimp chow mein came with lots of ingredients. “How have I been inside this shopping center a million times and NEVER noticed this place?! Asia Café is the definition of a true hole-in-the-wall treasure — the kind of place you wander into on a random day with your husband and then immediately regret not discovering sooner.

We ordered Beef Chow Foon, shrimp Egg Foo Youn, and the Spicy fish from their authentic menu. The owner surprised us with complimentary hot & sour soup (SO good) and the freshest tea I’ve ever tasted — clean, smooth, not bitter, basically life-changing.

Everything that hit the table was fresh, flavorful, balanced, not oily, not overly spicy… just right. So good I even ordered Chinese donuts to-go because my emotional attachment developed very quickly.

Now here’s the miracle:
Every American-style Chinese place I’ve eaten at over the years has sent my stomach straight into panic mode. Like—eat, smile, pretend everything is fine, then sprint to the bathroom. But Asia Café?? ZERO issues. NONE. My stomach was calm, happy, and practically clapping. I even took leftovers home like a proud parent.

And the owner… honestly, she made the visit even better. Sweet, friendly, fast, and so real. We chatted with her, and she explained her whole philosophy in the most iconic line ever:

“We make everything fresh. It’s more work every day… but we are NOT lazy!”

I LOVE HER.
That told me everything I needed to know about why the food tastes the way it does.

She even offered to refill my rice for free AND gave us the soup for free. You just don’t see service or heart like that anymore.

Asia Café, I am officially obsessed. I’m coming back. I’m bringing friends. I’m bringing family. I might even bring random strangers. This place is that good.

If you haven’t tried it yet — GO. Do not wait another five years like I did.“

“The shrimp with broccli is really good, no need to add soy sauce at all! I always get it a lil spicy, it gives it a kick! The wings are really good too and not all hormone injected looking!🤣! They just need to make their mumbo sauce a lil thicker and flavorful, its a bit watery! Overall their food is on point! The fried rice is good as well!
