“Royal Taj is our go-to restaurant for special occasions, like our 20th Wedding Anniversary last week. It never fails to deliver excellence. Because it was a very special dinner, we decided to try something different. So my wife ordered the Lobster Malabar and I ordered the Grilled Halibut. Both were very good, especially the Halibut which was covered in an outstanding Corn Relish. To top off the evening our excellent server, Joshi, brought us a slice of very tasty cheesecake with a lit candle on top. As usual we cannot rave loud and often enough about Royal Taj and it is all due to the GM Binda, who is very friendly, charismatic and truly sets the tone of excellence at Royal Taj.“

“Vegan fast food chain in the Columbia Whole Foods. Seems kinda overpriced for the “fast food” experience, but if you sign up on their website you get a free welcome burger, so first trip will be cheaper lol. Lots of burger choices and cutomize-ability. I got a double cheeseburger and a crème brûlée milkshake. In retrospect I should’ve gotten a more interesting burger, but the milkshake was delicious and had a good consistency. Bf got a veggie burger on a chard leaf wrap, which is probably the healthiest option and was very flavorful. And green bean fries, which were a fun side option.“

“We planned a surprise birthday celebration with coworkers at this location, which is usually spacious with plenty of available seating. However, on the day of our celebration, there happened to be four events going on—something we didn’t anticipate based on our past visits.

Upon arrival, I spoke with the restaurant manager, Alex, who was incredibly accommodating. He assured us that he would help if the community tables weren’t enough to seat our group comfortably by restaurant side. Alex and his team went above and beyond—assisting but also graciously accepting an early cake delivery and storing it in the fridge for us.

We had an amazing time and can’t thank the staff enough for their attentiveness and support with all the little details throughout our visit. Kids also had a blast.

“Every once in a while you have something that makes you just go "Goddamn!". Back in south India they had this local brand called Hangyo which churned out the best Belgian chocolate ice cream I've had in my life. Hangyo was immeasurably superior than the competition and I patronized that establishment quite frequently- much to my own detriment.

When I had a taste of the Tall Tale chocolate ice cream here it was the same moment; all over again. Identical in every fashion. I haven't had ice cream like that in 80 months. I had almost convinced myself the nostalgia for the product was a figment of my imagination but the charmery has earned the distinction of proving my sanity. Anyway, I am glad I don't live on this side of the country for the sake of my own health. Otherwise I would've had the top spot on the Charmery watchlist. You never know; the NSA's a stone's throw away.“

“This was a very good hamburger. Though I asked for medium, it was medium well. Of course, degree of doneness is a challenge for any hamburger joint. Even so, the meat was flavorful. There was quite a bit of bacon on my bacon cheeseburger. The onion rings were also quite good. The shortfall was Pepsi products, which I do not prefer. I think the shock for me was one burger, order of onion rings, and fountain drink was $25.00.“

“One of the best places to bring your dog to hang out on the patio. Great prices and good pizza. Definitely recommend if you're a dog owner, probably the most dog friendly restaurant in the area.

“We have been to Asian Palace several times and we've always enjoyed our visits.

Since the pandemic, business seems to be off and on a Saturday evening at about 7:00 p.m., Asian Palace deserve to be a good deal more busy than it actually was. No problem getting a table right away at all.

The Chinese entrees we ordered were plentiful tasty and reasonably priced. Service was super-prompt and solid. We did not get sushi on this visit and our overall bill was really quite reasonable particularly given the location.

Somehow I believe that if Asian Palace were to relocate to some place with better foot traffic or a better Street front, they would be appreciably busier.

“I took my dad tonight for Father’s Day and it was very busy. We were told an hour and half wait so we waited. From the crew at the reservation desk to the lady who took is us to our table and Evan our waiter everything was awesome. Even with being crazy busy service was great and food was great. “We always have a good experience here but I just want to give them some praise for the accessibility. The disabled bathroom stall is so nice. First of all, it’s the very first stall right next to the door (I’ve never seen that, usually it’s the furthest stall all the way in the back, which can be annoying when you can’t walk very far). It’s also quite large, larger than your standard “accessible” stall. I would have no problem fitting in the stall with my wheelchair and my service dog. A standard accessible stall is barely big enough to fit my wheelchair, let alone with my service dog. I had a lovely conversation with the manager about the accessibility and I love the response he gave, that he doesn’t just want things to meet basic ADA standards, he wants things to be better/more accessible (because ADA standards for accessibility are quite literally the bare minimum and often aren’t easy to navigate). I really appreciate when I hear that type of sentiment because accessibility for disabled people is usually such an afterthought or simply not considered. I’ve recently had an extremely negative experience at another establishment, and it was just very nice to have such a pleasant experience this evening. I also love that every time I’ve taken my service dog, from the time he was a young puppy to now at 18 months and nearing fully trained, they’ve been very welcoming.“

The service provided by the biologicals bringing drinks, picking up dishes, etc. was not diminished, although not having ingredient placed on the table was sorely missed. Payment is now via a portable card reader at the table, I don't care for having someone stand there and wait for you to choose a tip and sign the receipt. It's unpleasant having someone watch while you feel compelled to rush so you don't take time away from other customers. The food just seemed off that night, my tomato broth and my wife's mushroom broth both seemed off and lacking of the flavor we remember, also just remembered also we were never asked if we wanted more broth. Seems we'd have to ask for that via the tablet in lieu of a server. Broccoli and corn seemed fine, while the fish, shrimp, squid, firm tofu, and lobster balls seemed to be of lesser quality of poorer taste. The app on the tablet used to order has been changed. Several items, mostly refills, lack proper icons. I'm accustomed to using the images to make quick choices and the app seems less convenient now. Once you start ordering the items appear in a pane that opens on the right, taking away from the area used to display options. I prefer having my order being a separate tab. “This used to be my favorite. I came in last Friday bought a 32 oz smoothie. I do love the smoothies and chocolate covered almonds. They no longer have styrofoam cups which is a great disappointment. B4 you even get 20 mins away anything is melted in those plastic cups. I even tried to refreeze it like I always do. But it was mostly sweet juice by the time I got home. “The food at Olive Garden was really good, especially the salad and bread — both were fresh and flavorful. We also tried the cake and noodles, and everything was excellent. However, we did notice some hesitation from the staff when we asked for additional servings of bread or salad. “This shake shack is always super goof. Food is fresh and hot the service is friendly! Everything is usually pretty clean as well, I think maybe once it looked a little worse than usual but it was busy so forgivable.

This location does get pretty busy and it can get kind of loud but it's in an ideal location so makes sense. Wife and I love this place.“
