“Last night we wanted to go somewhere we had been before for something seafood, something good. We decided upon Skippers Pier. I started with a dozen oysters on the half shell. Beautiful Chesapeake Bay Oysters, very plump and tasty. Our entree's were equally interesting! My wife had Crab Tacos and a side of Onion Rings. Very unique, I have had many different tacos with different variations of proteins, but these were extra special. I had a nice bowl of Steamed Mussels nice and buttery with a hint of spice. I have had some nice mussels from time to time, but never with pepper flake. I loved this dish,it had a nice piece of buttered garlic bread. The service was exceptional. With the problems being experienced with obtaining wait staff, this was a big happy surprise. The ambience here was very nautical and not overly crowded, much as we expected.“
“It appears I spent more time at Mel's than with family last weekend. Saturday at Mel's 2 dozens of beautiful blue crabs. Prices are comparable, and sizes were nice.Sunday back at Mel's again, this time soft shell crabs. Omg! Let me tell you, nice size price was doable. When I cooked these crabs, full of mustard, the crabs were perfect. Hat of to Mel and the cook. That would be me.“
“The picture doesn't really do justice. This is my go to stop for crabs! I love the garlic crab seasoning! The owners are super friendly and welcoming! If it was a sit down restaurant I would definitely sit down! Check them out and tell them I sent ya!“
“I have to say, I was very skeptical when i walked in. It looks like a cafeteria. I got that catfish poboy and my husband got the brisket dinner. We were honestly blown away by that taste. We eat a lot of places and the smoke brisket was so delicious. The fish was delicately breaded and crispy and flavor was so good. I was definitely proven wrong in my assumptions.“
“Birthday dinner with my wife. She had the chicken bruschetta pasta, and I had the braised short rib. We both enjoyed the crab Dib with pretzel bread (exceptional). We got extra bread with that. Chicken was tender and pasta cooked perfectly. My ribs were a bit on the tough side so will go with the burger next time. Risotto very good. We ended with their beignets. Good grief, they were amazing. We will be back for sure.“
“Celebrated birthdays at brunch ..we all enjoyed our meals...my first try at Chicken and waffles...it was delicious. Our server, Diana, was charming , lovely and efficient . I give her 5 stars...very enjoyable visit...we will return for sure.“
“Fresh and tasty seafood - good selections too. The crab chowder is to die for. It a nice waterfront restaurants next to West River Yacht Harbour. I wish they have Tesla EV charger though. Would be a great place to stop and get good food /drinks while waiting for the car to 'charged up'. The owner should think about this addition for extra revenue since I saw many Tesla while I was in the area but there was no charging station.“
“I visited Ketch 22 for lunch on a weekday. We enjoyed the Whipped Feta appetizer the most! It was delicious and the bread it was served with was great! We also had the crabcake! It was very good! All crab meat not any filler ! I also really enjoyed the Key Lime Crush cocktail“
“Love their fried fish sandwich. Food was hot when it came out to the table. There is no changing table in the restroom for those that may need one. The server was so friendly & very thorough with our order as well. I will definitely come back to eat here in the future!“
“Food is great! I get the double fillet and it the best i have had anywhere in this area! Veggies are always cooked to perfection.Everything i had there has been great and the prices are always right! The place probably could use an update but i consider it a hidden gem!“
“Another great evening at one of my favorite watering holes. Jen and Janelle are such great hostesses and always have a welcoming smile. The cream of crab soup was absolutely spot on, very tasteful and filling. The lemon drop martinis went down well too! If you haven't given Peties a try yet, all I can say is what are you waiting for?“
