“Medium Rare features steak frites (or mushrooms with frites) and some desserts- that's it.

The price is appropriate- you get nice, crusty bread, salad, and 2 helpings of steak frites.

The food quality is good. However, one must be partial to mustard because the salad dressing is extremely mustard forward, and so is the gravy on the steak frites.

It's a cute concept and the ambiance reflects this. Some cheeky art alongside the children's drawings up on the walls. The restrooms refer to Pepe and Penelope from Loony Tunes and in the ladies room one can listen (and perhaps learn) some flirty French phrases.

The service was a mixed bag. Our main server wasn't very engaged with our table. Despite the fact that we had gift bags on the table (perhaps a clue that we were celebrating a birthday) she didn't ask whether we were celebrating. I had also marked the Open Table reservation that we were celebrating a birthday, but that wasn't acknowledged at all. Other tables were celebrated while we were dining, so I guess those patrons directly asked for the celebratory gesture of a sparkler in their sundae/cake.

Our server also wasn't too interested in keeping our beverages full, or in bringing extra hot fudge when we asked for it with our sundae.

However, our steak did arrive at the right temperature for each of us, and they brought the steak frites refills at the EXACT perfect timing (and the refills were hot and perfect).

Medium Rare is a fun restaurant with good food at a good price- we'll return.“

“Food & service was great however it was very cold. So much so that the light hanging over out table swayed. Our server explained that some tables were colder than others. We finished our after dinner drinks at the bar which was much more pleasant.“

Started with the Caesar salad, nice and light, well dressed with a lighter dressing - the croutons are the best part. The steak frites are phenomenal, steak so tender it practically melted, and the fries were crispy little bites of heaven dunked in a roasted garlic rosemary aioli.

Wine list is excellent too, lots of good options by the glass, and the whole vibe of the place is lively.

“Friendly, fast service, and the food was delicious! I stopped by around noon today, and there was a steady flow of customers, seemlingly both regulars and new. The nice, cold AC gave a good break from the summer heat. I heard some classic rock playing in the background. I had the steak and cheese add mushrooms with a side of Old Bay fries, plus two ice cold cups of water. I'll be back next time I'm in the area!“

“We get take out from Isaac's often and they never let us down. We usually get the wings and tenders plain with extra dipping sauces because everyone in the family likes something different. I haven't tried a bad one yet. The sides are great, especially the French fries. They have nailed the French fry game.“

We started with breakfast (tasting the local culinary treasure of scrapple), then I was introduced to their burgers on the same trip, and I was surprised that everything is cooked to order. I have not found any burger yet that is close to comparison!! My husband's family has made this a regular stop for sandwiches over several decades and generations. My father in law (nearby farmer/owner of Greenstone Custom Farming) has eaten there for several decades along with feeding his crew from this hidden gem, this has been a favorite of my husband's since he was old enough to eat there, and now it is a favorite place for our children to eat with grandpa. The store is small and with limited seating, it would be best to order the food to go or if you are eating alone you can sit at the counter and watch your food be prepared. A must try in the area and definitely worth the drive through the beautiful countryside!“

She liked her salad but I wasn't impressed with my selection. It was indeed a hearty portion but did have much flavor. The spicy Aoil is what gave it elevation. The fries were very oily and didn't have any salt. I only ate the bottom half with toppings and 1 fry. The Witches Brew was strong but needed to be microwaved. I wouldn't come back but I hear it's a neighborhood watering hole. Maybe the weekend brunch or pizza offering is better.“

“I have been to this place about 10 years ago by one of my golf members who was an army veteran. My back ground is culinary/hospitality industry and was so impressed by service and also food quality.. His family and my family celebrated our special occasions every year. Now, we are coming back here again on August 27th to celebrate his 68th wedding anniversary and their 90years birthday also. This is his wife's pick and I and he are excited for next week event.“

“My wife and I had a great lunch.They have a lunch special called Take2 for $15.I had a bowl of minestrone soup and a personal size chicken pesto pizza.I enjoyed it very much and even took one slice home.My wife had a grilled chicken sandwich on a brioche bun with arugula,guacamole and cheese.Instead of French fries my wife had a house salad which came with a delicious white balsamic dressing.We saw on the menu that Matchbox now has sushi rolls so we couldn't resist and ordered a spicy tuna roll.It was Japanese restaurant quality..We had a great lunch for not a lot of money“
