“I was recommended this place by a long time local restauranteur. The owners of this truck are HIGHLY respected cooks in the county, especially the Olney area. I was a little surprised by the menu but ordered one item from each "side." I got the cubano sub which is more like a steak and cheese than a Cuban, and the carne asada platter. The food was truly outstanding and that cubano sub really blew me away. It's a delicious, unique take on the traditional Cuban sandwich. The carne asada was wonderful and the portion sizes were huge. Highly recommend coming here if you're in the area. You'll be full all day!“
“We stopped in here for lunch while walking around town and was honestly impressed! The food was simple but delicious! Though not pictured, i had the cajun pasta with chicken. The chicken in the dosh was perfectly cooked, tender and juicy! And the sauce and flavor also spot on. The drinks here are great and so is the service! It's a huge space too so perfect for getting together with loved ones. Oh and the prices arent too crazy. Worth a visit!“
“This is the classic & affordable diner location (on Grubb Road!) that's been here forever. Nothing much has changed which is the charm. Let's be clear - why does anyone go.... Best matzoh ball soup ever! Tasty matzoh balls in real hearty and chunky chicken soup. You want it if you are under the weather or if you are perfectly healthy. I have found no other matzoh ball soup than can beat this one- even in NYC! And the sandwiches.... Yes- get it. You will order too much so you can take it home or just loosen the pants and eat it all! Actually, it may best if you plan ahead and wear elastic waistband pants. Don't forget the pickle bar- a must have for vegetarians and non vegetarians.“
“I think this is the first time I ate at BergerFi. I had the fried chicken on a lettuce wrap. I was surprised at how delicious it was. I never had a lettuce wrap. The crunch was much better than a bun. I was also expecting a dried out piece of chicken with tons of sauce. It was quite the opposite. Juicy meat and light sauce. I'll be “
“Persimmon has very attentive service, lots of great menu options, and a nice buzzy atmosphere that is cozy and not too loud. Our favorites were the tuna tartare and blue cheese ravioli with truffle sauce. I love that they have so many seafood options. Don't miss the sunset dining from 5-6pm M-F: 3 courses for $45!“
“Family time, good service didn’t wait long for food and it was great! I’ll admit it’s a little on the pricy side but it’s definitely worth it!Kid-friendliness: My kids had fun eating and watching games, also had nice decorations around the restaurant“
“I've been coming here for years with my friends for birthdays and just hangout. I like the ambiance, the food, and the staff. Melissa is our go to waitress, absolutely love her patience, kindness, attention, and professionalism. It's really nice that they revise their menu a little to match the season!“
“I found this to be a very enjoyable dining experience. First the drink I ordered, the Old Fashioned, was made to perfection and this is no overstatement. There are simply no words to describe other than to say better even than steak house drinks I've had; not watered down at all either. The Caesar salad was fine, typical of many establishments not bad at all. The croutons were quite crispy and flavorful and plentiful. Of note, it was a perfect portion (many restaurants give a huge salad with a meal which is fine for some I guess but I appreciated the true "side salad" portion). The true king of this meal was what I ordered which was the meatloaf. Absolutely divine flavoring, each complimenting the other. The mashed potatoes were also perfect, and the seasonal greens were quite crispy (which I don't prefer but others might). The only part that almost caused me to give 4 stars for the food was the corn. It was kind of "starchy" for lack of a better word; didn't have much flavor even for corn. But the meatloaf and potatoes carried the dish home for the win.For dessert the milkshake (which I believe was the "Chunky Monkey") was awesome with chocolate chips in EVERY sip, not one sip where the mouth wasn't full of chocolate chips. Also nice that they gave the full container where it was mixed in so you could have really two full shakes, finishing off what couldn't fit in the glass the first round. All in all a wonderful meal definitely worth the price. And the service was excellent too. I also appreciated the means by which we paid our check. Right at the table so very quick which was convenient to make the movie we were going to see right after.“
“Stopped by hoping for a view of the water but unfortunately their patio view is blocked off due to construction. Still, the food was lovely and Katya gave some of the best service we’ve seen in a while. Our brussel sprout app came out cold and the manager Camina quickly fixed any issue and gave us a new one on the house. Awesome team and great food, we will definitely be back when the outside patio is open again!!“
“My fiancé and I had a romantic dinner by the fireplace. The crab dip, butternut squash ravioli and roasted brussel sprouts were amazingly delicious. Service was outstanding. Our waiter told us about the history of the building. We fell more in love that night.“
“They have rebranded the restaurant as "Glenwood's". If you want to compare it to an existing chain, think Copper Canyon, as they are under the same corporate umbrella. This was my first visit here and I wasn't disappointed. Our server was very attentive and pleasant. The atmosphere is on the subdued side, even though most of the window views are of Wootton Parkway. The food was very good. The jumbo lump crab cakes were filling and meaty. I enjoyed their cocktails as well; just the right mixture. Highly recommended!“
“Love this place. It's the proverbial "hole in the wall" diner that you've never been too. The food is hearty at a normal price with good portions. The service is quick. There are no pretenses here. There's nothing fancy here. It's small, simple, and you may bump elbows during the busy times, but it's good stuff.“
“Fabulous, friendly and welcoming service. Our waiter (maybe Oswin from the receipt?) was particularly good, as were all the staff that delivered wine and food throughout dinner. Excellent menu with tons of delicious, unique, gluten-free options. Great location in the heart of silver spring with easy access to public garage parking. Festive atmosphere on a bustling Friday evening. Highly recommended.“
“I came for a surprise party, the service was amazing! And the food was delicious. I will come again! The owner was so accommodating, and made sure the vibe was great! Can’t wait to come back soon!Kid-friendliness: They have a nice bar but seating for children and plenty of space to move around.“
“I hosted a large birthday brunch yesterday at Barrel and Crow. Our experience exceeded all expectations with delicious food, a lively atmosphere, and top-notch service. Really one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time.I reached out to the "info" email before the event to coordinate and a real person, Carine, responded right away and was very helpful. Our waiter, Michael, was great. Not only was he attentive and personable, but he also displayed a remarkable level of efficiency that ensured our party of 15 was well taken care of from start to finish. Despite the size of our group, and the several, "can I substitute this for that?", he very quietly navigated all our needs and ensured that everything ran smoothly. The food was very tasty and there were several options (all reasonably priced) so that everyone was happy. The kitchen must be super efficient as our 15 meals all arrived warm, at the same time, and with no mistakes! The noise level of the restaurant was good too. Vibrant and bustling, but quiet enough that we could hear each other.Highly recommend Barrel and Crow for any gathering large and small.“
“Love this restaurant in Silver Spring. 'Consistently great food and good service. Whenever I'm in town, I make time to eat dinner there. You need a reservation for Saturday and Friday evenings. Parking is easy since it is near one of the Wayne Garage entrances. My family likes everything on the menu, but I especially like the tenderloin steak with spinach. I rarely get beef, but it is consistently a moist and tender cut. Cocktails are great, and the food is gourmet quality.Parking: Park in Wayne Street parking garage. There is an exit to Ellsworth, which takes you to an exit that is very near the restaurant.“
“This place is a 10/10 I just finished eating and I already wanna go back and get more environment is nice and a really chill spot to be around and the food is great a lot of amazing options if you can make your own sub that would be cool but the options here are already good and the service here was the best seems like the owner likes to treat everyone here like family and that's the best and I'm definitely coming back here again for sure thankfully it's close by if you're in the area check it out right now“
“friends and I visited this restaurant last nite and I just have to say my salmon dinner was the best I have ever had. anywhere. The seasoning on the salmon, red mashed potatoes and we substituted Cole slaw. and it came right out of the kitchen hot! it was so delicious! our server and service was exceptional! We will be back! and very soon!! great place to dine!!' thank you!“
“We have been to yard house for few times and their food gets better each time we go there, they have added a lot more variety of food to their menu. I have tried the Korean cheesecake and it was soooo good. The sauce flavor is very rich and the bun is soft. The burger is also very juicy and tender. The fish and chip on the kids menu comes with big portions. The Jambalaya is great as well. We were well fed and will definitely come back again soon. However, I would say that I wish they can take reservations ahead instead of the joining wishlist online. Also, the music could be too loud if you want to carry a conversation there. I would have taken 1/2 star if I have this option.“
“In the area visiting and came across this place. Fantastic find. Food was good, pleasantly surprised to find they had a great selection of gluten free options. Great drink menu. Our server was wonderful. Overall great experience and would highly recommend.Dietary restrictions: Has good options for gluten free.“
“It was quite busy on a Sunday. The patio hadn't been opened up yet, but you could order to go and sit there. We arrived without a reservation and were told it would be a 20 minute wait, but didn't get seated for ~50 minutes. Our server seemed harried. The crab cake eggs benedict was the highlight for us. The English muffin is toasted thoroughly and didn't get soggy, the crab cake was crispy and seasoned well. The breakfast potatoes were also seasoned and flavorful - just wish they had been crispier. The huevos rancheros was fine. The Werewolf in London was a touch watered down even before the ice melted.“
“Wonderful Easter Breakfast! Had the American Breakfast, Yum. Nice sized portions. Very solicitous service from Eric (our super server) to the manager Emerita, who came around to check on us, too, and last the gentlemen who helped me with a tech problem on my phone. Thank you so much for our time so lovely!!!“
“I love coming here! It’s a cute little spot that has a cozy vibe! I’m a HUGE fan of the arepas — literally they are delicious! Sometimes I have to stop myself from buying several at a time. Their coffee is also really good, with more of the flavors heightened with oat milk. It’s a regular stop for me!“
“I've never had a disappointing meal at one of Jackie's restaurants, this included.Everything was exceptional, I could devour five orders of the fried green tomatoes and pimento cheese. The beverage menu was deep, the bourbon Bellini was a perfect addition to our meal.“
“Low prices for a Bethesda business. The young Asian lady who takes my order is kind, professional, and always has a smile on her faceThe food is cooked the way I ask, and any questions I have are promptly answered. The pancakes, egg, and meat platter are on point. Along with the honey / ginger hot tea.Good place to go, and I don't eat out oftenKid-friendliness: This is a place you can bring your child(ren) for a quick bite to eatWheelchair accessibility: There's room if you are wheelchair bound“
“I came here to pick up gluten free cookies that my wife likes and they were sold out. The assistant manager Ethan however told me if I could come back the next day he would make sure to set some aside for me. It was a very nice thoughtful action and even made sure I could get the cookies despite the fact he wasn’t working that day. Super nice and the cookies were delicious.“
“very clean kitchen and the Food is very tasty and fresh quality products as i see thru there kitchen window and i was in & out quick and the cheesesteak is the best i ever had in DMV. and definitely going back. im so excited to try there Pupusa and i will get a crepe with “
“Our first visit to Dog Haus Bethesda. We had a hot dog, two sliders and most importantly, really great tater tots. We ate at the bar and the service was perfect. We arrived at 4 pm on a Saturday afternoon and were lucky to get seats. We’ll be back soon for their happy hour which includes drinks and food.“
“The food, cleanliness, and customer service have all been top-notch during every visit thus far especially compared to the Gaithersburg location, which is much closer to my house, however I'm willing to drive the extra distance because I know that I'll have a better overall experience. Clearly, the manager @ the Rockville location runs a " tight" ( professional) ship & has taken the necessary steps to ensure their staff are properly trained. I even took a friend who normally goes to the Gaithersburg location, and she even commented on how much better this location is in comparison. Keep up the great work!“
“It's a decent steak house, definitely better than Outback. Service is slooow. I didn't feel like cooking, so I told my friend, "Let's go here, since I wanted to stay in the area. My steak was cooked to perfection, but the salmon was even better,so that will be on my list for next time. Friendly staff though, and ambiance is perfect for a meet up the girls, or date night with your BAE.“
“My family and I absolutely love Cooper's Hawk! This specific location is where we have embraced going out as a family and getting to know the staff has been a wonderful experience. Jackie, the manager is absolutely amazing, very caring, and personable. We have completed many tasting as members, and really appreciate Mark and Taylor specifically, as they are knowledgeable and it is clear that they enjoy what they do. You will not be disappointed visiting Coopers Hawk!“
“Great dinner spot. Menu is a little limited if you don't eat pork, but we really enjoyed ourselves. Fast and great service. Delicious food.Dietary restrictions: Lots of pork and seafood on the menu, but they have enough for everyone to find something to enjoy.“
“On St. Patrick's Day, my mom wanted green beer, so we went to The Barking Dog. The gastropub was filled with sports fanatics. Since alcoholic drinks weren't permitted in the patio area, we were seated at a booth near the bathroom. My brother had an O'Doul's, my fiancé had a Crooked Crab Haze for Days Pale Ale, my parent shared a New Trails Crisp Lager (dyed green), and I had a Green Tea Cocktail. We shared an order of Pub Pretzels, which was served warm and with a spicy cheese dipping sauce.“
“The service was exceptional and the food was excellent. In addition to a good amount if attention and making recommendations, the server was polite, friendly, and helpful, the food came out quickly and at the right temperature, and our drinks never got empty. Overall great experience.“
“The food was amazingly awesome especially the gravy. What shocked me was that they refilled your plate. The service was really nice you didn't get one waiter there was a few which was awesome because if you you needed something they would immediately be there. Over all it was a great experience and I will come back soon.“
“Delish! Even gluten free Mac & cheese. I thought ‘why not give it a try?’ Happy I did.Parking: Easy to find at intersection of Old Georgetown Road and Democracy Blvd in Bethesda.Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap parking and ramp for wheelchair.“
“Dear Diary - They have a pretty good happy hour specials and their cocktail drinks are nicely done. Their staff are helpful and welcoming. Their food are quite delicious and would recommend their specials when they do have it (however I am allergic to seafood, I would not be able to comment on those items). Overall, I would definitely go back to try other menu items!“
“Such a wonderful fun atmosphere! Top notch comedians. Laugh for two hours. My first time being here, but will definitely be a regular. Friendly cozy and on top of that made new friends! We ate before the show at the restaurant and could bring our drinks in plastic cups to the show. Thank You Laugh Riot for best start of our weekend!“
“What a gem worth traveling for! The top billing is “best sandwich in MD ” and I can see why it won after trying the signature Isaac’s and the honey butter sandwiches. But the fries and that signature honey mustard sauce may be worthy of their own awards. Hoping they expand closer to Baltimore/Annapolis area but we have enough soccer games in MoCo to make this our go to spot after a big win. (Service was awesome, dining area was spotless and save room for dessert too!)“
“A Five Star bar all around!!! Decided to stop in and check out Jonathan’s and man was I blown away! I love the “local, no frills” feel of this bar! It’s a bare bones, just amazing place! The service here is phenomenal, the lady who bartends was born to do it! The drinks are generous and potent (you will get your money’s worth), the food was good, I had a bacon cheeseburger with fries and it was amazing (the fries were especially crispy and hot), plenty of tv’s to watch whatever sporting event is on, and just when you think you’ve seen everything, the place explodes and all the locals show up and the party gets started! Everyone was super friendly, and what started as me coming in just to grab a beer, ended up being one of the best times I’ve had at a bar ever!! I can’t wait to get back to Jonathan’s!!“
“Decent neighbourhood place with decent food and service by a young enthusiastic workforce mentored by some dedicated professionals. The nacho appetiser we had was good and the pizza was well above average, particularly the crust which was crispy but also light and airy. Great for a low key meal.“
“I usually visit this lovely place with the same friend. This was our first visit since Covid and we look the wrong turning. But, it was comforting to finally get there and find the same welcoming atmosphere. A delicious Cubano sandwich with salad and a cup of coffee, was the reward. Another thing to like about this Bistro is there is something for everyone. Omnivores, vegetarians or vegans can find something delicious.Vegetarian options: Black bean burger, salads, veggie pizza, soup. There are Also fish dishes for vegetarians who eat fish.“
“My newest obsession! Dig is a new spot in Bethesda with healthy home-style concept. The employees are amicable and welcoming. It was my first time at Dig, but the employees were helpful and patient. The food was displayed like cava or chipotle; you get to pick as you go down the line. I order half of the greens, brown rice, charred broccoli, cucumber and tomato salad, and charred chicken. They have a variety of sauces, but I ended up getting the pesto and garlic aioli. The chicken was very flavorful and juicy. The broccoli was pretty good; it had a nice texture and lemon flavor. Overall, the food was super yummy, and the portions were perfect. My coworkers got the salmon and the crispy chicken with different sides. I will definitely be trying the other sides when I go back! We all enjoyed our meals, and this will be our new lunch spot! A great healthy option with a home-style feel!“
“I stopped in for lunch last week and someone had recommended the Gouda burger, it was magnificent! I would definitely have it again.Today I just had the bruschetta- ok, tomato’s seemed like they were frozen and thawed vs fresh. Choices of tea bags. Nice place to enjoy a meal, tea and they have lots of wines.“
“SuHad an amazing time at Lucky Strike Bethesda! From the moment we walked in, the fun and vibrant atmosphere welcomed us. It's not just about bowling; it's the experience that sets it apart. The lanes were clean, well-maintained, and perfect for both beginners and seasoned players. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, always with a smile. Their positive attitude contributed greatly to the overall atmosphere, making our visit even more enjoyable. Whether you're looking for a fun family outing or a night out with friends, Lucky Strike Bethesda delivers on all fronts. Highly recommend!“
“Loved the owner, food and attentive service. The fresh pressed orange juice and organic coffee were delicious. The starter of a homemade chocolate chip muffin was a fun bonus. We had the Nutella French toast, ricotta pancakes, breakfast burrito and the quesadilla Fiesta. We would love to come back to try the papayas and empanadas! And the nice cushions on the seats were very comfy! Enjoy!“
“Updating my experience. Went today for Easter. Our waiter came and we alerted him we were missing menus. He left for 10 minutes and didn’t come back. We had to get someone else to get him to come back. When he did, still no menu in site. We gave him our order and he neglected to ask if anyone wanted anything other than the water we had, to drink. So we had to flag him down to ask for something. Our food finally came out and it was bland. The burgers my kids ordered as well done, were almost rare. Bacon missing from the burger and they ran out of ketchup once we asked for it. We asked 5x for a cup of ice before it was given. Our waiter never came back to check on us. He came when it was time to take away the plates and bring the bill.“
“I was recommended this place by a long time local restauranteur. The owners of this truck are HIGHLY respected cooks in the county, especially the Olney area. “I’ve been seeing this restaurant for years and we finally tried it recently. We really were missing out!! Every single item of food that we ordered was absolutely delicious. The service was wonderful and they were so kind and patient with our toddler. They have a great coloring sheet option for kids with crayons and she was distracted for big chunk of time, which was great for us. I really do love it when a restaurant thinks about their younger customers. Really appreciated that. The atmosphere is great and felt very cozy and welcoming. Not too loud, not too quiet — just right. Seating was ample and there was no wait since we were there on a weekday for dinner. We’ll definitely be back soon!“
“I love this place! They have really good food and every time I go there Anthony, Jesse and Zach give us great service. They are attentive and their energy is always on point! I recommend this place if you’re looking to have some good food, good drinks and good vibes!“
