“This place is an 8.5 or 9 out of 10 but it's better than the sun of its parts. We ordered a good selection of food and it was all good. The ambiance was good, chill, the service was prompt and attentive. Presentation was immaculate. The fish was really spectacular and tasted great. Soft, beautifully sliced, and no sticky slimy to be felt. Can especially recommend the white Flint roll, very creative blend of flavors and textures. The only complaint is that the nigiri construction could be better. It was too little rice to the point where the fish to rice ratio felt skewed and the necessary support under the fish was not present. There was also no adhesion of fish to rice, leading to the nigiri falling apart often. Maybe a small dab of wasabi or slightly stickier rice will remedy the problem. Still a great sushi restaurant and worth a visit.“
“Temari Japanese Cafe has become a pretty classic Rockville staple for delicious authentic Japanese food! It does fill up pretty fast on Friday and weekend evenings, so be sure to come early. On my most recent trip I got the Katsu Curry, one of my favorite Japanese comfort food dishes. The curry was thick, rich, and super delicious; bold with flavors, and had potatoes, onions, and beef chunks! Which in combination with the crispy pork katsu on top, its a great combination. They give you plenty of rice and curry too, I just wish there was a bit more katsu given the size of the rest of the plate. Service is really great too, servers are friendly and attentive. I've been here multiple times and it's always a pleasure to dine here.“
“I went here for lunch as I was looking for something a little bit light and this place did not disappoint. Their menu consist of customizable sushi, bowls, and sushi burritos, as well as a variety of drinks and small bites. I got the B5 silver spring roll without the wonton chips and with added eel sauce. The service was very quick and the woman working in the store was very kind and helpful. My burrito was really good and the fish tasted fresh. I opted to eat in my car, but there is plenty of seating within the establishment if you have a small party. This place is located next to the LA fitness in the shopping center. if I'm ever in the area again, I'll definitely stop here for a quick bite.“
“My daughter loves the steamed shrimp shumai so it was eaten in 2 seconds from being unpacked and I didn’t get a pic. The salmon & Ikura sashimi tasted fresh. The Ikura was eaten too fast so no pic but the portion size appeared modest while the thick cut slices of the salmon sashimi is generously cut.The yellowtail jalapeño appetizer is a nice portion for the price but the sauce is too spicy for me but diluting it with soy sauce helps.The folks working here are kind and professional. The dining room is kept clean but not inviting to relax and eat. I prefer to get my orders to go or eat quick and go. I’m glad they’re in the neighborhood!“

Loved that their menu was marked for dietary restrictions (I.e., GF) so we did not have to ask additional on how the dish was prepared. The server was very attentive and all dishes came out fast and fresh. “My husband and I love getting ice cream at Kyoto Matcha. I love the atmosphere and the vibe. We almost always get awesome service. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because one time we ordered a slice of cake to go and we were given a frozen slice. Normally we are asked when we are going to eat it. I asked if we could get a slice that isn’t frozen and the woman helping us didn’t have the best attitude about it. Misunderstandings happen but I don’t think it was handled well that time. The last couple times we’ve come for ice cream have been pleasant. Overall it’s a great place and I’d say one of the best.“
“Yiku is a great casual sushi if you want a quick fix that has a little more than yoyogi. They don't have any extravagant rolls but they do have specialty rolls! I also got the udon soup with a side of shrimp tempura and the tempura was soooo good. Our server was super attentive and the location was convenient.“
“It's a small sushi restaurant on a busy street but there's a public parking garage a couple of feet away. The workers/owners? were nice and quick with service. Even offered recommendations. Not sure if they get a lot of dine-in customers because my friend and I were the only ones there around 6pm. At the end of our meal the server gave us a small plate of fruit, yum! I would definitely go back for a second round.“
“My god is this place good. KENAKI uses high quality fish with modern takes, so you get the quality of a high end sushi restaurant with unique flairs. What drew me to this place was that they serve bluefin tuna (not that cheap hot pink looking tuna) — we got otoro and chutoro. Immediately just melts away in your mouth. The quality of their fish is just next level. I barely had any room to finish my tekka bowl too because I was so excited to eat everything.Hamachi crudo was a great appetizer — grapefruit was slightly sweet and refreshing. Hamachi quality was exceptional.Bluefin tuna was worth every dollar. There are so many varieties to choose from and I can’t wait to go back and get the rest of the bluefin menu.Maki were excellent. And tekka don used chili crisp which was a nice touch. Desserts were so decadent.“
“The food is very good. I was incredibly impressed by the service and overall quality of the food. The ambiance is weird. It is almost like a food court in how it's set up. “Recently went to Fuji Japan since most restaurants in the area were closed and my parents and I were craving some type of Asian cuisine.Food is average, but decent given the price. It's a casual restaurant so when ordering you go up to the counter and pay for your food. If you decide to dine-in they'll serve you. Service is fairly quick though so no complaints about that. I had tried their boba which was not the best but not the worst. I don't think I would get it again in comparison to actually boba stores. It's definitely not tea based but I'm just glad it wasn't overly sweet. The tapioca tasted pretty good though! I recommend their miso soup but their salad and tempura you can skip out on.“
“Overall, I think Moby Dick Sushi is a great spot in the downtown Wheaton area to get your sushi fix. Actually, it's now my go-to sushi spot. I've visited this place on a few occasions, and I have not had any issues with my food and service. Moby Dick has a pretty extension menu that includes traditional and "fancy" food items. For the things that I have ordered (typically the general sushi dinners and basic rolls), I thought the prices are in line with other decent sushi spots in the area. The restaurant is a bit small with about 5-7 tables, so it probably will not work out well if you plan on dining there with 5+ people in your party. Also, the restaurant seems to be geared toward pickup and delivery orders. For instance, I do not think the restaurant has a restroom for customers. If you decide the dine-in, be aware that you will have people constantly walking past you to make or pick up their orders at the front counter.“
“Our Server and the Sushi Chef were very nice and friendly. The menu is very extensive. It was hard to choose because of so many good dishes. I had the Rainbow Sushi and the Avocado salad. The salad had avocado and seaweed salad on a bed of lettuce. Two of my favorites. When I'm in Germantown and need lunch this is the restaraunt I always go to.“

“We used to go here all the time for sushi in the 90's since it was hands down the best in the area. After moving away 30 years ago, we found ourselves back in Germantown again and decided to see if it was still the same. I'm happy to say is it still as PHENOMENAL as ever!!! Again, by far the best sushi in Germantown, and quite possibly the best in the DC metro area! For reference, I was stationed in Japan for a year in the military and while I don't profess to be an expert, I definitely know good sushi. They still have the same fast and friendly service and cost is what I would I'll consider a great bargain considering the current economy. The volcano rolls are a must try. Highly recommend!!!“

“If you are looking for ramen, then I think you're goin, which comes with roasted pork belly, fish cg to enjoy Maki Bar! I ordered the Tonkatsu ramen, which came with roasted pork belly, a little bit of corn, bok choy, scallion and seaweed. The pork belly was tasty. Almost kind of smoky but delicious and not too fatty. The broth was flavorful as well. The staff was friendly. The restaurant was super clean, and it was busy with a lot of take out orders. They even have sushi platters here in case you want to have a party at home! I recommend you come in person if you're going to have ramen. This is more of a place you'd come (or order out) for a casual meal. Maybe not for a date night.“

“Such great quality sushi and fish. We came here starved and while our eyes were bigger than our stomach, we ate almost everything, which is a testament to how great the specialty rolls were. We had the screaming salmon appetizer, lightly seared and full of flavor. We then split the fantasy roll, angel roll, oishii roll, and Alaskan beauty roll. Each were fantastic and a generous portion side. No one rushed us and it was pretty quiet on a Thursday night which was perfect.“

“I love pike kitchen! The vegan bulgogi bibimbap is the best, I am excited to try the vegan dosirak next. They handled an issue with my uber eats order very professionally and kindly. The issue was on ubers end but uber refused to refund me (surprisingly) so Pike Kitchen made it right instead. I really appreciated their understanding of the situation. That level of customer service inspires me to order from them more often for sure. I hope they can expand their veggie options as they are so delicious, healthy and fresh.“

The price of the sushi is reasonable and the taste and flavor of the sushi is of the highest quality. “My husband and I have been coming here for the last 9 years! This is our favorite place. The Sizzling black pepper beef and hot and sour soup is by far my favorite on the menu! The whole menu is delicious and the service is FANTASTIC, the atmosphere is homey and welcoming!!!! If I could give 10 stars I would!“
