“Food was great for the value, we are sushi fans so we really enjoyed the varieties, fish was fresh, slices of scallops were a bit thin but still sweet, although did taste a little bit of fishiness.. sweet shrimp was not big but amazingly sweet, tuna belly ( Toro) was so good and oily like the way it's supposed to. Ikura ( salmon caviar) second to none, a la carte sushi places doesn't even have this quality. there are 10 sushi chef there you're not going to get the same thing all the time but I don't have an issue with that.. generally it's pretty standard things with sauce may tastes a bit different because each chef may put on different amount.. we eat sushi everywhere even in major cities like California, Chicago, Dallas and New York, we enjoy ayce sushi, Bottom line is $35 is a great value for what they offer.“

“We have been going to Kumo Sushi since it first opened about 14 years ago. It is the best sushi restaurant in the entire DMV area!! The quality is top notch. “My friend David Nguyen recommended me this sushi spot in Fairfax and I have to say- I can't believe I didn't come here sooner. The service is fantastic and sushi isn't good- it's phenomenal! We ordered the 208 pieces for 6 of us and we weren't too hungry going into but that sushi boat was devoured in less than 10 mins. He asked me is it my first time here? So Yes! Then he started recommending all of those signature dishes which I was gonna ask him since the first place but he did a very good job beginning with that! Plus he was genuinely kindhearted and care for his guests. The chef(I guess)also delivered food by himself with A5 Wagyu and other stuffs for you! The music also made it a lot more enjoyable! “I've been coming here the past year and a half, and every single time it's consistently fantastic. Their katsu is the best in the DMV, and comparable to what I've had in Japan when I was there last year (personally recommend the fish katsu, and the chicken katsu). The service is always friendly, and the owner often comes out to check on you personally. I almost don't want this place to get too popular so that I always have an open table ready for me, but they really deserve to be a top spot in this area.“

“The best! They get their salmon fresh everyday and you can tell. Watch the sushi chefs - 6 guys behind the bar working constantly when they are busy. All of their food tastes so fresh and tasty. And their cocktails are delicious! Staff is generally super fast. I eat a lot of sushi and this is by far my favorite place!“

“The reviews for this place were so good that I got the salmon poke bowl. I usually don't like poke bowels, but I trust the people's reviews. They gave me the meal in less than 10m, I wanna say closer to 5m. The service was friendly and kind. This was around 3pm, so while everything was quiet. I was impressed they got my meal out so fast, 3pm is generally a lull-in-the-day for restaurants.

I inhaled everything. The miso on the side, and every speck of rice given to me (pictured). Do you know how good food has to be to eat every grain of rice with chopsticks? The sauce was so good, I thought about having a piece of bread to swipe against the bottom to really clean out the bowl. I had a religious experience inhaling everything. The salmon melted in my mouth, the sauce was excellent. They added just enough spice to contribute to the sauce flavor.

Anyways the poke bowl had some raw onions, zucchini(?), and avocado. I wish there was more rice, but that's just particular to me, most people will find the rice/meat ratio perfect. I ate somewhat awkwardly next to the owners/workers in the food court, but I hope it was gratifying for them to see me eat everything so fast.

Take this review with a grain of salt, as I was starving at the time, but 10/10 would come again. This restaurant is an unexpected gem inside of lotte.“

“I’ve found a new favorite Japanese restaurant! Real Japanese food made with actual Japanese ingredients, not the same as the stuff you find in mall food courts or at that [FAST]way chain joint. I ordered the Chicken and Steak Hibachi and the Chicken Yakisoba, and they were both delicious! Portions aren’t generous though, but healthy; you won’t feel overstuffed after eating.“

The food was excellent, we both enjoyed what we got and kept talking about how good it was. The best part of our whole meal was our server Jaden. He was very patient with us as first timers and gave great recommendations. My girlfriend and I had a good time with him and great laughs, Jaden and the whole restaurant is a main reason we’ll keep coming back and bring our friends!“

Best house salad I’ve ever had at a sushi restaurant. Then we both had rolls that were amazing! Joanne was our waitress and she was so kind and efficient. “Sushi Ohayo All You Can Eat was absolutely packed when we went, which usually says a lot, but the service still stayed great the whole time. The food was pretty good overall, especially for an all you can eat spot, and we ended up trying the hibachi too, which honestly was not bad at all. For the price, it felt like a solid deal with plenty of options and a good experience even with how busy it was. Definitely worth checking out if you are in the mood to eat a lot without breaking the bank.“
