“The food is insanely good . Every dish we ordered was prepared to perfect quality . The lasagna was rich and amazing and not smothered with cheese . The grilled whole chicken is so tender and the sauce is rich. The lobster pasta was so good too. Highly highly recommended by my family and my 3 teenagers .“

“My birthday weekend would not be complete with dining at Caruso's Grocery in Capitol Hill for some Italian. My old reliable is the Spicy Neapolitan Ragu. How can a classic dish that is so simple be soooo good and why doesn't my spaghetti and meat sauce at home taste like this??lolThe Spicy Neapolitan Ragù is traditional, flavorful, amazing meat sauce that is cooked with love and to die for. Which is probably why it is featured on the cover page of their website. The Bucatini Pasta comes out smoking hot topped with a dollop of creamy whipped ricotta.Chef's kiss or "Molto Delizioso" (Italian for very delicious per google lol)“

“Very cute and innovative Japanese-Italian fusion spot! I had the Vongole Ramen, which was very tasty, although also extremely rich so perhaps difficult to finish towards the end.The onigiri was also interesting, although many of them were a bit lacking in filling.“

“Checked out San Lorenzo for the first time the other night - I have been in DC for years, but just recently moved to the Shaw neighborhood and had heard good things about this spot. Christina the GM was super friendly and helpful, making me feel very welcome and the bartender I spoke to, Efron, gave some great menu recommendations. The Seafood Linguine was fantastic! Will absolutely be back.“

“We were bowled over by this place. We got there at 4.45pm as a walk in and were sat straight at the bar. Get there early if you want a seat! The food was absolutely outstanding, but Andrew the lovely bar waiter was the highlight of the night for us. He was so warm. informative and professional. Very much recommended.“

“We were in a Rush to find something to eat at the end of a very long day, and found this cute little restaurant that was said to have good gluten-free options. We were lucky to get seated pretty quickly on a Monday evening, and the waiter took great care of us. I had a nice gluten-free lamb bolognese, and the others at our table really enjoyed their dishes as well. The waiter was even able to bring out gluten-free bread for me. Allergen safety seems to be quite excellent at this restaurant.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free and nut free options available.“

“We are tourist & was searching for a place too eat since our first choice for dinner totally ignored us after we sat there 30 minutes we left. This pizza joint is absolutely delicious. The thin crust was delicious especially on the cheese pizza. The only negative thing I have too say is y’all charging too much for a house salad. I mean if you gonna charge $14 @ least give me something other than basic lettuce.“

“Was on a trip to the area in April and had dinner at the Shirlington location. I am still telling people about the best eggplant parmesan I have ever had! Everything was excellent! Definitely would recommend to people going that way. I only wish I had picked up something from their shop to bring home with me for another time.“

“The deli meat is freshly cut, veggie toppings were plentiful and fresh and the sub roll is THE BEST hoagie roll ever. Chewy deliciousness. The kids had a simple ham and cheese the first day that was so good, we came back for an Italian hoagie the next day. The icing on the cake though was the customer service from Coretha. Be prepared to be entertained. She will wake you up with her kindness and humor after a long day of sitting inside the convention center.“

“Nestled neatly into Barracks Row, this longtime establishment offers an incredible cozy atmosphere. It's a fantastic family run business and the staff were great. The tortellini alla panna was delicious. The penne alla vodka was solid, but a little bland. I'm eager to come back to try more of the menu. Highly recommend to those in the area looking for a casual italian spot.“

“Fun spot for dinner and good food. Our server was very nice, yet didn't course out our food, so we had two pasta dishes and fish show up at the same time. The octopus starter was my favorite dish. The pasta and fish were also good, but not necessarily the hottest when we ate them, given everything arriving at once“

“Great food, super cute and chic ambiance, and easy, prompt service. The menu has all the classics of an upscale Italian restaurant and the flavors + portions don't disappoint! I had the Burrata, the mushroom pasta, and the broccolini - all were well prepared and delicious. The price point is certainly on the higher side but nonetheless it's a cute and cosy spot that I hope to be back to soon. Glad to have this option in the neighborhood!“

“A first date cancelled on my 20 minutes before we were supposed to meet. My super sweet server consoled me and even gave me a free dessert. The whole staff was unbelievably nice, and my Monday night half price pizza was delish. I've also had the pasta in the past and thought it was great, too. Cozy decor. I recommend.“

“My son and I ate at Bacio today and let me say we had a wonderful experience. We sat on the cute patio and it was so peaceful and quiet, you wouldn’t know you were in the middle of DC. The server was friendly and attentive. I liked the alcohol selection, and had wine. We enjoyed mozzarella sticks which we could tell were made in house and not just reheated from frozen like in most other places. The pizza my son got was fresh and delicious. I enjoyed my arugula salad with shrimp. I wish they were a little more cooked but that is a personal preference. The desserts very very good too, we really liked the limoncello raspberry cake. We really highly recommend this place and we can’t wait to go back!“

“RPM definitely hit the spot. They have an amazing happy hour menu at the bar (drinks and apps from 3-530pm, 7 days a week). Pizza was small but a good app. It gets packed, make sure you get there early. Steaks were amazing and the service put it over the top (in a good way). If you are looking for great pasta and steak, this is the spot. Price wise, this is what you expect a resturant like this to be. I will be frequenting for sure.“

“The best hard roll sub in DC has got to be the G Man. My family has been eating them for well over 40 years. It's a family run carry out that has consistently made the same sandwich's for my family my whole entire life. If I'm in the neighborhood, I pick some up for everyone. It's a tradition my father started and I happily carry it on.“

“The staff were all welcoming from the start. The food was AMAZING! The owner came to our table to check on our evening. We were very happy and I must say the Filet Mignon with balsamic glaze was one of the best I’ve ever had and I’ve eaten at 3 star Michelin restaurants . The evening was important to us as we got engaged that day. I highly recommend this wonderful little jewel of a restaurant !!“

“The service at Centrolina was amazing! I came on a busy Thursday night without a reservation and we were quickly accommodated. Once seated our waiter was warm and welcoming. He provided great recommendations and continued to check on us throughout our meal. Every bite was amazing and they had a great selection of mocktails. The vibe was buzzy but not to loud to enjoy a conversation at the table. Definitely a spot I will visit again.“

“After a night out on the town drinking with my boys Reggie, Clyde and Billy Boy our Uber dropped us off at this bar. After having our fill of booze there we needed something salty in our system so we saw this pizza joint in walking distance. The dudes behind the counter were pretty chill and even let us sit for a minute while we was waiting for our pizza. It was around 1 am and they still made it for us which was a plus. Four drunken fools up to no good lol. Thanks for exemplary service and excellent food. we def coming back thats for true :-D“

“Absolutely incredible experience! The tasting menu and wine pairings were perfect and the service is unparalleled. Our server was even kind enough to give us a hand written note with the specific wines we had so we could enjoy the memory again at home. Thank you for making my partner's birthday so special. And the take home breakfast pastries they gave us were too good to be true. Will definitely be back!“

“The bbq chicken pizza was amazing! It is a little confusing walking inside. It’s set up like a sit down and order, but it’s not. There are two tablets blending into the wall to the right as you walk in. There is also another one towards the back. The place is clean. The staff is not extra friendly but also not rude.“

“Went here with a friend on a Thursday. We made reservations online which I recommend because it can get crowded around dinner time. Then started bread was good. I got this gnocchi truffle pasta and my friend got bolognese. She really liked hers! I did enjoy mine but it felt like it was missing just a little extra flavor. It was still a good experienc. Sat the patio which was heated and very nicely decorated. I’d love to come back and try other pastas!“

“I Love Italian - and when I say this place has THE BEST MEATBALLS I've ever tasted - it's saying a lot! The mushroom gnocchi was light and delish! Not to mention the roasted cauliflower, burrata and garlic bread!! It was a feast and worth every bite! The staff was friendly, polite and aimed to please! The decor and vibe super cool. “Heard so many great things about this restaurant and couldn't wait to try it. For a Monday at 3pm it was surprisingly busy but the staff was very attentive from the hostess to our great sever. We ordered loaded potato skins. This toppings especially the bacon was plentiful. (See pic for inside view) although the skins were great the marinara sauce was out of this world! I should have stuck with the items with the tomato sauce for my entree. For the main I ordered the stuffed flounder and quite frankly it was extremely bland. The noodles had no flavor of their own and the crab meat also was very lacking. The fish was kind of tasty 2/5 overall. We also ordered a pizza to go and that was good even on the reheat would absolutely come back to order a dish with red sauce.“

“This place is highly underrated and needs your business. Why? Incredible wine selection, quality food, super kind staff, vibey music, and reasonable prices. You want to wait an hour or two to go eat at El Presidente, Pastis, and St. Anselm? Me neither. Those restaurants are great but we are overlooking this hidden gem. Pictured: valtellina bruschette, marinated olives, and seafood paella.Wheelchair accessibility: There is an ADA ramp to get to the restaurant.“

“Ya know, I’ve supported this business many times. Not gonna say it’s the warmest service but they’re nice enough and the food is amazing, specifically the veal parmigiana. However, today, I was very disappointed. I called ahead for a carry out order, I was hung up on, called back told it would be a long wait. It ended up being a two hour wait. The ONE thing I emphasized was wanting a side of Alfredo. It’s why I ordered the entree I did, and it’s why I ordered garlic bread. After a much anticipated two hour wait, I get home, and there’s no Alfredo. It’s been a hard day. It ruined my meal. Sad girl.SN best veal parmigiana (while I didn’t order that today)But no Alfredo…that ruined the night for me after a two hour wait“

“Food was tasty and service was good. The tip was factored into the bill so there was no trying to figure out what the tip was supposed to be. A HUGE issue for us however was the noise level. We couldn’t hear our waitress, we couldn’t hear each other and ended up with a miscommunication that resulted in one of our party not getting what they believed they had ordered.“

“Olive Garden is as good as you will get for a chain restaurant. We really weren't going there because the food is top tier, we went because it has a great family atmosphere which ends up making the food taste. Little better. The service was superb for our party of 25 and I would definitely come back just for that. Even when we were leaving the manager (or who I thought) was the manager greeted us all goodbye and made sure our service was good during ordering. Just an added touch of care. Thank you for a great family memory and the price isn't bad either.“

“Love the pizza. But ... Seasoning is KEPT on the top of the trash receptacle. I once asked staff behind the counter if they could keep it elsewhere, but it didn't do any good. Yech!I went there last night and they had seasoning on top of the trash, as usual. They had seasoning in plastic containers like what you'd have sour cream or cottage cheese in. But with no top at all. Putting garlic powder on my slice without putting too much on was a challenge. You guys gotta do better.Update: Thanks for your response. I mentioned the issue once to your staff. They told me when they put the seasonings in a different spot, customers just put them back atop the trash.I don't believe that because *every single time I go there, they're *only on the trash container -- *never anywhere else. Ever. And .. even if that *were true? Figure out a way to prevent them from being removed -- or maybe put on top of the trash something round or whatever to prevent them from staying on top.Somehow, there's a way to prevent this problem. If you succeed, then I promise to delete from this review the part about the trash. If you don't, I'll add photos.“

“Used them to cater a charity event at the Fillmore in Silver Spring Saturday 3/9/24. Anthony was absolutely the best. Made ordering and making changes at the last minute no big deal. “So I’ve never had Chicago deep dish pizza before. I’ve always thought that it would be too much of a good thing too. My husband saw Rosati’s as we passed by and made a note to come back next time we were around, fast forward to today and I just had my first ever taste of Chicago style deep dish pizza and it was amazing! It wasnt too much of anything. It was well balanced, the flavor was good, and it wasn’t super greasy. I’m surprised at how much it wasn’t what I expected it would be. I’m now into deep dish pizza - love at first slice (va dum tsh). Def recommend, food is good, staff was very nice, and I’ve got multiple meals coming. Stop in if you like good pizza.“

“Walked by this place and went in on a whim. It was self seating, but we were greeted as we walked in. They had a nice robust menu and the service was fast. We had layers to drink so they left a pitcher for us. There was no rushing to get out of there and was definitely a great place for how relatively inexpensive it was for three people to eat. I am excited to go back.“

“First time at Grazie Grazie, and it's not bad !The food is correct, the size is big, especially the sandwich. The salad was good too, even if it was a little bit too much dressing in it. I found the bottom of the lettuce in my salad (last photo). You never put this part in a salad, that's a big mistake...Overall, it's a good stop to eat quickly. The service is fast.Decoration is nice.“

My date was a vegetarian and the staff happily worked with her to ensure her order fit her dietary restrictions. I will definitely be coming back.“
“Great place to stop in for lunch! It's strictly deli style so there is not any seating but our food was ready very fast. Very authentic Italian feel.
