“We were a little surprised to start the evening by ringing a doorbell to get in, but the warm welcome that followed put us at ease right away. The atmosphere is fantastically unique, quirky, and full of character. The bartenders were genuinely friendly and the service was quick.

We ordered the Mac ’n’ Cheese with Jerk Chicken, Yuca Bites, Chorizo con Arroz y Gandules and the Cinnamon Mini Donuts. Everything was perfectly seasoned (especially great if you enjoy a bit of heat like we do). The only downside was that the portions felt a bit on the smaller side.

It also looks like they host a lot of interesting events like book readings, sip-and-paints, comedy shows and more. We didn’t get a chance to attend one this time, but it definitely added to the charm and made us want to come back.“

“I've never been in the actual bar Part but if I have to go to a liquor store in the neighborhood it is by far the best one. Good selection, reasonable prices, tend to keep a lot of the riff Raff and beggars from hanging out. The owners and people that work there are very nice also. There's at least 12 liquor stores right here within walking distance and if they're open they're the ones that I spend my money with. Even late at night I feel safe going to the ATM here.“

“This is the epitome of a great neighborhood Baltimore bar. It’s got its regulars, but welcome to all. A great place to watch an Orioles game or a ravens game as well. It has been around for years and change ownership about five or so years ago, but the new owner is great and truly cares about the place and her patrons.It’s a national treasure and a must visit for everyone in the area.“

“Mount Royal Tavern is the epitome of a dive bar. 90% of its patrons are long-standing locals who have been coming there regularly for years to unwind their day with a drink or three. Always like a family environment. Always welcoming newcomers. The only food served is something very close to chips and pretzels but you're free to bring your own or get something delivered. Drinks are cheap. I mean CHEAP, but not diluted, with very generous servings. When it's warm, they often throw the grill on in the back and you never know if someone is serving fish that they just caught or just some hot dogs with a few others who've chipped in to do a potluck. This establishment has been around for decades. If you've ever seen Cheers, Mount Royal Tavern is definitely the Baltimore equivalent, but better.“

I got the Caribbean Blue, I believe it's called, & man on man ‍. “Odie’s is a great local bar to hang out and soak up the atmosphere with good people. When you go, say a special hi to both Jamie and Ryan. They are always top notch on service and can make just about anything you’d want. I love coming here to watch sporting events, especially Football bc the screens are plentiful, clear and large in diameter. The best part is the food, which is amazing. My personal go to are the spicy peach wings. I think I’ve had them at least once for the past six weeks. “I made a reservation for my Hubby's birthday dinner.

This establishment was easy to locate, provided free parking, very clean, and had great tv's for sports viewing.

We were seated immediately upon arrival and greeted by Adam.
Adam had a great personality larger than life!!

Great recommendations, fantastic flow of food, and perfect for our party of 13.

Firecracker Grilled Wings - Amazing
Brewpub Pretzel - Very tender, tasty, and huge. Magnificent mustard came w pretzel.
Crab Dip - Plentiful, above average.

Brickoven Pies (Cheese) - A table hit!!
Bayou Burrito - A lot of flavor, great size.
Cheesesteak Eggrolls - The table couldn't get enough of this yumminess!!

Louisiana Red Jambalaya - Whoa! Large portion, flavorful, and very good.

Each and everything was great, except a double shot ordered at the table. It was smaller than a single shot. We didn't want to make a scene, so we dealt w it. But never again.

Overall, it was a great visit!

Parking: Parking available on both sides of the street directly outside the store and lounge. Also, a couple of spots on the side of the building.“

“Mannnnnn!! This place was ?, it's a hidden gem. We stumbled upon it last Thursday and they had a live band. Wow, she covered Erykah Badu and I've never in my life heard anyone cover Badu, it was fantastic!! The owner and staff was great and the food was delicious. No,it's not a restaurant but they had a pop up chef selling Dinners...amazing food! Now let's talk about the drinks....the bartender was enjoyable, kind and she understood what I needed!!! We had an incredible time and will be going back Thursday...don't let the appearance fool you, very quaint with good energy!!“

“Been going to highland inn for 2 plus years. Love the crowd and the price of drinks. I love the weekend music too but I do have a question. Friday and Saturday usually 1am music turn off and closed at 2am.
Recently the highland inn bar and grill has been closing Friday and Saturday at 1am and shutting down the music by 12.
Will this be a new permanent change now?“

My most recent visit was no exception as far as my drink (the Baltimore Cosmo) was concerned, but it was especially nice because the bartender, Khadijah, was very friendly and a good conversationalist. It has a small group of regulars and if you know who I'm referring to then you're probably one of them. But outside of them most people just keep to themselves.
