“While this won’t stop us from ordering their delicious food again, tonight’s experience just wasn’t the same. I ordered the family package with vegetarian Biryani, which included raita, salan, plain rice, naam, and chicken curry. We got our order and it was missing the salan. I called the restaurant and got the weirdest explanation. “It’s a very small container. They make a large container and if it runs out. But it’s just a small container of peanut sauce.” I don’t care what the size of the container is, it’s advertised as a package and I expect everything in the order.“

“Royal Taj is our go-to restaurant for special occasions, like our 20th Wedding Anniversary last week. It never fails to deliver excellence. Because it was a very special dinner, we decided to try something different. So my wife ordered the Lobster Malabar and I ordered the Grilled Halibut. Both were very good, especially the Halibut which was covered in an outstanding Corn Relish. To top off the evening our excellent server, Joshi, brought us a slice of very tasty cheesecake with a lit candle on top. As usual we cannot rave loud and often enough about Royal Taj and it is all due to the GM Binda, who is very friendly, charismatic and truly sets the tone of excellence at Royal Taj.“

“We have gotten carry out/delivery from Bella for a few years now. Love the Chicken Tikka Pizza and Samosa Chaat, especially. The only dish that seems to miss the mark is the Bindi Masala - the okra is really fibrous,;ended up not finishing the dish because it was way too stringy to chew; we've ordered it twice now and are reluctant to try a third time. Hopefully it was just a bad batch of the veg?“

“I really enjoyed the food I had, starting with the vegetable samosa, and for my meal, I had the lamb shahi korma. I took an order of the butter chicken home with me. I also had the butter naan and a mango lassi with my meal. I really enjoy Indian food and this location is very convenient and close to my home. I will definitely come here again and will have their lunch buffet.“

“These guys make very good food, and they are very eager to please. They have two menus, one with American food like pizza and burgers and fried chicken, and the other with Indian food. Personally I like their non-curry dishes. It is quite spicy and never bland. Tonight I had the chicken thigh dinner which was very soft and spicy. It was fantastic. They also seemed to have invested a good amount of money into this place. Nice quality interior and good parking outside. The owner and the hostess both came to the table personally and asked us about how the food tastes. These people really care.“

“I recently visited Biryani and Bakers and I was thoroughly impressed by both the variety and quality of the food. The staff is very warm and welcoming. This restaurant offers an extensive menu that caters to all tastes. However, what truly stole the show was their chicken biryani – it was absolutely delicious! Guthivankaya biryani is also amazing! The portions were generous, and the accompanying raita complemented the dish perfectly.
I must say this is the best biryani I ever had in Maryland!!“

Special occasions when the mood is right, we go to the ambassador for that special taste of Indian cuisine. I’ve been going to the ambassador for the last 20 years. “This takeout-only restaurant sits at the back of an unassuming convenience store—I definitely would never have discovered it if not for Maps. Despite the setting, though, the food here is wonderful—everything is home cooked to order, with rich spices and brought out boiling hot. And did I mention cheap??? You get so much food, and a more than generous discount if you pay cash.

Like the other reviews, I would recommend calling ahead by 20-30 minutes to order, and then carry out to your preferred eating location! But it’s well worth a visit :)“

“The food is outstanding. I eat it at least 3-4 a week. My favorite is chicken madras, it is like nothing I have ever eaten before. The savory spices make my mouth water just thinking about it. The chicken is tender, and I can’t seem to get enough. I eat the whole portion by myself. I highly recommend this restaurant and I forgot to mention the service is outstanding. It is worth the money I spend to eat there.“
