“Located inside the lotte plaza food court, this is the place to be if you crave true traditional hyderabadi cuisine. Love the goat biriyani, goat Mandi and awesome traditional deserts. Must try the apricot delight.

“This was my first time visit for lunch, and I ordered carry-out. To place and pick up my order was speedy & pleasant. Street parking was available directly in front of the restaurant.

The dining room was bright, clean and bustling. There was a lunch buffet in progress during my pick up. I observed many options to choose from on display. However, I had already ordered the Tarka Daal, Chapati, Aloo Paratha & the Chicken Tika Masala.

Everything I ordered was spiced to the correct heat level, flavorful & quality.

The price points are standard and well worth the price. I'm definitely going to check out this place again.“

Special occasions when the mood is right, we go to the ambassador for that special taste of Indian cuisine. I’ve been going to the ambassador for the last 20 years. “Royal Taj is our go-to restaurant for special occasions, like our 20th Wedding Anniversary last week. It never fails to deliver excellence. Because it was a very special dinner, we decided to try something different. So my wife ordered the Lobster Malabar and I ordered the Grilled Halibut. Both were very good, especially the Halibut which was covered in an outstanding Corn Relish. To top off the evening our excellent server, Joshi, brought us a slice of very tasty cheesecake with a lit candle on top. As usual we cannot rave loud and often enough about Royal Taj and it is all due to the GM Binda, who is very friendly, charismatic and truly sets the tone of excellence at Royal Taj.“

“I really enjoyed the food I had, starting with the vegetable samosa, and for my meal, I had the lamb shahi korma. I took an order of the butter chicken home with me. I also had the butter naan and a mango lassi with my meal. I really enjoy Indian food and this location is very convenient and close to my home. “🥰 MR. AMIR and his family are absolutely lovely people. This is a family run business in the heart of Baltimore social life, between Inner Harbor, Harbor East and Fells Point (more to Fells Point side). It is our favorite Indian restaurant in Baltimore by far. My husband and I really enjoy their lunch buffets, they service freshly made food and have a variety of options. The lunch buffet has Indian salads, sometimes vegetable samosas, at least a few different meat entrees, at least a few different vegetable entrees, dessert, and always hot chai tea with sugar options. My husband and I enjoy going to not only eat the food, but also appreciate how friendly and hospitable Amir and his family are. They also have respectful staff, and run a very peaceful operation. We appreciate every visit, and when we leave, we feel like we have gained 5 pounds each (in a good way!). Looking forward to our next visit :) Thank you Mr. Amir and family!“

“My wife and I came in today for the lunch buffet, and everything was wonderful. It was hard to choose, but I did find my favorites that I went back for more of. Afterward, I wished I had saved room for dessert, because that was great too. They were very accommodating with my wife’s dairy allergy, and prepared some dishes, especially for her. We have been making our way through the menu over time, and I now have too many favorites to order in one vending even though they are small plates. (They have regular entrees, too, but I’m in a situationship with the small plates). On top of all that, the service is great, and friendly. “Absolutely Delicious – Best Fish Sub Around! I can’t say enough good things about East Drive Kitchen! I stopped in on a whim and decided to try their fish sub—and WOW. Hands down one of the best fish subs I’ve ever had! The fish was perfectly crispy on the outside, tender and flavorful on the inside. The bread was fresh and soft, and the toppings were just right—not too much, not too little. You can tell they take pride in their food. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the service was fast, even during the lunch rush. If you’re in the area and craving something satisfying, do yourself a favor and get the fish sub. “Been here twice, once was years ago pre-pandemic and it was fabulous. We said we should come back here more often but never did… then the pandemic messed everything up and we went travel nursing. Now we’re back in town again… AND ITS STILL AMAZING. I got a jalfrezi, and hubby got tikka masala. The medium felt like a true medium, not whitewashed. Service was lovely. We were one of two couples who dined in, but looks like they have a busy takeout business. So glad they didn’t disappear in the pandemic like so many other places! I have eaten lots of Indian food UP & down the east coast… India Tandoor is GREAT!

Hidden in a small convenience store in an end of the block row house, with just a small folding sign out front… this is truly a hidden gem.

Truly tastes authentic, lots of chicken included, and the sauce separates to show all the tasty layers before you get to mix it all back up. Rice was well seasoned and flavorful. Good portion of rice too. Food stayed warm on the 30m trip home too.“

“These guys make very good food, and they are very eager to please. They have two menus, one with American food like pizza and burgers and fried chicken, and the other with Indian food. Personally I like their non-curry dishes. It is quite spicy and never bland. Tonight I had the chicken thigh dinner which was very soft and spicy. It was fantastic. They also seemed to have invested a good amount of money into this place. Nice quality interior and good parking outside. The owner and the hostess both came to the table personally and asked us about how the food tastes. These people really care.“

“Hands down the best Indian food I’ve had in Owings Mills — every dish was bursting with flavor! If you’re anywhere near Owings Mills and craving Indian food, you need to check out Tikka Shack. We dined in as a family and tried a huge variety of dishes — and honestly, everything was outstanding. We tried everything at house spice - there were addition levels of heat for those interested. We had the Shrimp Coconut Tacos, Paneer Butter Taco, Tikka Pizza with chicken, Chicken Biryani, Mango Lassi, Ras Malai, Street Style Chaat (both the samosa and potato versions), Tikka Masala, Garlic Naan, and Samosas. For drinks we had fountain coke, Maasa Lychee, and Tractor Orange Cadamon. Every dish had its own personality — from the bold spices to the fresh garnishes — and each one was delicious. The restaurant itself is super clean with plenty of seating, and the staff couldn’t have been friendlier. We even ordered some extra to bring home for our lunches the next day! All in all - we all left happy and full! Highly recommend this spot — it’s perfect for families, groups, or even takeout if you just want seriously good Indian grub at home.“

“Fairly new to visiting the restaurant however the four (4) times I have dined or had carryout, the staff was welcoming, pleasant, the food was delicious (sidebar: I recommend the cream of crab soup), and the atmosphere was relaxing. My high school class reunion committee even planned our meeting there and was able to plan professionally without a lot of interruptions and A-1 service. I would recommend and do not have any bad reviews! Continue being a staple in the community.“

“While this won’t stop us from ordering their delicious food again, tonight’s experience just wasn’t the same. I ordered the family package with vegetarian Biryani, which included raita, salan, plain rice, naam, and chicken curry. We got our order and it was missing the salan. I called the restaurant and got the weirdest explanation. “It’s a very small container. They make a large container and if it runs out. But it’s just a small container of peanut sauce.” I don’t care what the size of the container is, it’s advertised as a package and I expect everything in the order.“

A great all rounder if you like to get a tasting of a bunch of dishes at a go. Also a call out for the coriander chicken dish, well marinated and cooked to a tender, flavorful awesomeness.
