“Finally found my go to dining spot in Towson: Kathmandu did not disappoint. Manoj, owner's nephew, provided excellent service. Everything I ordered was pretty delish: veggie pakora, chicken soup and chicken gorkhali. Particularly loved the flavoring and spices of gorkhali, and sliced ginger pieces make each bite that much nicer. This will be a repeat dining spot for my Towson business stays. Highly recommend this place to anyone that likes Nepalese and Indian cuisine as many of their dishes are a crossover from Indian food.“

“We just had the best experience at this restaurant. The staff were very helpful and polite sharing lots of big smiles. We got the lamb chops which I can honestly say are some of the best we’ve had at any restaurant. The chicken in the Tikka Masala was melt in your mouth tender. The restaurant was recommended to us by a friend who grew up in India. He said it’s true to his memories of food from his mother land. Please give this restaurant a try. You won’t be disappointed. “I usually don’t eat Indian food, too spicy, but the ambassador makes the food just perfect for my taste. Special occasions when the mood is right, we go to the ambassador for that special taste of Indian cuisine. I’ve been going to the ambassador for the last 20 years. “Loveeeeee. Great food and drinks. Helpful location if you’re doing something downtown. We went for dinner and drinks before seeing a comedy show around the corner. The service was slow, though. There were 5 customers inside when we went and we waited so long for our order to be taken. Then, our food took a while. It was really good, as were the drinks. I would definitely go back but we cut it close to the show time. Parking is rough around here so plan ahead.“

“Been here twice, once was years ago pre-pandemic and it was fabulous. We said we should come back here more often but never did… then the pandemic messed everything up and we went travel nursing. Now we’re back in town again… AND ITS STILL AMAZING. I got a jalfrezi, and hubby got tikka masala. The medium felt like a true medium, not whitewashed. Service was lovely. We were one of two couples who dined in, but looks like they have a busy takeout business. So glad they didn’t disappear in the pandemic like so many other places! This is a family run business in the heart of Baltimore social life, between Inner Harbor, Harbor East and Fells Point (more to Fells Point side). It is our favorite Indian restaurant in Baltimore by far. My husband and I really enjoy their lunch buffets, they service freshly made food and have a variety of options. The lunch buffet has Indian salads, sometimes vegetable samosas, at least a few different meat entrees, at least a few different vegetable entrees, dessert, and always hot chai tea with sugar options. My husband and I enjoy going to not only eat the food, but also appreciate how friendly and hospitable Amir and his family are. They also have respectful staff, and run a very peaceful operation. We appreciate every visit, and when we leave, we feel like we have gained 5 pounds each (in a good way!). Looking forward to our next visit :) Thank you Mr. Amir and family!“

“We weren’t too sure on what to order here when we first arrived but we ordered quite a few dishes to share amongst our table. Everything came out hot and fresh. If we weren’t sure what something was, it was explained to us so we knew what we were ordering. The spices were really amazing and perfect along with the sauces too. I will definitely be coming back to order more. Missed taking pictures of some of the dishes because they smelled so good so we ended up eating before the first few pictures“

“Went for the lunch buffet and had a lovely time! The corn saag was probably my favorite item. Since I went on a weekday there wasn’t too much traffic. I appreciated the attentiveness and how kind of staff were. The lunch buffet had a decent amount of options for vegetarians and other eaters. I don’t know if the items rotate so I can’t say anything for that, but I imagine they would. Thank you for giving me such a good dining experience, I will be back!“

“I had an issue with my order from GrubHub that unfortunately led to me not receiving it but the manager called me two days later to let me know he was out for a couple days and was so sorry to hear about my troubles. He immediately offered to fix it and sent me the food I had been waiting on free of charge. He really made me feel better about the situation and like he cared. I have never had someone show me that level of concern for my issue. All my friends recommend this place, and I am happy to say that I do as well.“

Indian Pizza was the hook that drew me in. The Indian food on the menu is fantastic, and then the Indian pizza? Its the best pizza in Baltimore and can hold its own with the best up north. Seriously. The staff is kind and its the perfect spot to order and pick up food. But yeah, the pizza here is as good as advertised if not better.“
