“We recently had an early dinner at Sunshine Grille. The waiter was very kind, knowledgeable and attentive. And the food was amazing. I had the Salmon bowl and my husband had the pork chops! Oh, and the dessert’s! Of course we ordered a dessert to go! We’ll be back soon!“

“I came for the food and got an entire experience. I had the curry chicken, jerk chicken AND the oxtails, everything was seasoned right and full of flavor. Definitely some real soul food.

But what really made the place stand out is there’s more to it than food. They have karate classes in the basement, plus books, essential oils, herbs and other products in the shop.

“The food was good but nothing upscale outside of the smaller portion and the price as far as the food goes. Had my family and lack of taste across the board on the entrees and smaller portions then would have expected which was disappointing. Waited a while to try the place out and the food left a little to be desired. The service was great, friendly and attentive waitress and the setting was nice and upscale.“

Kristen (can’t remember the spelling) was the bartender and amazing and very attentive. 5 star experience. What also impressed me was they had a special part on their check that had a separate 2% specially going towards their cooking staff which I happily did. I just thought that was cool. Definitely a goto now for brunch.“

Checks are paid on digital devices while servers ‘hover’ not allowing comfort in completing the digital survey, Especially if you want to make any recommendations or negative comments.“

“We recently had my dad’s 65th birthday celebration at Della Rose’s and the entire event was made easy from start to finish. The staff made planning everything from menu options to space for the celebration effortless. During the celebration, staff was attentive and made sure everything was as we wanted. “Great little diner that's been around for years. My first time here, heard about it from friends. The creamed chipped beef was very good and the pancakes are also good. I had the peanut butter pancakes which were old fashioned style: you put the peanut butter on yourself. There was only one waitress there that I could see, thank goodness it wasn't very busy at 10AM. Overall a good experience.“

From the very beginning, the entire team went above and beyond—but the real star of the show was the manager, Keith. He didn’t just help coordinate the event—he genuinely cared about making it special. He offered creative ideas like incorporating decorations and even setting up a slideshow, which made the night feel so personal and memorable. When I ran into technical issues with the slideshow (of course, right before the party!), Keith didn’t miss a beat—he went out of his way to find an outside tech person to help get everything up and running. That level of dedication is rare, and it meant the world to me. The food was absolutely amazing, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff were all incredibly friendly and attentive. Everything came together perfectly, and my best friend was completely surprised—it was a night we’ll never forget. “I had a 50th Birthday party for my brother on Saturday, April 8th, 2023 in the evening. The atmosphere at the restaurant was amazing, food was fresh and hot. The best part was our server "Ciara R", she was excellent and provided the best service to my party guest. I would definitely have another event here and would request to have Ciara again.
