“The Qabuli Rice was gently seasoned, without being overwhelming, and studded with moist tender lamb. Equally impressive were the spinach and okra dishes that were fresh, tasty, and well cooked. Along with the side salad [lemony and slightly spicy], these side dishes were competing for my attention for the above reasons and being less greasy than most places. I suggested to the owner that the side vegetables should be made into a combo dish, to which they accommodated my request. Smart decor and amiable service. Their house-made saffron ice-cream is on my next visit list.“

“I just stopped by to pick up an online order while on a walk with my new 6 month old puppy.
She's kinda nervous and doesn't like going through doors she's unfamiliar with rn so I was struggling to bring her inside.
I wanted to leave this review to specifically thank the manager (I think his name is Tyler? Tall guy, big beard usually wears the red grumps shirt) who saw that I was struggling and came over to the door, got my name and brought me my order outside. He was so kind and said hi to my dog, pet her and we talked about how he had a few dogs of his own.

Just wanted to shout out what a kind gesture this was and I really appreciated it. Don't know what this guy makes but he should get a raise for sure. I always see him when I'm there taking care of everything and everyone, customers and fellow coworkers alike.“

“Best food on campus, breakfast and lunch. Pre-made breakfast burritos are toasty, warm, and ENORMOUS. Not for the faint of heart (me) unless you want to be sent into a food coma (which I was) and sleep through your afternoon class (worth it). Don't even get me started on the sandwiches at lunch. I get an egg salad sandwich (hummus if they're out of egg salad) on toasted rye with all the fixings -- and I mean ALL of them. You can get a mile-high stacker that's caving in on itself for a single meal swipe here. What do you get at Chick-fil-a? A single piece of chicken on soggy bread. The service here at the Coffee Shop is amazing, too. Workers are super nice and fun to chat with. If you've just finished working out at the RAC, swing in here to cancel out all those calories you burned because you earned it, champ.

“Worked in adjacent building for a few years before the pandemic, and then switched jobs, and now am down the road. Starting the day with a breakfast sandwich from the Merriweather Cafe & Deli would sustain me the entire day sometimes, and the staff there are very friendly, which also adds to starting off the day nicely. I hadn't been there in a while and was glad to see they are still open. NOTE: There is no big sign on the building. There is a glass door on the first floor (by the main upper parking lot entrance) and just has a sign saying Merriweather Deli and their hours. Enjoy!

Parking: Parking in the garage is the considerate thing to do versus parking along the side of the courtyard. It isn't that much farther, and if you drive electric there are Chargepoint EV chargers there.“

“Honestly, I feel safe at this bar. Both me and my husband frequent this bar at least once or twice a week due to us living close. There is plenty of bar space and they serve food late. You can also watch the games there on game days. I go with the cheeseburger every time and it does not disappoint. The drinks or hit or miss and very limited but if you go for a straight drink like jack & coke you can't mess that up.“

“my husband and I went there on May 24th and you had to go to the register and place your own order and pay prior to receiving your food. needless to say we did not leave a tip at that point. we both ordered the cream chipped beef with toast and my husband also ordered the sausage gravy with biscuits. not sure what kind of herbs they put in the cream chip beef but it was not very good at all plus they also added so much pepper it was almost inedible we ate what we could and left promptly afterwards needless to say we will probably not be going back for a while maybe they can get things right but that was the worst breakfast I have had in such a long time and I was very disappointed I almost think that they did it that way because we did not leave a tip.“

“I got the lobster roll and French onion soup. The lobster was great, the bun was not fresh so it began to crumble and fall apart. It then required a fork in order to eat it.
I have had their French onion soup too many times to count. On this visit they hardly put any cheese on top. Just a little disappointing when you are already used to something.
The story soda was out of syrup. Ugh, that first drink was nasty.
The green tea drink that they have in the clear dispenser looked like a dirty fish tank.“

“I used to get food from their Charter Drive location all the time, and when it closed I was so disappointed , until I found them again at Lakeside Deli! I’m so happy I can start my day with their breakfast again. They even know my order as soon as I call in, which makes it feel so personal. “My experience here has been by far amazing from the support of the advisors and most professor’s! From flexible house and even weekend classes to accommodate your everyday life. They have writing centers and tutoring available for those who need extra support. This is my second year here and I’ve been thriving, learning and excelling. Just about everyone here has been helpful and supportive. Students treat each other like family working together to over exceed expectations. There are 2 professors who have left everlasting impressions on me both positive and negative. If you’re taking math i strongly suggest MARTHA WHITTY she is by far thee best Professor in the math department. Her way of teaching has been welcoming as she takes her time to helps students gain a better understanding! She has taught me both math 081 & 082 and gave me a significant amount of confidence! Next up statistics! Thanks Ms.Whitty! On another note my experience in English 101 with JOHN CESTONE WAS LITERALLY A NIGHTMARE DONT take my word for it look him up on rate my professor! THE EPITOME OF AN ARROGANT NARCISSIST WHO BELITTLES AND OBLITERATES HIS STUDENTS EVERY TOPIC HE SPEAKS ON NON RELATED TO RACE HE FINDS A WAY TO MAKE RACE RELEVANT. Utterly disgusting brags about his life and accomplishments, hates to repeat himself! RUN QUICK DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS with him, he started out with 14 and ended with 5! NOT ONE PERSON CARED FOR HIM. “My family and I dined here twice, and our experiences were quite different. On our first visit, the setup was confusing. Menus were placed in a stand away from the ordering counter, and we weren’t informed that silverware, drinks, and condiments were self-serve. I had to ask around to find everything, which was frustrating. I tipped, though in hindsight, I’m not sure why given the self-service model. However, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was pleasant, which made up for the initial confusion.

We returned on 5/16, hoping for another great meal, but this visit was disappointing. My son’s eggs were missing cheese, and my breakfast lacked sausage. When I asked about the missing items, the staff acted as though I was doing something wrong, which felt unwelcoming. Additionally, my over-medium eggs were well-done, with only one yolk in what seemed like a double egg white. When I brought this to the counter, the cook dismissively said, “I’m not doing it, give it to someone else.” Thankfully, the manager stepped in, apologized, and promptly addressed the issue. Unfortunately, the replacement eggs were undercooked, and by then, the rest of my meal had gone cold.The issues seemed to stem from the cook on duty that day, who may have been having an off day. It was disappointing after such a great first visit.

While the food has potential, the inconsistent service and poor handling of mistakes on the second day left a negative impression, but I'd definitely give them another try in the future.“
