“We have been happy customers of this Pizza Boli location for 5 years. We order 2-8 times a month. We order for both our family meals and for large groups of guests at our home who enjoy the variety and quality of the pizzas and wings. Our gatherings are very popular due to the pizza!!

We have nothing but the best feedback on all the varied pizza, sandwiches, and bowls we have tried and shared. Service is fast. Food always arrives hot, with cheese still melted.

Delivery team does a good job finding us, and (Google maps does not).

On very rare occasion, there have been issues with the app, and these have been sorted out to our satisfaction.

My house recommends this Pizza Boli wholeheartedly. I'm ordering again right now.“

“A go-to Italian spot in NoVA! Although their menu is small, I've enjoyed a lot of what they have to offer!

Bread - Complimentary and comes with EVOO. Bread was soft and spongey with a salty exterior.

Caesar Salad - Love that they use big lettuce leaves and not the basid shredded stuff! Dressing is light with a vibrant lemon flavor. Would order again.

Rigatoni - Comforting meaty sauce with huge pieces of pasta. A little heavy handed on the parsley, but would order again.

Lasagna (special) - Vibrant tomato-y meat sauce. Simple, but good.

Ziti - Their vodka sauce is a bit too spicy for a mild person like myself. For better depths of flavor, consider the other pastas on the menu.

Olive Oil Cake - Good choice for those with a sweet and savory palette. The golden raisin marmellata adds a sweet note, that coupled with the creme fraiche, balanced out the strong olive oil flavor. Interesting, but I liked it and would order it again.

Eggnog Tapioca Pudding - Unique take on tapioca pudding. Liked the crispy bits but was expecting something thicker in consistency.

Warm Gingerbread Cake - Rich, decadent and delicious! Reminded me of a slightly cake-ier version of sticky toffee pudding--tried to savor every bite, but it did not last long! Sad it's a seasonal item.

Black Forest Tiramisu - Exactly how it's described in the name.. a tiramisu version of Black Forest cake. Good, but the ginger bread cake is better.“

“As part of the US Army, I was sustained in Italy many years ago. I have struggled until now to find quality, amazing tasting Italian food. Mamma's Kitchen in Alexandria surpassed all expectations. Every course of the meal was just what you would expect when dining in Italy. Thanks for the great experience and for the memories it brought back.“

“We decided to get take out here for Mother’s Day as we knew it might have been pretty crowded. We have been a few times before to dine in and ordered take out one time. They didn’t disappoint this time. Usually you don’t get the same amount of food you would if you were to dine in. That was not the case. Everything was delicious and the food was hot, containers were filled enough to have leftovers. Their new garlic lemon herb pasta had a lot of flavor. Even the salad dressing was good and I had the Italian vinaigrette. The cheesecake I forgot to take a picture was also delicious and very creamy.“

“Il Porto was amazing! We needed to arrange a luncheon after my mother’s funeral and they were fantastic! We only had two day’s notice. They were so accommodating and helpful. The food and room were wonderful. Everyone enjoyed the experience and we were able to focus on honoring my mom. Thank you!!!“

“We went for dinner with 5 around 6pm on a holiday Monday. The food and service were both excellent!

We were initially told the wait would be 30 minutes, but we were able to find a table and ask if we could sit down there immediately, and they said yes. Unclear why they didn’t offer that table to begin with, and after 30 minutes, we received a text that our table was ready, so we reminded them that we had already sat down.

We were also not given napkins or silverware when we sat down and had to ask for them once our entrees had come out - after already eating a small finger food appetizer.

There are several vegetarian friendly options on the menu, but there could be some more selections, or more variations of existing dishes that could be made without meat. It was pretty good for this area, though.

The wine selection is kind of sparse, with bottle prices maxing out at around $50, and by 6:30 or so, they were running out of multiple bottles (Chianti, Malbec, Moscato - overheard from the table next to us) so we had to choose cheaper wine despite wanting to get a nicer one.

All the food was really tasty, and the marinara had a bit of kick to it, in a good way. I had the eggplant parmesan, and my husband had the baked ziti. Both came with garlic bread, which was also delicious.

The server was very attentive to our table despite the place being pretty slammed with people, likely due to the recency of their opening and the fact that they were open when many other restaurants were closed due to the holiday.

Overall, I highly recommend giving this place a try. The menu is quite large, so we didn’t have an opportunity to try the pizza or their dough boys (seems like a calzone, essentially).“

“I ordered a special dish that was not in the menu and I was surprised to experience a restaurant that will cater to what I want to eat. The squid alla marinara pasta sautéed perfectly blended with the right spices and herbs. I tasted basil and it was minty and really satisfied my appetite. Thank you for the extra freshly made bread, salad with the special house sauce + the tiramisu for the dessert. This is my second time to visit this restaurant and I will surely come back the next time we are in the neighborhood. Grazie!!!“

“I had the absolute pleasure of being served by Vaughn, and I can’t say enough about how wonderful the experience was. From the moment we were seated, Vaughn went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect. He was friendly, attentive without being overbearing, and genuinely cared about making our meal enjoyable. This was our first time at The Farmhouse and Vaughn deserves recognition for making our visit memorable. I would absolutely recommend asking for him if you want top-notch service. The food has always been delicious , my favorite is the Tuscan Chicken. The bar menu up stairs- Martini's are absolutely fabulous. I look for this to be my hangout meeting spots for business. “Ok so it is my first time ordering from here..saw a video on instagram of the food and I was sold. So today I finally ordered for my food to be delivered. Now why the delivery person give me someone else’s order, wrong name and wrong food. I don’t eat shrimp and I was dreaming about that pasta video. Nevertheless, I contacted the driver immediately and the store. Rusty was so kind and understanding of the mistake the delivery person did and we resolved the mistake of the driver. Well on round 2 my food was delivered and it was what I ordered and it was everything my mouth thought it would be. It was good and even a lil note on it which provided a personal touch and the customer service and besides the food is the reason they are now my GoTo for pasta and stuff. I miss the old days when restaurants had their own delivery person, now u order on these apps and the delivery person don’t care if they pick up the right order or not & it’s not fair to the business or the customer But thank you so much Rusty for being kind and providing great customer service.“

“WOW! Extraordinary service. Mina went above and beyond by preparing a meal of pizza, salad, garlic knots and desserts for my group of 150. She responded to all my emails and calls promptly and confirmed that the order would be delivered on time for our group dinner. She arrived right at 6:30pm with a delicious hot meal just as we asked. As a special surprise, she put together 2 really tasty trays of desserts and a large pan of garlic knots...and this was unexpected but offered by her. That's the type of service Mina delivers...on time, hot, with a smile and a genuinely friendly heart. “Trattoria Da Franco is our go to place for Italian food when we have guests in from out of town. The food is excellent and the service is top notch. A favorite appetizer is the Mozzarella in Carozza. Although the specials sounded fantastic, I went with my favorite, Bucatini Carbonara. My wife had the veal saltimbocca and our friend chose the Penne Quattro Formaggi. We capped it off with a cannoli for dessert. All in all, a fantastic experience.“

“I had an amazing experience at Olive Garden in Falls Church, VA! From the moment we walked in, the staff was welcoming, friendly, and attentive. The service was quick without feeling rushed, and our server made sure everything was perfect throughout the meal.

The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and served hot. The breadsticks were warm and perfectly seasoned as always, and the salad was crisp and refreshing. My entrée was cooked just right and tasted incredible.

“New Mosaic location just opened and it’s great. The pizza is fantastic, actually cooked with some nice crisp and char like the northern pizza snob in me likes. I also had a chicken parm sub that was fantastic. Haven’t tried the cold subs yet but there’s always tomorrow hah. The location is great on the bend of District Ave looking out down the street and they smartly installed a retractable front wall that can be opened for open air on nice days/evenings (or if Covid decides to play some more games here in the future). Also some select patio seating which is nice as well!“

“This cozy, family-owned bistro in Old Town Alexandria specializes in authentic Greek & Mediterranean dishes with Italian influences. I visited on a slow Sunday evening, and the staff was very polite and prompt in bringing drinks and taking the orders.

Each table is provided water, bread, and olive oil for dipping. The entree I chose is a Baked Moussaka, and my friend the Chicken Souvlaki Platter. Both meals were prepared and served in a timely manner. The food was fresh with quality ingredients. The Moussaka had a mixture of potato with the sirloin which made an interesting spin on a traditional lasagna dish. The chicken on the platter was juicy and tender.

The meal was in the mid-twenties in price which seems typical for this type of restaurant. The portions being a little smaller than I'd like for the price, but not disappointing. I believe this is an ideal place for a lunch or dinner date, especially if you are looking for authentic Greek cuisine.“
